  1. same experience here, i lost access on the skyscale on the new expansion too.... So I can't play the new expansion anymore(since mostly needs skyscale) until it's fixed i guess

I find the Thunderhead one on CM is kinda annoying since the boss just dash all day long (then do some annoying 2 chain knockdowns wherein the 2nd hit is actually 2 hit - lifting wing/arm then shockwave). The lifting wing/arm one is hard to time since the moment it gets lifted, anything within melee range is instantly knock downed. If u do dodge it, u get hit by the shockwave next unless double dodge. The Block is a bit tricky too since the adds can remove it. I'm guessing stab is the way to go but the damage hurts too. Another thing to point out in Thunderhead is the color of the environment + the AOE circles and fire. If the boss manage to stay in the middle near the forge, you need very very GOOD EYES to differentiate between where is the fire and which is the ORANGE AMBIANCE COLOR. Same goes with the small little destroyer crabs in the sea of adds if it goes hectic. On a different note for the Thunderhead, anyone manage to understood how the dash targetting on the boss work? or is it fully random? My last attempt on running it solo, i manage to make it ping pong on the side pillars. But I kinda can't replicate it anymore since it always charges to anywhere it wants. Haven't tried CM on Snowden so can't really give a thought about it,
  4. This game is laggy to the point that I'm starting to doubt if they even actually care. And it's not an ISP kind of lag too considering this is the only game where I am having constant ping spikes (reaching beyond 4K ping most of the time) and severe delay that even cutting down an elder wood node takes an annoying amount of time much less trying to actually play the game. I'm in for the expansions in all honesty but skipping maintenance on the current version of the game is like saying, "I'm making an expansion so you don't have any rights to complain on how bad the current state is. Either endure it or go away." Quick Edit : This normally occurs around 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM GMT+8. Starting way around October (yes, I am enduring this for that long already)
  5. The amount of thieves I have to rez during Bounties says otherwise... Actually i rezz everyone because i mostly play Engi.. That said my Warrior dies in Tyria maps my other Classes do not.. Even today i was chatting to my guild and they all agreed Warrior needs super help. I find myself in the same situation in open world with my warrior, rezing a good chunk of players that go down. Meanwhile I'm still at full health and tanking the same damage that killed them (and yes I'm full glass). For open world people just don't know how to use warrior traits to their advantage.Why do u guys suffer when you can play as a trailblazer scourge for Open World? XD
  6. The state of warrior right now shows how BAD ANET is on balancing the game.I predict next time, warriors will have all their CC skill increase to 300s and do permanent 0 damage and self stuns cause why not?
  7. This actually happened when they disabled banners from warriors during that banner bug in OW (I still want to think of it as a Lion's Arch Community Effort Art). Why bring a warrior that does like half of a burst of a META DPS class when you can bring another META DPS class in fractals. For Raids, the 200 x 4 stat lost on warrior (100 x 4 for the rest) is too much (Power, Prec, Fero, Condi damage) that some static groups back then actually removed warrior from the line up and just bring another DPS to fill in the gap. Yup! Pretty sure this will happen. Heck some groups already ditched druid for Healbrand and just bring a SLB that bring frost spirit on fractals and raids. Heck some just bring a Tempest Healer / Heal Ren on some occasion while SLB bringing the spirits.

  10. If it was true, then guess what - dire/trailblazer wouldnt be the only viable condi gear, viper would be just like it is in PvE. Because you "only need condi dmg". You just actually prove that my narrative is correct with this line to be honest. Why do you bring dire/trailblazer? cause it gives you TANKINESS while bringing DAMAGE (condi). Can you honestly do that on a Power Spec? Being on the same level of Tankiness with dire/trailblazer while being able to do the same damage relative to the Condi damage that needs time brings out? Uh, yes. Have you never seen a Spellbreaker, Dragonhunter, Soulbeast, Ranger, Weaver, Firebrand, Guardian, Warrior, Holosmith, Scrapper or Necromancer? All of which can sustain for an incredibly long time with power builds while also doing exceptional damage? There is a core Ranger build right now that has very high Boon uptime, is nearly immune to Conditions and can do very high damage. There are plenty of Power builds that can sustain just as well, if not better, than many of the available Condition builds. You mean on Marauder build or SOLDIER? cause I'm going on the SOLDIER route of being tanky as comparison for Trailblazer/Dire sets. Also, we did kinda divert quite a bit to my statement that in order for power spec to deal actual damage, they need to use 3 stats (power, precision and ferocity) and for condi, you need condition damage. With this, in what way was my statement incorrect? (since you already agreed that you did prove that said statement was correct)

  12. I voted for the condi to be nerfed considering a lot of skills in this game applies 2-3 condition as easy as giving candies away (and oh boy, do they hurt a LOT when it gets applied more). Sure you can cleanse them here and there but between how much a player can apply vs how much a player can cleanse then well, you can imagine which one would lose at the end. If I were to give an opinion on how to balance this without any changes on the current condition mechanic (behavior and/or otherwise), I would request to remove all armor stat combination that gives Toughness and Vitality on top of condition damage. Why you asked? Considering for power spec, you need Power Precision and Ferocity to deal some actual damage while condition only need condition damage (zero expertise is needed for a lot of them considering the duration they have at base is already enough) it kinda does not balance it. OR, we could revert back the old condi behavior? like bleed caps on 25 stacks, burn extends duration instead of intensity (so is poison and confusion). OR, you know, MAKE VITALITY ACTUALLY MATTER IN REDUCING CONDITION DAMAGE? :disappointed: For Stealth, it's a VERY long debate and issue to be honest. If Anet just implement a simple way to break people out of stealth like, i dunno, getting hit? Then there's your counter play.
  13. Been a day. Well, the good thing about this incident is that I get to finish a lot more IRL stuffs (that I was originally planning to do tomorrow). Pretty sure this will take quite a while to get fixed.

  16. A BIG SOLID NO. I mean seriously? What do the people that says YES want as the next measurement for pug runs? Achievement Points? Titles? Trust? I've been thru a LOT of instances where people keep on yapping about how they are Voice in the Void title holder (VitV), Fractal God/Goddess, etc. etc and that they are indeed correct and doing everything right, and yet when I look on their DPS thru arc they are doing like what? 5K dps? to the point that even an alac ren out dps them? and they are supposedly DPS roles. (and this is not an exaggeration). Would you like the next measurement to be like, "LF Players with 35K+ AP for " just like back in the good old dungeon days? Or should we go and be like, "LF Players with Voice in the Void title for Wing 5!"? Then what if you wipe on said content?, Who are you gonna blame when for some very ODD reason, you didn't meet the dps check cause some of them are using non dps/heal/boon gear and meme traits? kick who's not META? How do you tell if a class is not META without numerical proof? What if they link everything and they are indeed running full meta gear and traits and yet doesn't know how to do the proper rotation? All of these can easily be answered by both combat logs as well as the dps meter in all honesty. The introduction of arc dps and its subsequent approval from Anet made it so that people can judge other people's performance by numerical data. If your goal is to "Play what I want with a build I want" then it's better for you to just host your own group and advertise as such OR you could just avoid those groups who actually ask the people who join them to carry their own weight (DPS, Boons, Heals, etc.). If your goal is just to get carried and hide the fact that you only do auto attacks while wearing a full soldier/sentinel/minstrel or whatever build combination you have that is not meta then they are entitled to kick you out of the group (and god forbid if your only there to stand and look like attacking). If you feel like even 3-5K dps is enough to clear the current contents then I can't say anything towards that other than "at the very least, your having fun doing it even if it would take you a lot of time, just be careful of the enrage timer for raids (some of them at least) and also the mechanics for both fractals and dungeons.". If you feel like you do not agree with me on my points then nothing I can do to convince you otherwise. This is just in fact my own personal opinion on this game that I had played for 8 years now. Note : I know there are A LOT of grammatical errors and I do ask for forgiveness on that considering English is not my first language and definitely not my strong suite.
  17. I managed to complete this one using thief. For some reason if you close the box after it resets, the race still continues on. So I hopped on my thief and used all the possible movement speed (dash) plus the signet that restores endurance and the trait that lowers it's CD. Can confirm it's still bugged but I managed to finish the achievement and unlock the mastery line. Edit : The Mastery Line has 2Million EXP and looks like you can finish it using the S4 Meta(s) rather than doing the POF maps
  18. Best Class are Rev/Guard/Ranger/Ele/Mesmer/Thief/Warr/Necro (in no order). Let's all be honest, you can use the BEST CLASS but still fail hard if you don't play the class properly. I've been into T4s and even CM where a Pchrono outdps a soulbeast, an Alacrity Ren outdps-ing a Berserker, a Healbrand that only gives 12 might and 20% quickness uptime and so much more horrible stuff that will make the BEST CLASS seems like the Worst. Oh and I've run with a group running Heal Tempest (that boon madness) with and a Boon Chrono (STM + Alac Well) and still does the same thing as the BEST Comp of Rev + HB

I know for a fact that if you play sPvP a lot, you can actually grind the 1,200 in a single season considering as per wiki,"Completing the last tier of each seasonal reward chest in the PvP league will award from 25 to 100 Ascended Shards of Glory. Repeated completions of the final reward tier, Byzantium, continue to reward 100 shards each" (Source : https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Ascended_Shard_of_Glory) And you don't even need to buy off the exotic nor the ascended required to buy the Mistforged Glorious Hero Armors since you can just do the reward track for the exotic one under the Glorious Reward Track (Sources : https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mistforged_Glorious_Hero%27s_armor and https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Glorious_Reward_Track) Back to the topic : Isn't it like the same with the other people's example? The people who replied on this thread keeps on pointing out the time investment and the materials in the equation yet don't seem to get the "value" of the armor in question. It requires the player to get 1,500 - 2,000 WvW Ranks to buy thus promoting a sense of value to the grind they did to hit that required rank to buy that exclusive armor. Now that it was suddenly dropped to 500 rank for whatever reason, it's like a slap in the face for the people who grinded their way up from whatever rank they were in when the armor was first released to what they are now. This is also why I wanted to petition to lower also the "value" on the exclusive sPvP armor by lowering the rank restriction since honestly, they are the same. People might say that sPvP is faster to get rank 100 compared to getting rank 1,500 - 2,000 in WvW but by my understanding, both can be slow depending on the player. Surely you people won't say that rank 100 is fine for sPvP considering a % of player had already achieved that rank is a valid defense while denying the same fact on the WvW player base right?
  20. I stopped expecting it once we had passed the 2 year mark.I already accepted the fact that they did not have it in the works considering the amount of time that had passed already. If they ever do release it then... well... congratulations I guess. Been a few years too late though.
  21. Not a good defense to be honest. It's not about being "faster" but more on the lines of "value".On the context of which is faster, let's all be honest since this IS a subjective matter. Hence why I would like to petition also to Anet to lower the "value" of the time-gated armors in sPvP by 75% (Rank 25 - 30 or 40 or something) like what they did in WvW.
  22. So basically, he wants the classic tab targeting MMO game where you only click a skill and call it a day? I dunno anything about this summit1g guy but man... based on the feedback here I am guessing he's not a fan of complex games nor a fan of reading and understanding game mechanics. Well, at least he tried GW2. This is why level skip from 1 to 80 was a bad thing imho. You learn the game as you play and level up that when you hit level 80, you have an idea on the game and the game mechanics. But that's only my opinion and is outside of the bounds of this thread. Edit : On the very least, I agree that the condition damage and its application right now in the game is too much that it looks more like a burst skill rather than a Damage Over Time which it should had been. But meh, its a topic that was discussed a LOT of times already and anet just flat out did nothing to it and instead just went full ham to the point that we have this meta in both PvP and PvE.
