If current gw2 devs will make gw3 it will not be any better. Incompetent balance devs with bias towards/ against classes and gamemodes and obviously pure hate towards high skill ceiling/ cap and zero knowledge/ understanding how good, skillful and competitive balance should look like cannot make a good game. And if the casual, no competition, noobcarry game is called gw2 or gw3 will not make much of a difference for competitive gamemodes in the long run. For PvEer it might be some fresh air, they can play throught the 3-5 years of development in 2 months and then start complaining that they are bored. Seems good! 👍

Asking for any buff to anything on any class is clearly a crime these days.

You need to delete the "face your target" requirement for Mantra of Distraction, not the target requirement. Deleting the target requirement is the opposite of a QoL improvement.

I know, i know! But Anet sees PvP just as another mode where casual PvE player can chill-grind some loot after they completed the whole expansion PvE content developped over months in 3 hours.

That is part of the PvE grind. You only can enjoy as PvE player!

It is quite the opposite for most good players i know. Serious tryhard pvp player either never started to play GW2 in the first place or just stopped sooner or later since this game has nothing to offer for a player with a fair and competitive mindset and an actual talented skill cap and the demand to not be carried by build but shine by skill only. I personally don't mind the current bursty style, it is way better than the bunker nonsense we had here and there but its also far away from providing a high skill requirement. I myself got bored by this game for quite a while already because it is just so easy to play, even builds that are not at the top of brokenness are spammy and forgiving to play. This has not only but a lot to do with the power creep of every aspect of the game. Means only nerfing traits/skills/builds that are even more overperforming than others, while the whole game is in a state where it needs a full reset to delete inflation, will not help in the long run. I would go so far to say, that only mediocre to bad pvp player would think this game is skill intense. And only ppl who don't mind to play only highly casual without the need to feel challenged skillwise can enjoy pvp to some extent. And only wannabe goods and wintraders who don't care to build up a way too big ego not the slightest related to their actual skill lvl would waste time to take GW2 PvP serious and tryhard in PvP.

I love how the first page of the PvP forum is 98% Ele related topics. No other class ever managed to do that until now.

That is sad then, for me that were 2 different server without any link to each other. I know there were an initiative that CmC were talking to the class coaches but stopped at some point. I guess that were when the other more elitist discord was created known as balance discord?

I only know that there are 2 different discords existing. One is called Welcome to PvP, with class coaches. the server is mostly to help new and bad ppl to improve, to answer questions about classes and pvp. Everyone can join. The balance discord is not free to join, you need to get a special invite. No clue if this one ever had a specific name.
