Just came back to this Mission for the "Return to..." Achievements and had the same issue. Nevertheless, if you do have a Skyscale, you can finish the Mission, although, it's a pain and I died a couple of times, due to the "Rift Wall" catching me. I hope this is getting fixed soon.
