    When SotO was released, there were things thay you could only get on Wizards Tower (like crafting legendary Obsidian armour), so I wouldn't be surprised if some vendors on other places don't work.

    I've tried the ones in LA, Mistlock, and a few others. None work. That said, a quasi confirmation that some of us are having issues exchanging, so submit your reports if you are:

  4. After reading Rama's letter and heading to New Kaineng, only Gorrik is visible. Taimi is nowhere to be seen.

    Dialog doesn't start, but if I talk to him I hear the story progression "bing" but nothing happens.

     

    Tried reloading. Tried stopping and starting the story. Nothing helps other than occasionally if it is a different map, Gorrik changes his "stuck" position.

  5. Well... this has been one of the more interesting troubleshooting experiences I've dealt with personally and professionally.

    As I went further and further down the memory error google search rabbit hole, I came across a conversation about someone having a similar issue (but not with GW2). In their case, it turned out that while the DDR4 DIMMs were from the same manufacturer they weren't made by the same OEM; some were Samsung memory chips and some were Hynix. Their issue went away as soon as the DIMMs were all made by the same OEM.

    I pulled out all my DIMMs (thankfully G.Skill labels all their DIMMs so this is easy to find and decode) and sure enough: 2 were Samsung and 2 were Micron. Now, mercifully, my wife and I have identical rigs. So, I pulled her RAM and 2 of hers were Samsung and 2 were Micron as well. As soon as I matched up so all 4 DIMMs were the same "batch" all the issues went away.

    Super weird, but GW2 is humming now with full DOCP and ReBAR support and 70-100 frames at 4K. (World boss and WvW pirate ship FPS need not apply.)

    System Specs:

    • AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
    • NVidia EVGA RTX 3080 (v531.68 - ReBAR Enabled)
    • 64 GB RAM (DOCP Enabled - Passed 24 hour MemTest86 with 4 passes)
    • Two 4K displays - One in landscape, one in portrait.

     

    Ever since the D11 changes, my game has become very unstable and it is the only game I play on this system that crashes or has any issues. After months of clicking "Send Error Report to ANET" with as much helpful detail as I could and seeing no fixes, I am coming here hoping someone else has seen this issue and has a solution. In an act of desperation for just this game, I completely reformatted my system and kept nothing OS or system related. Installing only a mouse and keyboard and the Nvidia drivers, the game still crashes every 10-15 minutes. And this is just idling in Mistlock Sanctuary.

    Other errors have shown files on a D:\ drive that I don't even have. Other reference Nvidia drivers, but not always.

     

    Searching reddit and the internet at large has a bunch of recommendations to shut down or alter background applications and overlays, but on a completely clean system, none of those things apply.

    Rev is all about energy management; moreover burning it and flipping legends, not camping in them. Nothing about this trait works with that mechanic or philosophy. Whatever trait this gets tied too, I would recommend making it like Forceful Persistence that the amount of Quickness a Herald pumps out is tied to upkeep. This makes how much comes out when in Glint optimal, but if you switch to Shiro, Jalis, Mallyx, or Ventari their upkeep can sustain it until you flip back.

    EDIT: As far as the crit chance being added, I think that needs to be put on a minor trait in invocation instead. No sense Rev losing out on this cause Rolling Mists and Charged Mists are already in stiff competition and crit is always needed when making up for class specific changes.

  8. I really like the way the Zephyrite Paraglider looks. Then I was playing Horizon Forbidden West and thought that same style, but with a Synergetics bent that resembles the shieldwing from that game.

  9. Honestly, ANet could also just make Dagger/Dagger baseline with the current sword skills and add main hand sword for a S/x power build.

    The inertia for Sword main hand is completely tied up in Rytlock being the "first" Revenant and needing to still use Sohothin. Doing the above still preserves this idea while honoring Shiro as a D/D assassin.

  10. I went with an Asura, cause I love the race, generally. My "head canon" is that he was a graduate from Synergetics who invented the infinity ball and became obsessed with dimensions, time travel, and ultimately The Mists. Falling into Revenant magic was a natural consequence of his experiences at that point.

  11. I initially opened Ticket #6819285 for this issue and they recommended I post here. I am happy to provide more information, but capturing this is kind of tricky.

    I recently crafted Eureka and noticed some peculiarities with the footfalls compared to the other legendaries I own. It presents as:

    • Footfalls appearing sporatically while traveling in the same direction.
    • Footfalls appearing without issue while running in one direction but not another.
    • Footfalls not appearing at all.

    After continuing to play with it over and over the issue is more common/worse on HoT and PoF maps and varies with my resolution settings.

    Lastly, this behavior is not an issue with my other legendary weapons on the same character in the same locations. I'm curious if the client prioritizes effects like footfalls and somehow Eurekas were set to a lower priority than other legendary weapons and are getting culled in the process.
