Is there a way to disable Necro shroud screen effect?
Rhinala.1739 replied to Nexideus.7946's topic in Necromancer
The green tint is especially problematic on boss fight like strikes and such where i cant be sure about color of the ground circle. I am going to reduce the post proccing only on important boss fights when i want to have as little clutter as possible. -

I did some checking. I lost my green ting by changing to postprocessing to low. options->graphic settings than toggle the postprocessing dropdown -
Which expansions do you have? Do you have all the Living World chapters? One important thing to consider, starting from Heart of Thorns (I think) metas are part of the story and become more dynamic and interesting (you can ignore Gyala Delve. It's a long, monotonous, and boring meta). The living world chapters can be considered as questing in this game, and those chapters become better over time (the peak of the Living World storytelling is season 4). You can do low-level fractals if you don't have agony resistance. You can do strikes, A lot of guilds have strike training groups that can teach in a very understanding way. Path of Fire has bounties (killing unique world bosses in a set timeframe after activating it) that are a lot of fun to do, and we can never forget the events in the zones. Most of those events are good some are meh.

The Icbrood Saga starts to give rather easy access to ascended gear. It has great events (one of them is a heavy metal concert). Drizzelwood Coast is one of the best metas in the game. Path of Fire bounties are fun to do, and the zones in this expansion have some amazing events. Season 1 is meh, but many chapters give a 20-slot bag as a reward.

Error 108 when trying to purchase SOTO
Rhinala.1739 replied to Rubi Bayer.8493's topic in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website
The funny thing is that this error was present before the expansion's launch, and only Edge was able to complete the transaction. Now I am trying to buy this expansion for my young daughter, and all I get is error 108 on every browser. -
Stop making walking simulator content.
Rhinala.1739 replied to Shadowmoon.7986's topic in Living World
I loved GW1 missions, especially Nightfall's and Eye of the North, but I can see where you are coming from. The new maps are so unimaginative that I am somewhat uncertain about the quality and scope of the new expansion because Anet gave us a very bad precursor. -

GW1 and GW2 were always PvE story-focused games. The meta is part of the map's story and the instances story should set the meta up. Let's take the iceborood saga as an example (spoiler alert). After starting no quarters, Efram says that he will take the beach side while Kasemeer will take the other side, and this is exactly how the meta works. The meta is part of the ongoing story, and I see it as amazing. Having maps that are all about repeatable content without anything behind it might fit part of the community and alienate the rest. -

The walking and talking aspect is not the problem. The main issue is the underwhelming delivery, interacting ten times to hear a portion of the recordings instead of one interaction to tell a full story. It was too short, I understand what it tried to show, but it didn't even have the time to deliver a portion of what it wanted. It was one of the worst episodes, the only one that surpass it was placing danger signs at Wayfarer Foothills when season 1 was released. -
Anet, Please Give us Observer Mode

One of the things that I like the most in gw1 PvE spectator mode is the ability to see the skill activation. It is a good way to learn from another player. -
Suggestion: Stop Making Jumping Puzzles Mandatory
Rhinala.1739 replied to Robe Robbing Robert.6425's topic in Festivals
I hate jumping puzzles with a passion, but I don't want them to be easy. This game is vast enough and has enough content for the players. I don't go to the super adventure game because I don't find it as fun, I don't craft because I don't enjoy it, same with PvP and WvW. I don't think that making content easier is right for this game. Some challenge is always welcome. -
What's a good casual/kid friendly profession/build? (June 2023)
Rhinala.1739 replied to idpersona.3810's topic in Professions
Both of my daughters play vindicator and love it, it think that the damage dodge make it a bit more fun in many aspects, Renegade can be extremely fun you she likes ranged playstyle.. -
Some of the guilt portions were done properly (only in the first chapter). I loved to see the ghosts of past casualties, characters that the player cared about. The final boss fight in the first chapter was kind of interesting. On the other hand, the second chapter felt rushed and uninteresting. What I really dislike is that we had to circle the area and return to the surface and fight the final boss there instead of going deeper into the chasm to see the damage that the excavators did.

Vanilla player hoping for a 'Final' Return of Living World
Rhinala.1739 replied to Varwick.6138's topic in Living World
Season 2 is o.k. but nothing to write home about. Season 3 adds new maps (from that point onwards every season of the living world adds maps) and has a good story. Season 4 has an excellent story and lets you unlock the skyskale and the beetle. The Icebrood saga has a nice story, let you unlock ascended gear via blue prophet shards/achievements and it has one of the best farmable location in the game. -
The Icbrood saga maps have some type of personality. I love the NPCs' conversations and animations in those maps, it helps me immerse in the events (like dominion scouts dancing while listening to Metal Legion and the speakers propaganda that tries to brainwash anyone in the vicinity). The enemies are different and diverse, with good scaling. On the other hand, the new map looks amazing design-wise but doesn't have any personality, without interesting NPC conversations and without interesting events. This map is just forgettable.

I enjoyed most of the game content, including the icbrood saga. Comparing drizzelwood coast with this release felt required. What lies beneath/within fell short in every aspect, the meta wasn't as good, and the story wasn't as compelling (an understatement). Some dialogs were ok through. It is scary to think that this is the new direction that the game is taking.

I don't believe that this is the end of GW2. The game has received a lot of new and returning players lately. I believe that the next major enemy might be one that was forgotten. The elder dragons are gone, the god left, and Balthazar is dead. There is a vacuum of power that Menzies the Mad can exploit.

I don't think that the player will ever lose tyria becasue it will fragment the player base and create insane techincal problems.

Have we been playing the same game ? Pretty sure mesmer has been nerfed every balance patch for the last 2 years Phantasm re-work would like a word with you.Do you mean the forced shatter? Or the fact that as a mesmer you can only have one playstyle?
