Since the relic is a recreation of the 6th rune feature, and since that rune feature is decomissioned from the rune set, you are wrong. -
I would say if the socks replaces an already existing legendary feature (that becomes decommissioned), we have all the right to be upset.

If the Skyscale were to loose its flying functionality at the release of the expansion (it can still run on the ground), and you had to buy the expansion to upgrade the Skyscale with a flying functionality relic to recover the flying functionality, would you consider this as if nothing was taken away?
