Core Necro -> We need a spec newbies can safely play to get into PvP. Press all buttons all the time without having to worry about anything else. Also, shroud key is a nice introduction to situational gameplay. Enter shroud when low on health.
I tell secret, not worry, after spb and core war hard nerfs due to staff, next BIG thing is OP ranger and lots of forum QQ and then ranger get overnerf and forum happy but then vindi OP.
We might see nerfs to everything warrior-related because staff is OP right now.
Anet logic: If one traitline/weapon is overperforming, nerf everything else.
Nowadays you just pray there is an ele on the other side. Sometimes I queue as ele to spawn one before changing to reaper before the match. Fun times we're living in.
Reaper is in a very good spot. 2 necros (mostly reapers) in a team is normal while you can't say the same about ranger. Sometimes you see druids but that's about it. Any nerfs to ranger will further make reaper OP resulting in even bigger nerfs to reaper. You really want that Moose?
A natural counter to rangers was condi scepter builds, but when scepter was nerfed it resulted in rangers dominating arenas. Obviously, forums were filled with ranger QQ threads and that resulted in ranger receiving multiple nerfs. Be careful what you wish for, a nerf to class X might follow-up with bigger nerfs to your favourite class.
Try to play a vanilla condi necro. Just press all buttons all the time. If you get in trouble, go into shroud. It's very forgiving for new players. Won't carry you into competitive brackets but you'll live long enough in teamfights to eventually figure out what's going on.
Sometimes you need to assess the quality of your teammates and act accordingly. In this situation, capping is the worst thing you could do because you're idle. Your best bet is to keep killing your opponents with (whatever little help from) teammates and keep snowballing.
Grouping reaper with vindi, mesmer and thief when discussing blocks, evades, stealth and invlun.
Did you mistype engi, guard, ranger or ele for reaper?
