they want to tackle stealth but there's other mechanics that are equally boring and annoying to play against, like mesmer with 1000 clones and stealth, vastly more annoying, reflects, invuln, blocks, I spend most my time in pvp waiting for peoples buffs to end so I can actually deal damage, to then heavily nerf stealth is just unfair, a minor nerf to stealth could just be adding the option that you do not lose target, so when they finally exit stealth they are targetted combat isn't fast paced enough, now and then I'll come up against another thief who isn't abusing stealth and the fight is over in 30 seconds and it is refreshing but most people that trash talk daredevils and stealth, they abuse reflect projectile, destroy projectile, blocks, invuln, all of them, no end... I think sadly if they want to remove stealth they will have to rework alot in game, it's the problem with mmo transitioning to pvp, the skills are just not pvp skills most pvp games are alot more fast paced and over much quicker and you're heavily punished for wandering alone

honestly, I'm convinced they have AI marketing programs making their decisions for them, it's insanity... literally I want to have a convo with the balance team, there is 100 skills that will target you through stealth, that 1 second on shadowmeld after the 1 second cast time is nothinggggg -
shadowmeld was never overpowered, there's so many skills that target through stealth, it's actually unbelievably shameful on behalf of arenanet, now we have a 1 second stealth, that has a 1 second cast time... wow as if that was ever strong lol, I see a deadeye cast shadowmeld I wonder where he could be, oh yeah where was when I last saw, him, 1 second later, oh there he is... honestly at this point the balance is all marketing, it's arenanet sucking up to deadeye haters there's already so many signle use skills that completely counter a deadeyes kit, invulnerabilitys, blocks, reflects to name a few... just such a facepalm, I am embarassed for arenanet honestly, I've played games such as LoL where blocks invulnerabilities and reflect are literally god tier skills with 3 minute cooldowns and what do we get? a nerf to a 1 second stealth lol in my opinion it's daredevil dagger pistol stealth abusers that give stealth such a bad name, I hear so many people saying deadeye has so much access to stealth? yeah but your severely gimping your dmg

Jokes aside, I've been really enjoying the animations on my Deadeye, especially the black smoke that clouds my character from the Maleficent Seven. Alot of the time however I cannot see it because of this experience gain text. Can it be turned off? I'm not bothered about the healing or damage numbers, they're very satisfying.

So, if you're using Rifle on Deadeye and you want to move swiftly freely and pierce targets all you need to do is use Skirmisher's Shot; it hits hard, it costs little, you get a swiftness boost and you cripple. On the contrary, Pistols do not pierce unless you use the Deadly Aim trait however you have to sarcifice damage (5% reduction) and this also means you miss out on the Practiced Tolerance trait (further reducing your damage), all of this considering Pistols have less damage anyway. You can't go wrong with removing the 5% damage reduction on deadly aim

The Ebonhawke Crossbow fires bolts and sounds like you expect; not a pistol. However with the Thief skill "Shadow Shot", my Crossbow sounds like a pistol. It sounds petty but it's so annoying, please change. Thank you

For anyone interested he spawned, and it was during the night. I also completed the event where you burrow for fragments nearby then soon as I got to the bounty board I saw it spawn so perhaps that triggered it, but the event seems somewhat unrelated
