Who would have thought that troll builds/ skills that a single player can affect an entire zerg, unbalanced skills/ lack of build diversity in meta, unwanted/ unnecessary content instead of game saving content, a meta that was originally nerfed out of existence at the beginning of the game because it was unfair/ unfun, and a complete lack of decent new content for years would finish off the game mode. Apparently not our game overlords. Hopefully alliances will change a lot, but right now it's no fun and dead as a doornail outside of a handful of guilds.

It gets worse every time there's another no new content festival. It's been that way since day one. Look forward to it 8 times a year.

This exactly. I mean I believe there were some updated items, but they were gem store only festival box...

Honestly I would have preferred GW3 announcement than no expansion and more of the likely repetitive LWS whatever we're on.

I like the combat and honestly WvW has been the one thing that's helped me stay. I started out as a 100% PvE player and now I'm a 95% WvW player until it's finished dying.

Final Fantasy XIV got their expansion this week so there are folks playing that I'm sure. Considering there are log in queues for the game right now. I guess that's what happens when you give a game content.

It's the best Amazon servers have to offer unfortunately

I'm afraid you may be experiencing the best that Amazon servers gets you. The fact of the matter is, and yes fact, is that ping and latency increased for many after GW2 changed server farms quite a while ago. Unfortunately MO made it clear they had no intention of rectifying that move.

This game is already being strangled by it's extremely slow release of content compared to other games. Not really good news for the state of the game.

I've had two drop in WvW, a couple from the unidentified gear, and around fifty from the forge.

For me the change in server location tripled my ping (Oklahoma) and it has been noticable since that change. However MO's response to those who complained was pretty much three paragraphs of "Too bad, I think it's better for everyone". Also I can attest after six years that certain festivals always put more strain and for some reason on WvW especially. Queen's Jubilee was bad too. All I know is I can barely play tonight and my internet speed and ping is great. Only in GW2 do I have a problem.

It's been an annoying thing forever and I was so dissapointed when I saw it still happening in new PoF content as well.
