Where are you getting this idea that the 30th August announcement is an expansion? It's for the first episode of Living World Season 5 and that has been known ever since it was announced by Anet. It's literally in the same post. Please stop spreading misleading information.

It's nice, but being another outfit makes it not worth it. In a game that has a heavily-driven cosmetic endgame, outfits are super restrictive and offer less choice than swapping out individual pieces like with armour sets. I'll keep my money in my wallet until they decide to pursue more armour sets.

There are some people in here who just straight up refuse to improve their gameplay. Get help from other people, it's an MMO not a single player novel.

He's just tailoring his playtime to how Anet see their players: people who drop in to play for a few hours a week/month then drop out until the next significant content drop comes. Most people don't come back though.

If you want your DPS to be private then you should campaign for solo raid content, but then you'd probably complain that it's too hard because no one else is there to pick up the slack. Yes posting DPS can be abused and made toxic, but that's more an issue of playing alongside bad personalities than playing with DPS meters.

WoW Classic won't threaten GW2 because barely anyone is playing GW2 as it is. I find it interesting how everyone has started calling the game's audience a 'niche'. It's like a nice way of saying minority. GW2 has a terrible leveling experience and isn't exactly much different from FFXIV or WoW. Hearts are still 'collect X kill Y' they just don't directly tell you that. Filling a bar is easier on the eyes. There's more to FFXIV than its 1-50 experience but at least its players admit that it's bad. I was lucky enough to level all the characters I wanted through EOTM before they removed XP gains from it and I don't regret any of it. Zerging in a group with the threat of enemy players was more interesting than filling hearts and pressing F.FFXIV expansions also have critical acclaim and high praise from players. Opinions on GW2 expansions always seem split (especially with HoT jesus christ lmao) so there isn't much hype for the stuff at the level 80 finish line. I've tried getting my sister into this game and she can't stand the personal story. It would be nice to have someone I know play the GW2 with me but no one has even heard of it. This game's cultural significance and social media presence fizzled out after 2013.

Where did you get 2-3 months content schedule from? It's been 3-4+ months ever since LW4 Ep5 and they've even stated that themselves. Ep6 took almost 5 months to come out because of the layoffs too.You can't expect much from Anet who work at a snail's pace. It takes them years to add QoL features (Swiss tournament and spec templates anyone are still nowhere to be seen) and months to add shallow story content. They provide niche content for players who play a few hours a week/month which is why this game lacks the income it needs. Players aren't going to invest money in a game when it doesn't warrant their time in the first place.

Would be nice to have the Resplendent Avian Raptor skin come back. I've become what I hate - a whale - and bought the 2k skin for most mounts already (over the past year of course). I can't decide between Grand Lion/Nightfang for my griffon so I'll probably get the griffon one last. I'm not going to buy the Armadillo Roller Beetle skin because it's ugly and it's not even an Armadillo.

no tea no shade, but this boss melted on my zerker weaver ele pre-nerf so judging by how many people struggled on this boss (who I completely forgot about because it was so easy) I must be amazing at this game
