  1. i didnt even know there was this type of an adventure... i ride my turtle with new players daily..lol good to know
  2. everyone already answered your questions just wanted to say that u can easily farm the curencies u need in the livingworld season 4 maps to buy as many trinket/jewelry sets as u could ever need. i have 31 characters and can easily get acended sets of trinkets for each of them anytime i want. with accumulating over 300k Volatic Magic and 13 million karma, and over 1000 of each map curency. i have over 2500 of them winterberries too... its a mater of days not months. and as for lurels i havent used any lurels in atleast 6years i have over 1000 just sitting in the wallet. u can make a million karma in about 2-3hrs just farming in sandswept isles. (at 50k karma per stack, 20 stacks is 1 million karma, u only need to kill 5000 enemies. there are loads of respawning enemies and events with huge groups and swarms of enemies. aoe like crazy just gotta tag them to get kill cred.) also i use about 7 million karma each year on xmas presents...cause why not.
  3. Welcome back grayghost. Here are the quick tips and info you will want to know off the top: (and for anyone else returning or new) Inventory: the deposit all button is moved next to the sort button. and in the options menu of inventory click the"hide bags" option. Level 5 boxes do drop( right click to customize armor) Unidentified armor stacks. There are Right-Click menus for Salvage Kits and Stacked Consumables. Stream: if you stream that you are returning, players like me will join your stream and either help via your stream chat or come in game and help out. alot has changed in 10 years. Character Level Guide: this is located in achievments directly under the daily tab. this tab has 5 volumes. each will unlock as you complete the previous volume. this will basically help you learn all the basics in the game and level you up pretty fast. (ex: dye your armor, dodge 3 attacks, use healing skill, mine ore, use the bank...) Mounts: yes we have the best mounts in any mmo. you will get the free raptor at lvl 10 but if you want all the mounts you must earn them from Path of Fire Exapansion and beyond. expansions likley to go on sale soon for xmas. you can only buy skins in the store. must unlock all mounts in the game through an acheivement. mounts have added abilities with mastery points. Master Points: after 80 and have acqured an expansion you may start finding mastery points these are our awesome side progression, instead of increased levels. theres far more mastery points that you can earn than you can spend. lots of points are awarded through specific achievments, story, and insights found throughout the maps. using these points on mounts will increase their abilities. I suggest maxing out pack commander for tyria for the AUTO-LOOT from kill to your bag. All mastery progress is across all characters on your account. Build: constant changes, just like GW1, GW2 will constantly tweek and change skills and traits. review what you had. go to the pvp lobby and mess with different combonations, attack the practice dummies and swap up the traits switch weapons find out what you like. Specializations unlock at level 21, 45, 71. this is where you will learn your builds with traits. Elite Specializations came out with each expansion and new weapons available with those elite specs per class. any class can be a Tank, DPS or a Healer. (I like my specter which is a Theif Healer and my Reaper Mionion Master which is my Necro Tank) Guild: you can go into any map and ask for a guild invite you will likley get messaged quickly. join one asap you can always leave it later if you want. there are alot of benefits just to be a member. its basically instant access to a merchant, a bank, and free permanant buffs for your characters( i'd suggest Guild Exp). once u accept the invite check mark the rep guild box and go to guild hall. when you want to return to where you were in the game open the guild menu and leave guild hall. it is one the best and cheapest ways to manage your inventory when leveling. The rest will come in time Good luck!
  4. The Toys are toggle-able just use the box or table again or leave the instance. Also gamers shouldn't click on things randomly. Even with the trickery, once it happens to you, You now know how to avoid it. I've had no further issues from the toys since they came out even when one is place upon a chest. I have all the table/box toys except the water balloon one. The toys also put a marker on the map making it easier to navigate and direct players in map chat. Id be ok with a personal use buff too. as it would drive more sales of the toy. As for the mounts, like I said the bug happened only when I was on a mount so with that test run alone the game has the ability already to make it happen. its just being able to discover the program and code needed to use as a buff.
  5. let fortnite be fortnite and gw2 be the epic open world exploration adventure mmorpg it is. there are a few magic based rpg style BRs out there and its completely different from that of this type of game. theres plenty of pvp maps and mini pvp games to play. If u really need that br rush fortnite is the king right now or go to any of the other ones. im against the idea of a BR for gw2
  6. Recently I had found a rare bug that enabled all my land based mounts the extra ability to glide slowly down much like a griffon. I made a short little video with the bug as it was quite fun to jump with a rabbit and float across the map from one mountain to another. Once I brought out my griffon the bug ended. but the idea of having a temporary buff much like the bobble head toy came to mind. and if this toy was made I would definitely buy it. The bug did have 1 draw back and that the fall damage did kill my mount upon landing still but if I moved forward while landing the damage was negated. I think this would be not just a fun low gravity toy to move around the maps but a way to allow more players more enjoyable ways to enjoy their mounts. To keep it to not be so game braking I think the buff should only work while on a mount as this buff could get players to high places much like the other mounts. Their haven't been many new toys made in a long time and i can see this toy would be PVE only of course. and I wish it to be a table or box to be sharable with other players. I'd like to get the communities thoughts and hopefully get the Devs to see this suggestion.
  7. I have to say I'm completely against the boon caps at 30 secs. this renders every support build i have as wasted attributes and synergies. most of my support skills that granted more than 30 secs on cast for a boon or when coupled with a trait or second skill now gets deleted/ lost. what is the point of increased concentration if the original skill gives 30 secs of a boon. swiftness cap is by far the stupidest cap I've ever seen. my ranger was a support ranger that could grant 3 mins swiftness and regen, and then 1-2 mins of fury and might. now that support class is trash, all the boons and traits to increase boon duration is useless. instead of stacking durations with skills u basically have to wait 30 secs in-between skill use to get max boon duration and that's just silly.. as for necromancer there's skills that says it grants 36secs of swiftness...but nope only 30 on use so now all my skills are lies. oh im at 20 secs left of swiftness let me use this skill that grants 15 more seconds...nope only get 10. gain sigil of speed swiftness on kill...lets SLOW the killing down to get max benefits. the only way to keep up any boons now is in mid fight and wasting time on skills u no longer get all the benefits of. devs didn't think this through. i can see maybe dropping cap for wvw but not pve. anet literally destroyed all the helpful support class builds for open world play in one small update. thought the divinity gear would be awesome with the updated concentration but now i just hit the 30sec cap on almost every boon i produce and all the other beneficial time is lost. slow clap for the anet dev team... great job at making boon durations and points in concentration feel even more useless. but instead of making the players feel more balanced this new boon concentration and expertise increase and ramped up the difficulty of all mobs in non core game lvl 80 maps. all their boons last 2 times longer and their condi dmg is increased like 3 fold esp with torment that drains our life for standing still. that torment "swap" is stupid there's very few npc enemies that stand still so now forced to hopefully have a root skill to keep them still. I feel like the devs just don't want to see players standing still anymore....which is why pretty much all the boss fights that we used to survive on you now see people getting wiped on cause they didn't constantly walk in circles to keep torment from draining life...oh wait bosses tend to do knock downs for 6 secs, freezes for 10 secs and stuns and roots for long periods to mass groups...mix that with torment for the duration with 10 stacks and you see players die alot... I used to love playing support ranger and my healer guardian, now its not worth my time anet rendered almost all my boon builds useless. Thanks anet! I'm afraid to even look at my boon dmg warrior pretty sure that's rendered much less effective since u cant keep boons up for a long enough time to stack them and keep dmg high. Yeh you increase the ability to get concentration only to completely nerf it to the point of nearly uselessness. I'm so thrilled I just am on the edge of my seat.. its like anet wants us to play all dmg builds or only boon for solo play, what's the point of granting boons to others if it runs out in a few secs to where u cant stack the boons. if devs are going to limit swiftness to 30 secs, they should enable stackable swiftness to 3 stacks giving 99% speed boost for 30 secs. to replace my 3mins of 99% speed boost they stole from my ranger. and 1-2mins of 33% speed boost on my guardian. and the 45 sec speed boost on my necro. I imagine a bunch more classes all affected by boon duration loss. also devs need to adjust all the skill descriptions to be accurate as its basically lying to us saying it grants 36secs when its only 30 secs. -very saddened long term player of support builds.
  8. My list of QoL improvements; (I'm sure most of these have been listed but just wanna make my list all together.):Disable Glider Option-(in agreement with Hesione.9412) please put a check box to disable gliding in the options menu. This would let the jumping Puzzle runners and fanatics like myself to have the challenge of all the jumping puzzles prior to Heart of thorns. and that dang glider has killed me more times than anything by accidental over sensitive deployments..Environmental Soulbound Item Skill Bar-Shortcut availability so that we don't have to have our huge inventory taking up half the screen and then having to stop mid fight to then search through all my bags for the group of environmental weapons and items. (this would exclude the account bound items which are for the shared inventory slots)-More convenience slots that could be buyable with gems. the slots would have to be unlocked account-wide but have the ability to store character soulbound items for each individual character. (i.e. my Mesmer could have slot 1 the experimental rifle and slot 2 the experimental teleport gun and my Ranger could have slot 1 as rock, and slot 2 as mortar seed turret.) this would alleviate all the soulbound items in the inventory and make them much more usable in the game for PvE Gameplay.-Make it a Menu where it populates all soulbound items in your inventory in a list on the left and the available slots on the right with the corresponding shortcut lingo.-Add a small Bar to the HuD with a button in which it can be maximized to show the bar and minimized to hide the bar.Character Login screen-Make a favorites list (I'm in agreement with others) on the pinning the main characters that we play to be at the front of the list. like make a favorite characters section above for the top 3 favorite characters. some of us have 15+ characters and scrolling through them all is a pain.-Scroll Over Selection give a quick snapshot of the main attributes for the character like Name, level of professions(i.e Cooking 453, Jeweler 24), Personal story level (i.e. name and level needed), World Map completion percentage, and i'm sure there is a few others ppl have thought of. I really hate having to log into every character with huntsman symbol to find out which one has the highest level for that profession to then have to re-log several times. yes if i just leveled them all up it would work too but a simple number next to the icon would fix this issue.-Zoom in/out feature My Asura are so small and my Charr take up the entire screen. Would be nice to zoom in/out and see the detail on all the characters current armor.-Picture Mode: have the ability to hide the surrounding HuD without having to wait the 15 secs, have more backgrounds from earlier character select screens, GW2 wallpaper art and/or fan art to where we can have our characters pose and take snapshots of them. (have ability to select emotes or poses for pictures).Account-wide gathering tool slots-Add buy-able account-wide gathering tool slots i agree with earlier post of 400 gems per slot. this would make me play my other characters more as having to keep swapping the unlimited tools between characters is a pain..Customizable Home Instances-Pick up and place nodes (excluding the farm) the placement of those nodes are horrendous in every home instance to me. having the ability to organize my nodes and place them in my home where I want them to be would be sooooo much better.-Allow furniture unlocks in the home instances: it doesn't feel like a home at all as its not customizable like the guildhalls with placing "furniture" items anywhere you want. most of the home instance space is completely wasted. no one goes to their home to admire the story they chose or sit and listen to the 3 npcs standing around.-Purchasable merchants/bank/trade post/ other useful npcs : this would be a way to add some of the basic useful npcs found in cities for the players that want to make use of their home. could even monetize it with gems like (i.e. Home Instance Merchant 400 gems) also makes the home instance portal that much more valuable.-Unlockable Special Collections Merchants : these would be like the Special Food merchant where you have to go collect every buyable food item from merchants around the different maps. these would then unlock that food item in your home instance for the same prices int the world whether karma, coin, or other currency. Add the racial weapon and armor merchants to be unlockable in the racial appropriate home instance. they could be unlocked just by leveling up to proper level or by doing another collection..Hall of Monuments Personal Lounge-Make it into a personal lounge for those that took the time to link their GW1 accounts. Could even retrofit it to have the npcs dress in GW1 outfits for bank merchant and trade post. Doesn't have to have all the perks in the paid lounges but just the basic 3 or so npcs for quick trips. like crafting npcs are not necessary. also making it customizable with furniture, plants, decorations, etc... would be nice too..Greatly increase the amount of available unlockable storage vaults please i would buy so many more if you had more available to unlock..That's all i can think of i may come back and add to this later. but those would all be a great QoL in this game after playing GW2 for the past 2653 days since launch. i know this is long but wanted it to be readable and organized.
  9. i agree give all the gw1 fans a small perk, mosty of us already have 2 or 3 lounges already but it would be nice to see it used for personal lounge
  10. Before i get into the main topic of ideas for this post we the players of GuildWars 2 could really use an items bar for all those usable items we get from special merchants. instead of having to open our over-sized inventory mid fight to pick out a 1 time use mine and a 1 time use flower turret, it would be far more engaging if we could either click on a tool bar or set some keys to be able to use the items in the slots. or just make the account wide slots into key-bindable slots to be used on command making them even more valuable to buy $$$ and give more use to the fun little items we collect in game. Add choices of skills to skills 2, 3, 4, 5This meaning to give the weapons more skills to use with the build you want to play. this game is all about skins and i love the dagger skins but dagger is crap for most of my builds i play as.In GW1 we had the choice of 8 slots and hundreds of skills which i know was hell to balance but why not make it where the weapons of different levels unlocked more skills that could be traded out. basic-fine: normal set of skillsmasterwork: option of a 2nd skill for each slot (plus the previous 1)rare: option of a 3rd skill for each slot (plus the previous 2)exotic: option of a 4th skill for each slot (plus the previous 3)Ascended/Legendary: option of a 5th skill for each slot (plus the previous 4)you can change the skills much like the other 5 skill slots with the pop-up arrow above each slot.this will allow healing builds to better spec with weapon skills that could now heal on hit or create healing aoes etcthis will allow condition builds with the weapon of their choice instead of being forced to use weapons that are not what we want to use but we have to use them to do the damage we want.--this will allow power builds to not waste skills that do more conditions than damage.--this will allow pvp builds to be much harder to read--this is actually alot of skills that could be added to the game and alot of them could be taken from gw1 or just made anew for gw2. like being able to make more minions for a true minion master or heal minions on use of a skill. i get that its 4 new skills added to 4 slots of each weapon and these skills would all be different for all 9 classes--Math: 4 skils x 4 slots x 19 weapons x 9 classes=2736 skills at minimum as some of the weapons can be in either hand and that changes skills.--this paired with Build Saving much like in GW1 would create the ability to have some pretty awesome builds and could be swapped out quickly when out of combat.
  11. My ideas for underwater content that could really work for the game in all current maps. could also start the hints of who the underwater dragon is by finding underwater hidden tokens or lost artifacts that give clues to the dangers of the underwater elder dragon. Doesn't mean we will see the dragon but it would be fare better way to explore more of the maps that are being left behind due to all the new maps that have come out. Fishing should be through capturing fish from an underwater mount A mount would be needed to capture schools of fish. this would make it interactive and fun over using a fishing pole. (requires adding interactive schools of fish to every zone with water.) different types of fish would be located in different zones of the map that we already have. Leveling up the mount masteries could collect more fish from schools, open up merchants with account bound recipes. (recipes that increase a stat against underwater enemies and a buff that could be separate from normal food and axillary buffs and give a celestial type buff to players while underwater.) Why or Why NotThere is huge vertical space available in every map already created and the dev team wouldn't even need to create new maps. Simply adding to the maps they already have will allow for more underwater pets for rangers and create underwater bosses with 3 axis attack skills (like a giant squid that spins and shoots ink out while moving). there is a whole world that could make underwater combat fun and want to go to zones that rarely see players anymore. this can make way to a full "Endless Sea" map where only a few small islands exist on a map and the underwater caverns would be a maze of exploration. more under water mask skins would be needed, more under water weapon skins would be desired. legendary crafting of underwater weapons would be in demand. (there is a ton of space in each zone under the map thats just known as the "Sea of the Void" why not use that space and add content to that water? Dolphin mount(holding on to the top fin and saddling the back of the dolphin) (animations with Asura would work well if they hang on with just there hands when swimming quickly) Skins could be dolphins, sharks, whales...Abilities: Swim quickly underwater- allowing players to traverse the underwater areas with ease.Masteries that increase speed not just the speed of the dolphin but allow the dolphin to ride fast currents that stream through out the underwater areas much like how the glider works on Ley Lines. if swimming into the current you would be spit out quickly in another direction without the dolphin mount mastery Attack skill: Torpedo - Spiral forward and cleave every enemy in its path.Crab mount(sitting on the back of the crab) Skins could be different crabs, crawfish, lobster...Abilities: Burrow underground-this allows a player to travel avoiding enemies ability to lock on to you. (AOE and blind swinging could still hit your mount.) This could allow the player to burrow through walls or get to under water caves that could be otherwise unreachable. (similar to the dig tool toy that lets you move under ground) this could also allow you to get in to areas that would be to small to enter in without a potion to shrink you. Crawl up vertical surfaces - allow to slowly climb up vertical surfaces. it might not be as fast as jumping from ledge to ledge or swooping down and flying up or using the dragon to slowly elevate but it would be different and unique in its own way. Some walls are hard to get around but with the crab you could go under the wall or over it with ease. (pair this with a dragon mount holding the edge of a wall and you could swap to a crab mount from a dragon mounts and continue up a wall.)Attack skill: burrow jump smash (anvil style) this can work from on land, on side of a wall, and underwater._On land _the crab could burrow under ground pop-up from underneath and then quickly slam down on the enemy. On a wall-the crab could jump off and slam down on an enemy below. (negates fall damage). Underwater the the crab can either burrow if its on a ledge then jump n slam or if just in open water slam down like an anvil from overhead falling until it hits an enemy or a ledge. (for large deep waters this could be immensely useful to go down very quickly in water.Let me know what you all think . there was a big article on fishing in gw2 recently by a large rpg site so i wanted to see what people thought here and hope that anet sees this and gets a few ideas for the future.
  12. I get to the loading screen after selecting a character and game crashes instantly and restarts the launcher. I log in again and its a repeating loop of clicking on any of my characters and crashing on the loading screen. ever since the first patch for loading Path of the Fire I've been getting either complete white screens or constant game crashes. No, it's not my video card I don't have trouble with any other massive game I play online. right now GW2 is unplayable after the last patch. It's a good thing I've already beaten the path of fire or id be a bit madder.
