  1. So rarely me, but every time for my wife today - she presses “f” to get on the zip line. Touches nothing and just when she gets to the end she gets dropped. Was a real problem for getting up the platform at the jade sea meta, and certain strike missions. Please see what’s happening to people suffering this fate.
  2. I can't get the mystic forge to take the ritualists orichalcum imbued inscription to stat change a viper's piece to ritualist. Of note also is that there are no backpieces available, and worse only 2 trinkets per elite spec and apparently you have to do harvest temple 2x on each and every class to even get the ascended trinkets which are a ring and accessory that you can only by once per account?? I'm thinking that this has to be a bug as even the mist rings that cost 100 pristine fractal relics do not have ritualists on them. Even raid ascended gear and trinkets don't offer the stats and they used to have POF before you could get them everywhere. Mind you I have legendary armor - but not a legendary backpiece or trinkets. You can't have intended to lock everyone without a legendary backpiece from getting ritualists gear, and you must have made a mistake limiting purchases of ascended accessories and rings to 1 each for each elite per account. I hope you get this fixed up soon - otherwise the very vast majority of people won't' be able to make real use of the new stats. Especially stat changing ascended - you need to let us mystic forge ascended gear to ritualists.
  3. Me too - put in a bug report with screenshot - I've fed it every fish in the wiki list, and it ate them but still stuck at 10/11. Very frustrating.
  4. Ok - So with the Turtle announcement that it will be available for currency on Tuesday this is this is the result - Not a single dragons end meta in LFG all day now. Mind you several jade maw events have popped up - but the map is essentially dead. The presents a problem with the "looking back" achievement (and mastery point) that is locked behind a successful meta completion (maybe disconnect that from teh meta since you are loathe to nerf the meta). It looks like the only reason anyone was suffering through the Meta's boss fight was to get the turtle egg, now that that is available somewhere else (given the open world 50 man raid you created for the meta this was a good thing), the meta is abandoned and the map is visited for jade maw only. The main issue barring completion of the meta is time when combined with your choice of RNG for the mechanics. The hard timer at the end now could be a gold clear, add 2 mins for a silver clear, and 2 more for a bronze clear - fail the bronze clear and then wipe. You dropped timers in the strike missions with good reason, but this open world meta needs some flexibility or nobody is going to do it rendering it abandoned. The rewards for the meta need a serious buff for teh 2 hours invested for each run - gold clear should have a chance at dropping a precursor and more memories of aurene. Bronze clear should get teh current reward levels and some of the blue coins used to buy armor recipes and skins, and silver something in between a maybe 1 EOD exotic drop guaranteed + a few more memories of aurene. You could use it as a vehicle to help people gear the new elites properly for the meta as the stat selectable gear aside from my legendary armor and weapons cannot be used to get the new stats. It has to be worth the 2-hour investment. This is not a raid awarding LI towards my 3rd set of legendary armor and dropping ascended weapons and boxes some of the time along with minimum 2g cash. You can have the epic hard-mode meta with poor rewards and hard timer - but it won't get played, and then what's the point in it, and why lock other unrelated achievements like "looking back", behind completing it. Just my 2c, but a dead map means I can't even use the pre-events to quick farm XP to fill mastery tracks (which is what I came looking for, knowing full well that the meta will fail anyway with 50 randoms).
  5. Alright, failed again this morning. I'm DONE wasting my time and done with the new maps. I'm going to go back to regular raids 2 days a week and finish a 3rd set of legendary armor in medium over the next year. With the turtle barred behind a 50-man raid (Yes, I know those mechanics from raids and forcing me to do them with randoms guarantees failure - it's a terrible deign for an open world meta that frustrates everyone from my autistic daughter who doesn't want to play anymore because of it, to me an experienced raider with 2 sets of legendary armor finished, and she wanted the turtle so badly). Doing something impossible over and over again while hoping for a different result just leads to frustration, anger, and eventually hatred of the game. I'm terribly disappointed with anet locking the turtle behind an impossible open world meta to make a few try-hard players happy (and I'm sure I'm not alone in my disappointment).
  6. How do you sell runs in an open world map you can’t control who joins? Also, how much? I wonder how many raids my raid static would have to sell to buy a run for all our turtles?
  7. Ok - so 2x now with the new (supposedly nerfed) version of the meta - failed 2x times now getting just below 20%. on the boss health. It really doesn't feel any different and doing the greens are confusing the first time (I think they ported this mechanic from the greens in the Dhuum raid mostly and then made it even harder - because in Dhuum you just fly through 5 orbs and you are done). You spend more time dodging waves and running from one end of the platform to teh other than you do actually doing any damage. Overall DPS plummets like a rock as you get below 40% because the mechanics just seem to come faster and the prevent you dps'ing the boss. At this point I am loathing this fight and would rather deal with the RNG of the walls in soulless horror all day than do this. I just want my turtle egg - and then I will never do this awful and painful meta again.
  8. So did it again this morning (Time #19 since it dropped) had 3 commanders, and everything was explained to everyone. Especially about not standing in the greens. Sure enough, I person just had to stand in the green and ruin it for everyone - and about 3/4 of the peopel in the map just left then and there rather than try to finish the fight (knowing it was impossible to finish given the short timer). The whole meta has made the jade sea map outright toxic at this point. There is more than a little anger and grief about a meta that one person can wipe for everyone in open world. One person wiping everybody when you're in an open world map with no control who gets in is madness. This needs to be fixed, or the turtle needs to drop from finishing the story. This meta isn't fun or challenging, it's simply depressing. Especially with peopel taking joy in standing in greens to foil the meta.
  9. Well I managed to get through the meta 2x today. It seemed longer than doing south and north in drizzlewood was originally before they cut the time down. Still no siege turtle egg because the kitten metas keep failing. Too much moving around the platform cutting into dps, boss health is too high, we used the way stations and I saw tons of electro magical blasts going off and it still took too long to break his breakbar. Mind you I want a siege turtle egg, but it’s not worth 2 hours of my day to go into a meta with random people in open world to work on a meta doomed to failure from the start. After such a great story I was left frustrated and disappointed. If your going to lock a mount behind challenging content then by all means reduce it to a raid squad (10 man content) so I can do it with my static. Otherwise, this meta needs updating and the boss and mechanics need a nerf.
  10. It would be very nice and useful to be able to add up to 5 additional guild slots via a gemstore option. I hoping a dev reads this and thinks so too - like build templates expansions, and bank tab expansions. It would also be a way for anet to make more money.
  11. I'm just hoping ANET will say something to acknowledge the issue, and at least let us know they're working on it. Also would love to see them implement a testing server where regular players could jump on to help them with testing things like this before they go live. That way issues that come up in large groups would be seen in time. I'm also hoping to hear some word on the alliance system soon.
  12. So a dev named sentient anomaly had posted that you had to open the chest outside the instance. So for the second mastery point tier for morale breaker we opened the box outside and still no credited mastery point. So that isn’t the fix. Hoping they can give us the mastery points so I can finish maxing my MP’s
  13. Didn't get the mastery for tier 1 on morale breaker - thought I did because it was in the chest but my mastery count didn't change.
  14. Mastery point for cold front is not getting added to my mastery points available. Can you please fix it.
  15. The crashing is new with the New Years day Patch - not a pre-existing issue. Instant crash in DR before I even load in. OK, Just did some testing in maps besides DR - If i engage in combat with mobs it's instant crash, if i approach a vendor or another character it's an instant crash, if i get near another plyaer - instant crash. So please fix this - it's affecting the whole world, not just DR.

I guess today I will check out each of my charactes and determine which elite remains the most viable after the patch, and that will be my main until the next patch again forces me to change to another character. I really wish they would put chrono back to pre-hot at least. Futher nerfs... really? Chrono is a support class, I get that they killed it and druid because they wanted other classes to be able to compete for support slots in raids - but now fire-brigade is the standard. My commander's chrono wasn't out-DPS'ing anyone, it was just a support, and I miss it. You didn't have to nuke chrono - you just had to make the other classes feasible enough in raids to be included in the meta. WVW - the scourge lines made that a waste of time, and for all of your scourge nerfing you just made them more powerful by increasing the number of targets while making scourge suck in open world and PvP. I hate to say it, but I think your balance team is focused on all the wrong things. I get that balance is hard because the vast majority of players don't min-max their builds so those nerfs are even worse for the people running around geared sub-optimally. The continual nerfs just wear on people, it's frustrating, and it sucks the joy out of the game.
  17. I noticed that all the Exotic food duration had been slashed from 45min or 1 hr. down to 30 mins, this also appears to apply to festival foods that previously had a 1hr or 45 min duration. This includes food made before the recipies were modified to use slightly fewer ingredients. Does anyone know what the reason behind that change was? The only 1hr recipies now are ascended. Given the small amount of varietal seed drops and the high number of foods that must be salvaged to get the enrichments needed to turn them into a one time use seed packet, that must be replanted for a second crop... I'm concerned that the changes will do more to hurt than help cooking as a viable in game profession - especially geven the time and large amounts of karma wasted gettinjg the expensive to make 1 hr. recipies. My not just make ascended food 2 hours, and leave the old food alone?
  18. It would be great if I had some idea what the end goal of these continual balance changes is. My portal monkey, of a former raid chrono is now useless for even that because my thief can portal and boon in the process of doing so? Chrono's cannot effectively tank in raids anymore (the lack of distorion is a killer)? And here I was thinking chrono might get rolled back to a low DPS utility boon sharing elite. Mind you I have one of every elites and am used to shifting around - but I feel like every balance patch is musical chairs with one fewer viable class at the end of each round. Please share the end goal of the balance patches so we know where it is going and can actually plan around that and make sense of the changes. To be honest I've been playing mostly tempest and condi renegade since the last patch - Looks like my condi renegade went from playable to unplayable (again) thanks to energy management, and now my properly played tempest that isn't a one element wonder (but uses all the elements) suddenly got pared to effectively being a one trick pony - which will be boring and fast. I don't know what to say, except that I'm tired of reshufffling characters and being forced from playing the characters I enjoy most to playing characters I enjoy far less because the classes and builds keep changing what is actually viable. Feeling discouraged...
  19. Since you mention that - never forget that it is not always an upgrade. The griffon was nerfed in it's flying ability not terribly long ago.
  20. Look up this event "Speak from the lectern to lecture against Joko's brainwashing before the instructor arrives" on the wiki... Then check again whether the fear egg is achievement is bugged. I do think there are some trolls laughing their backsides off for peddling misinformation and costing people days in the timegate. However read the description carefully in the fear eggs clue and read the wiki for that event and I think something will click. It threw me for a loop too, initially.
  21. Look it up, it's more than 5 days if you don't have Charged Quartz. If you happen to already have all the Charged Quartz, currently it's a minimum of 8 days iirc. If you don't have Charged Quartz and you don't have the money or time to farm gold to buy it off other players, it will take an extra 22 days to get all the quartz needed for the 3rd collection. What is that? 26 days? And we still have no clue what the next 2 collections entail. So yeah. could potentially be about a month. To be fair - you can buy those items you need on the TP for about 100g as of now. I dropped 250g on the griffon. Or wait 22 days.... That aspect of the time gating does not bother me, because you can either already have charged quartz, or you can buy the items you need, or you can charge your own. At that point speed is limited by your materials storage or willingness to pay and I'm ok with that.
  22. I dont think you realize theres another and easier way for that one. Simply hug one of the abundant ice storm mobs in bitterfrost. Voila, icecubed and ticking for it. You can also just jot to bitterfrost and have one of teh whirlwinds encase you in ice - they'll find you.
  23. Just a heads up - thats the wrong event.... See alot of people misled by false information. The proper event is this one - "Speak from the lectern to lecture against Joko's brainwashing before the instructor arrives" I hope that helps you make some progress, the other event was bugged - but it was not stopping you. I got tricked too, and figured it out while standing there sat the podium rather forelorn, then the instructor was suddenly gone and I could interact with the podium and do the new event and it got me the egg.
  24. I'd just assume have the option to pay, rather than be frustrated....
