  1. Dagger is SO close to being a viable alternative pressure tool. Especially if you can stomach kneecapping yourself in PvP and take King of Fires. But as it is, [Slicing Malestrom] is not only actively worse than the non-Berserk version it's actively unusable because ANet didn't move the Fire Aura detonation to line up with the nearly 1s reduction in aftercast. -- Meaning: That if you use a skill, any skill, at all in the .9s after the SM animation actually ends and the Fire Aura "was supposed to detonate" (which you will because this is PvP and waiting nearly 1 second doing nothing just to trigger a bugged trait interaction is idiotic before the after cast reduction the detonation will just not go off and you get to eat kitten for being a Warrior. *See also how Signets triggering [Signet of Ferocity] trait buff also lines up with when their previous cast-time(s) ended, not the current, mostly reduced, ones. --- Suggestions: I'm not saying [Slicing Malestrom] needs to be an Unblocakable Leap Finisher that would also detonate it's own Fire aura. That might be a bit too much. But at the very least it would be nice if it was actually tested as a movement skill for [Warrior's Sprint] and had a couple whirl finishers on it. And had a micro daze, better movement, or some other functionality on it. Also it really doesn't need to be "just Arc Divider but for boonstrip." Warrior has Spellbreaker already for AoE boo strip in Zergs and it makes 0 sense why a set of daggers, most of whose skills hit 1-2 targets max, suddenly hit in in aoe now because reasons. Also, yes, please fix the ^ detonation timing and/or just give it a new animation entirely. Thx for Reading if y'all did!
  2. Pushing this thread b/c it seems especially Relevant about now... Like Mukluk said today you shouldn't have to choose between Staff and Warhorn. Other classes don't. Shifting the Alacrity to Magebane Teather boon pulse for PvE and giving us back [Daring Dragon] for FUN / WvW / Whatever solves pretty much every "design problem" with Support Warrior, that exists right now with 0 effort. The work's done, everything's already in the game. Not to mention it makes Lunatics like myself who were genuinely enjoying the old old Daring Dragon playstyle/variety happy. *** ANet I can hear you over designing a solution to force "Support Bladesworn" to use Staff right now. Please don't. Staff is good. Focus your efforts on fixing DT2 patching, DT 3 projectiles (as with necro,) and maybe just cleaning up/jazzing up Gunsaber Animations.
  3. My favorite part of staff was how the targeting of rush bugged out on-stream when Roy tried to target something after the initial cast. (This is sarcasm btw. ^) It should be fixed in the final release. But it won't be. But I also probably won't be playing the game by then because all of my fellow Warrior friends have quit by now. I'm always amazed at how ArenaNet manages to completely take for granted and squander the super positive passionate community that wants to like their game. Maybe they've all just been living in their "God as developers" bubbles for so long. But it's truly astonishing.
  4. @Jackthetripper.9035 I'm curious why you come to a text-based communication medium if not to seek out and read good, informative posts. If ANet was like you Bladesworn would be dead... 🤔 Good thing they're not and the spec is only getting better. /s (Just in case that wasn't clear ... )
  5. @Widebody.5071 I know that's the narrative but I really don't think that has any affect. They 109% don't read feedback, and I get why. Most of it is kitten. But it's also their job to wade through the kittens, and especially within the Warrior community there are some amazing recent examples of how free good feedback is for this class. All of which tho has been continuously ignored. I'm fine with nerfs but the last round of "implementations" were so unexplained and represented such a staggering lack on understanding and giving a kitten about us, not just of Warrior in general but(5/5 of the traits they changed' still don't work or are bugged btw.) but especially Bladesworn. CmC can say they value "fun" and then "balance" but until they prove it, in his own words: "Words are easy and work's hard." So as far as I'm concerned, I'm personally done just being lied to every 3 months or so via twitch stream and having the class I've played for 10 years being treated as a literal laughable joke + afterthought. Is say it's "Warrior Strike Time" but all of my Warrior friends have literally quit by now.
  6. @Smoosh.2718 Pretty much. It also losses the ability to use 4 on-swap sigils via Discipline's [Fast Hands], which was like the last thing Warrior had going for it, as Revenant can. And I thought it was just me but thank you for confirming that Gunsaber IS in fact the loudest thing in existence. --- Honestly, with how Jank/Bugged half the kit is and how the skills from the other half "just fail" half the time. I'd be down for a complete rework/overhaul of the spec at this point. With how much Development money + time the Devs are clearly spending on Systems for things like Elementalist Pistols, Ranger Maces, etc. They clearly have the capacity to do this. They just are not because no one cares about / has any passion for Warrior over there. And instead of just biting the literal bullet and offloading the work to a Dev that cares about Warrior like Taylor cares about Ranger, they go "Buhhh number go up will fix problem." and layer more redundant Steroids / Traits on to the kit. Heaven forbid they shuffle the Tactics traits to make this class anything approaching functional' as a support in PvE or, miracle of miracles, actually completely revise ALL of it's broken, outdated, bugged and jus plain BAD weapon skills and systems. Bladesworn being at the top of this list. I'm not opposed to Cal or Taylor or whoever infusing passion into work on classes they care about. The Ele and Ranger and Rev for that matter updates look SICK. I just wish they cared about all of their children equally.
  7. Hey ANet, can we have our cool trait back yet? It's been almost half a year. Dagger mirage/virt currently do infinity piercing condition bursts that also debuff you with -50% healing thanks to [Relic of The Demon Queen]. Gunsaber skills still haven't been fixed. 2 & 3 constantly wiff, fly to space, or hit but don't do damage. [Lush Forest] doesn't even work with GS 3 in PvP or WvW because it's not at "max stacks." Dragon Trigger 2 & 3 still constantly just fail to move you or hit on flat ground. Bladesworn has no reliable satability, not to mention even room for a 2nd stunbreak, that it can take in it's kit. And any that it can apply is currently insta-ripped by Untamed / Virt / Thief Boon rip skills + traits while they perma cc/condi you to death. Old [Daring Dragon] was literally the only thing that gave Bladesworn any flavor, mobility, or utility. Now Bladesworn is possibly the worst any class has ever been in any game mode. Forcing us to take 2 overpowered traits [Unshakable Mountain] + [Unyielding Dragon] is not clever class balance' it's bad game design and just forcing people to play how you want them to play. Dumpster these and use the power budget vacuum to actually finish the specialization.
  8. ^ Exactly this. Also yes. No change to Dual Wielding while updating arms is like... Just put this ^ suggested version of Heightened Focus there. Or a trait that lets you trigger such traits like this without hitting or something please... Also having new HF with just an RNG sub-50% trigger ALSO on a 12s icd is going to be nightmare for both you and your opponent without some kind of buff or visual indicator that it's up. I get that you want to add the reset-burst/DT functionality back to Warrior. But please implement the above suggested change or take it back to the drawing board and take some more feedback on it before you do this. Old Daring Dragon was fun because it gave you mobility + utility and traded damage / unlockable for it. Similar things could be added to mobility skills that are currently problematic because they need adrenaline resources like [Earthshaker]. You could even have new HF just refresh your burst once and it recharge off weapon swap or something. Hell you could make it refresh like 4 times in a row and tie it to elite skill use. But requiring ANY attack to land on a sub 50% opponent with an invisible icd is not the way to do this for either Core, Berserker, Spellbgreaker, or Bladesworn.
  9. @toorichforyou.6743 First off: this was a Trait not a Skill. 2nd: While I (and clearly others) would like to see this playstyle return in some capacity -- Ideally, At this point, Just put the "If X Flow Re-Enter DT" on [Immortal Dragon]. Since [DD] is working fine for PvE, spamming this thread with obnoxious comments is going to do nothing but add to the pile of sh*t that was the original peanut gallery of idiots who didn't understand how to use it thought it was bad. It's "The Man Covered In Sh*t Problem." : If might be making a coherent argument and making valid points, actually convincing someone of an alternate viewpoint to consider your side. & Then a "Man Covered In Sh*t" walks up, points at you, & goes "I agree with this guy!" it completely invalidates ANY argument or points you were trying to make. I'm upset too. But don't be that guy. Unless you're deliberately trolling. In which case I guess you're getting meaning out of life somehow. ANet this XPac sucked for Warrior & extramega sucked for competitive Bladesworn imo. Especially with the removal of this functionality. Please consider adding it back with the coming Balance Patch. ❤️
  10. @FirePowerr.1820 I really do too. This would be the exact slight buff that old DD needed. But it's hard not to feel that the devs in charge are just legitimately mocking us at this point. Really makes me want to continue playing Guild Wars 2...
  11. Re: @Batalix.2873 Kits with longer CD's I actually really like the idea of. That'd actually be pretty interesting, considering even if you didn't put "the banner quickness trait" or "banner alacrity trait" on the core kit somewhere, and instead stuck 2 in like majors somewhere on the Elite specs, it'd give them some flavor at least in PvE. And you could definitely just make 1 "Banner" a Spear, or true "Scythe" or "Great Axe" or even a fking "Hand-Cannon" or whatever to give them actual character. It would also give them some actual use and not consign them, again, to Utility Hell' where they currently reside again. AND Even probably prevent them from having to update any of the weapons for another 5 years at least! (All of our Weapons are sad. Please send help...) GOD There's SO MUCH they could do with Warrior. Like: Tell me you want to be a Weaponsmaster again without telling me you want to be a Weaponsmaster!
  12. @Batalix.2873 They already said they don't want to tie it to utility slots anymore. Honestly I'd favor just like a Tactics (Supposedly the Support' Trait Line) trait that says "Apply ancillary support boon on class mechanic" I'd def be down with. If Grandmasters are supposed to "Deifine a Specialization's P.laystyle" as they've said a million, billion times I honestly really would favor a system like this where we only have to sacrifice' 1 trait slot to this madness instead of an important one one each relevant Specialization. But that's getting more into the Balance Weeds here & tbh I just want Daring Dragon back. 😭🙏 Also, side-note, tried out Mesmer for the first time & like... What? the gameplay is SO MUCH more fluid than ANYTHING on Warrior. War legit feels like it hasn't been updated since this game came out. Can we get some of that polish on like all of Warrior's kit pls!?!? K thx bye. ❤️ ❤️
  13. Real talk tho. If it could be some kind of Paragon Ranged spear throwing-staff that just happened to have some support stuff on it, that you yank back on a chain or it teleports back Kratos 2022 style that'd ROCK.
  14. For this to be a mistake and it really be main-hand pistol. I'm not joking.
  15. @Myror.7521 I like how u added this without adding an edit note. Imo, I think the -10% DPS you'd sacrifice if you could take Alac LF + UD if that's what you mean, might be enough to balance out the DPS. I don't disagree with your core point tho tho. Old DD absolutely rocked! & there are soooo many better ways that they can do group Alacrity imo. (See above ^.)
