Pretty confusing... so u want Anet to make us run around and capture stuff with only 10 people, being told what to do and when, for 30 mins to 1 hour at a time? Does this include then wait in a lobby for who knows how long for reset? Rinse repeat... and u need an end? The only end I need after a hard 50v50 2 hour fight inside bay is the satisfaction of watching the enemy give up and run away 😀

Bit confused not sure what op said but I like scouting and defending best especially against big zergs and guild groups... long fights inside smc/bay etc are the best. Have been in plenty of small groups that have done a quiet ninja on smc, garri etc... its all fun. Sick of ppl trying to make everything in wvw easier.

In gw1 they walked along and blew open gates. It wasnt a mount it was a siege weapon.. They should be in wvw as siege not as a mount. Would be fun to ride one and blow up stuff tho.

Get rid of all servers.Make 3 servers/worlds. Green red blue.Make people choose a world.Stop transfers completely.This causes even distribution of players so no stacking and no tanking to run from stacked servers.Small weekly reward for winner server.Monthly reward for winner server.Every server does not get a special lollypop prize for participation.Server pride is restored.Desire to win is restored.Fear of having to fight against stronger server is gone .

You will be confused and lost to start with. This is normal dont worry about it. If it looks like nobody else in in wvw its not true, there always is. You will get killed and splatted all over the ground over and over by crazy demented mobs. This is normal dont worry about it. If u like wvw and stay u will get used to it and learn to enjoy the pain. You will need to get gliding asap. You will need warclaw asap. To get warclaw speak to the warclaw tender by spawn on any map. To help u with warclaw it is easier and faster if u buff yourself for speed and find a tag and follow. You will be left behind, dont worry about it, just run lol. This will also help you figure out wth is going on and why. Glider and warclaw masteries are in WvW Rank and Abilities. Good Luck. I just think GW1 Cantha = Alliance Battles, JQ FA map fights... Hopefully new expansion Cantha = wvw and siege turtles.

Welcome to wvw and thankyou for your input and ideas :) The wvw devs say they are doing something and have been for a long time... I personally think it will come out in the new expansion. We have been going thru this for years. There have been so many threads like this...... we are waiting and hoping but just.... tired.

Yea its how wvw goes. If the groups/zergs on ur server are doing this it means theyre coordinated and and know what theyre doing. Lucky you.

I like the eotm map, just dont like what people did on it and the effect that had on wvw. If they made it into a regular map with all the trimmings, so that its the same as the others that would be fine with me.

I have been repeating this for years. Server transfers and stacking is mainly what killed wvw. Wvw needs to be blown up completely. Transfers need to be stopped completely. Make wvw RvR like in GW1 red v blue. People should be made to pick a side. No transfers then creates server pride and the desire to win the war for your world. There should be a small reward at the end of each week for the winner and a bigger reward at the end of each month. Then add occasional events/tournaments. I keep harping back to GW1 yes... but ppl were happy with AB, FA and JQ battles and they fought for their side. I think I remember that if you did transfer, your guild had to leave your alliance or the whole alliance had to transfer, which meant disbanding and re-forming. The alliance I was in transferred to the other side once every six months to get the Kurzick/Luxon pve points. I dont think the points gave an advantage in AB, FA or JQ battles. Anyway thats how I remember it... pity they didnt make wvw the same.

Blow wvw up. Stop transfers. Create 2 sides Red V Blue... or if need be 3 sides Red V Blue V Green. Make people choose a side. A small reward for server that wins each week. I dont give a shit about new features or objectives. Wvw needs to be blown up completely. Transfers need to be stopped completely. It should be 2 or 3 factions, red blue green, thats all. People need to be made to choose a side and stay there so there is no need for transfers, then it becomes a war with loyalty and pride for your faction/world. Server transfers stacking is what ruined wvw. But ofc Anet wants gems.

People communicate from all three maps on Team chat. Callouts for help and commanders announcing they are tagging are made on there. Team Chat is the red writing. Map chat is only seen in the map u are on. It is usually mainly "chat" but some callouts for that map are made there. To find out if there is a commander running u can ask in Team chat or just pop around to the maps and look for a tag. While dead u can wait for a sympathetic soul or waypoint. Its not a walk of shame the ppl in wvw have died thousands of times lol You will need a Warclaw mount to get around. The Warclaw guy is near spawn. Warclaw mastery is at the bottom of rank and abilites. Easiest way to get it is to buff ur gear for speed, find a tag and just do u best to follow. We all had to do it, so dont sook about it lol In wvw ppl cap camps, towers, keeps, look after dolyaks to upgrade stuff, build siege inside keeps/towers for defence, kill enemies, some sit in keeps and scout or some scout the enemy. Some run in zergs, some go alone. Some run around in small "havoc" groups. U can do what u want. Escape from the horrors of wvw is at the bottom of the thingy that opens when u click the wvw icon up top left of the screen.

I know. It was embarrassing and frustrating at the same time. But ya gotta start somewhere right? It is hard when ur new and dont know what to do but there are some good suggestions here. I remember when I started playing GW2... doing some stuff with guildies they ported somewhere and I only had a few copper, what a noob. I hadnt even figured out how to get gold yet and had to ask one of them to pay for me to teleport, which was like 1k.... lol how embarassing.

There is no need to get Warclaw unles you wvw. It does nothing in PvE. A person who does wvw is going to put in the effort. The amout of crap u have to do to get the other mounts is huge compared to warclaw. I only have bunny and raptor because of this. If you only want warclaw to sit on it in towns and cant be stuffed doing the bit off wvw it needs dont bother and please stop whining. Some sort of rental would be a good idea.

The other day someone asked how to get a mount and what to do. Some ppl on tag dropped back to help them keep up.... shock horror ppl were actually nice lol Its pretty simple really.Ask for help in chat dont cry and whine.Buff ur pve build for speed.Join a tag and follow.It will get done.

This... ppl left wvw for the easy farm and wvw suffered because of it. That cant be allowed to happen again. I like the map, its a fun map, just dont like what people used to do on it. Would be good if they made it a regular wvw map and rotated it weekly with Desert BL.

SoS was the original server GW1 Aussies moved to on day one but ppl have transferred off, and come back etc etc. Aussies are still on SoS but idk wether its more compared to other servers now, how would anyone know really, but yea seems like theres a lot around still. You could check out wvw stats.com for OCX times. OCX time has always been strong on SoS.... we do suk tho.
