  1. Thank you guys. I also have the feeling that it was some shortcut that activated some overlay, as I could hear the mouse click, but it simply didn't go through. I did a pass and removed a lot of useless keybind. If the problem persists, I found an offline keylogger: I could install it to understand what combination of keys triggers this behaviour. Cheers!
  2. Hi, I don't know if this is the right section, but I need your help, so it probably it is 😄 Recently it happens that my left click doesn't work, while I'm fighting, and always in raids (when it often means that I'll die or let someone else die, when I play healer). Few days ago it happened during Sabetha and today during Matthias. During Sabetha I couldn't even click on "retry from last checkpoint", after dying, so I had to restart the PC... (no character menu). I tried to change mouse, when I couldn't click, but with no avail, so it doesn't seem a problem with my mouse. I played 2 different classes, and in-between I also changed keyboard and it still happens. I really don't know what it could be. Any wild guess? I didn't change keybinds recently, just added a legendary set to the armory, but I don't see how this could affect it. The only weird combination of keys seems caps lock while clicking, but it's not that. And it's not even the camera mode, accidentally.
  3. Considering the content we received in the last couple of years, I wouldn't mind if GW2 will go in maintenance mode. I will probably still play it, like people still play GW1. But if GW3 will be a direct sequel and replace GW2, I guess it'll be time to stop playing MMORPGs. I'm too old to get attached to these games for so many years and then start over again.
  4. I'm also unable to login since I installed Windows 11 on a laptop (no problem with Windows 10 on another PC, using the same router). It says "an error occurred, try later".
  5. If you plan to play SotO on your main character, after you buy it, at least until you unlock the Weaponmaster Training, then you will probably find a weapon that you like in every profession, so I'd go with a profession that you may want to use, possibly different from what you play now (for example if you play a power warrior, a condi ranger will be useful for things that are too difficult in melee). If you want to use the booster as soon as you buy SotO, I'd chose thief (but also mesmer and elementalist are good pick), since it would need more time to level up, using its core weapons. EDIT: Actually a mesmer is a better choice, since it has been always in the meta, with every specialization. Thieves will never be in the meta. Never.
  6. She might reveal herself as evil character, true. Not only because she schemed all the time to kill people she didn't like, brother included, but because in the last episode we saw that she is a bad strategist. The plan to keep Labris alive ended up for being a mistake, and also Nephus told her. Usually "heroes"/good guys don't do these mistakes. Nephus might become the new ruler (he seems to care about his people more than Peitha does), but this wouldn't really solve the "why did we trust and follow Peitha?" Is the Commander really so dumb?
  7. Well, they are definitely more expensive than runes and sigils. I can buy them again, true, but I'd be quite sad if I have to spend 20 gold or 250 pinch of stardust again. Are they sold at a discounted price after completing the collections? I can't find this information on the wiki.
  8. I also feel very disconnected from the Commander in this expansion, but for this very reason I would find a silent Commander even worse. When I play FF14, I have the feeling that the devs expect me to dub my character, for role playing. The problem is that I don't like the main character, so for me it's just a person who cannot speak, and feels even more disconnected from the rest of the NPCs. If it's dubbed, I can at least listen to the dialogues as a story that doesn't really affect me, like watching a mediocre movie. In this last chapter we are already quite ignored, like when it says "speak to Peitha" and she talks to the General (at the end), or Ramses and Arina talks to you instead (at the beginning).
  9. I really don't like how things are going with these relics. I have the inventory of my characters filled with relics that I find useless, but I'm scared to salvage because in the future they might be changed. You can buy runes/sigils, but it would suck if I destroy a relic now and in future I want to buy it again (at least I'm glad that I can buy them with ascended shards). Paying 970 gold for the "QoL" doesn't really sound appealing on the other hand. But I guess this is their goal: bloating our inventory with account bound items or pay 970 gold to free up 30+ inventory slots.
  10. OP is right to say that the story feels particularly rich of filler content, but personally I liked this chapter. I already didn't care about SotO story, and the fact that this chapter is very short, has long dialogues that require few input, so I can go afk for a couple of minutes, plus the fact that I can just fill the bar doing random events, it means that I can complete the chapter with all of my characters quite fast, and then move on on content that I like more. I cannot say that so far it has been worth the price, compared to previous expansions (the content is basically our farming to get the legendary armor, that some of us already had, and relic, which is power that we already had and had to gain back), but at least I like that this time I don't have to complete the meta 25 times or specifically kill the new bosses in the convergence 50 times. I don't like to be forced to play the same stuff/instance hundreds of times just to complete an achievement, and this time it seems that I can complete them quite fast. The game is big, so I'm totally fine to just do the bare minimum for a new expansion/chapter and go back to what I like to play.
  11. While a stun-break is indeed useful to ignore fear, almost all of her attacks hit in a cone in front of her. Staying behind her would be easy... if only we could see her face. When you are in a bubble of 50 players, it's quite difficult to see the face of a boss (unless it's a huge flying pokémon like last wyvern. Not saying as complain though, I like its design, even if the wings cover too much the screen, in a such close ranged fight). So yes, some sort of telegraph would be better.
  12. Sorry for the dumb question: you are trying to progress the vol.3 mining/hearts in Dredgehaunt Cliffs, Harathi Hinterlands or Blazeridge Steppes, right? One of these 3 maps? For some reason, Taidha doesn't count as boss for this achievement, even if she spawns in Bloodtide Coast (which is mentioned in the tooltip).
  13. I agree with most of the OP's feedback. I don't like the whole concept of helping a stranger to plan a coup, just because she asked us first. We didn't even know who was the king and what he did, at the beginning of the story. But yeah, let's trust Peitha, she doesn't seem manipulative at all. We have to prove ourselves and convince the Kryptis to trust us. Why? They should convince me to fight for them. If they prefer to serve under Eparc, good for them, it's not my business to convince them to kill their king. Last part of the episode in particular was quite underwhelming. We assaulted the queen's palace in three. 3 versus 1. For a queen, I expected some better defence. And this is even more awkward when Eparc says "gather your army". We are... four! But strong! That recital at the colisseum was also very anti-climax: the Queen gets free from the chains, and what does she do? She kill herself, instead of fighting us in 2 vs 3. Eparc is raged, becomes more powerful, and what does he do? He leaves, instead of just killing 3 people. Then when we ask the General why he left, I would like to say "because he must wait 3 months", but unfortunately I can't tell the Commander the truth. Also, as the OP said, there is no reason to call us Wayfinder, it sounds a mockery. We are the most clueless person there, we even say that we still don't know how things work there, but we are at Dagda's disposal. A "way finder" is supposed to be someone able to see a path ahead, before the others, and then guide them through. But we just follow what other people tell us or ask to do. Because we know nothing. We just help with chores ("Wayfinder, glad to see you, use your skyscale to kill those turrets", "Wayfinder, fetch those astral ward supplies". "escort this team"). I understand that we play an MMO, and we are supposed to do chores, but don't call us wayfinder if we are the last peasant of Nayos. Call us... "Jo". Now imagine Frodo saying: - "Commander, kill that octopus". - Hey, I'm the Commander, I should give orders. - "Wayfinder, kill that octopus!" - I'm the way-finder, I decide our next move. You follow me. - "Jo, kill that octopus!" - ... Okay See? Easier. Nothing to complain, it's even a genderless nickname, short. And it reminds us that in the end we are just the average Jo(e). Petition.
  14. Thanks a lot for the offer Danikat! I started to play GW for the title, but I'm still too poor to afford a mini. Anything that remains that other players didn't claim, would be appreciated 🙂 (GMT+1 here, but I log-in after work, 5-6 pm) I actually don't even know what minis I need, I'm quite lost with GW1 tbh (I'm trying to get the ascalonian defender title without dying, but I'm not even sure that it's a good idea or if it's better to just level up fast to 20 and then take the exp by turning books all at once).
  15. OP might refer to a manual version of something like Blish's Squad Tracker. Especially if you are commanding a raid squad, it's quite annoying to write down on paper (like I do) every healer/alac/quick. Not to mention that in training runs people constantly leave and join. Being able to set some tiny marker (even if only for the commander, to avoid adding more stuff on screen) would be nice, instead of continuously asking "do we have quick in sub2?"
  16. I don't like them, such as the other legendary armors. But then I also don't think that many players will use its default skin, like with the Kryptis Skyscale; even if the skin itself is nice, everything that can be acquired easily in open world is usually not used, because too common. I'm sure that I will reskin them as well. The light weight has those golden spikes that I don't understand. It's like they tried to make an outfit that it's both elegant and kitten, but it's none of them. It's like wearing a wedding dress paired with high boots. But the boots are lined with wool and have a Scottish checkered pattern. It's not elegant nor rebel. Maybe with shorter spikes and if they were silver instead of golden. The medium weight is... nothing particular to say really. It seems a plastic outfit bought from H&M. It might fit for a thief/assassin that doesn't want to be noticed, but probably wouldn't serve that well for a sneaky job, with that sheesh-shoosh noise of the plastic. The heavy armor is probably the less ugly, at least for me. And only because it looks like hundreds of other plate armors, so not much to say. The only "weird" thing is the runic symbols, that remind some sort of spell/protective enchantment, and looks out of place in a plate armor. At least in a standard fantasy theme. In GW2 we actually have plated mages, like revenants (and maybe also spellbreakers), so I guess it could fit these 2 professions.
  17. The thing that I hate is when a boss has so many icons that keep changing place. It happened several times that I want to link a boss' buff in chat (for example the blue guardian's immunity that you have to strip, if you are doing a w1 training run, or the wet debuff during Matthias) and I end up for linking a different icon because in the meantime the boss got different conditions. I'm not sure I'll like 2 rows of icons, but maybe is the only solution. But most importantly, they should put dots (bleeding/burning, poison...) on a different row than buffs/debuffs used by bosses for some mechanic.
  18. I'm always baffled that a game that received so many positive reviews, both from the critic and players, is still basically the only title of its genre/CORPG. I started to play it after GW2, so I find it a bit slow/clunky, sometimes boring as combat, but I'm sure that's only because it's quite old (the rubber banding is a bit annoying, if you play it only with WASD). All problems that would be solved with a modern version. I think that in our "modern age" of videogames, where people want to play MMORPG in solo, a game like GW1 that lets you play at your own pace (even FF14 added companions in the base game), but has other players in hub/villages to watch your skins/achievements or whatever other vanity stuff, would probably sell well.
  19. They might add it as mini-season, maybe, but I'm not sure that it would work as permanent mode. On the one hand it's true that the less objectives are in a map and the easier it would be to understand how it works, but having 2 cap points instead of 3 is not really more complicated to understand in the end, it's just more of the same thing. And even if you have cap points, I think that burst specs would be still preferred, as it could be faster to kill your opponents in small fights, rather than walk to cap something. With only 2 capture points, the strongest team could cap close and then grief the other team far. It would be quite difficult to escape at that point. Idk, for me it's easier to blend into the team if you play in 5 and you are a noob. Experienced players can understand if you're playing bad, but for a new player, being in a team of 5 could seem like a shelter and probably put less pressure on you. Not saying that it's a bad idea, but probably it's better to play in 5 for new players, at least they can follow the others if they don't know what to do.
  20. Nah, pretending to be blind won't help. If I know that last step requires 550 additional victories (at my rate of 2 matches per day, with a 50% win/lose ratio), per profession, means that I have to play for 13.56 years, knowing that my next step is "only" 7.39 years away won't really change anything. It's actually easier to drop the ball now.
  21. It's one of the very few content of SotO that I don't AFK (unlike metas), so no, I don't find it boring. Rather, I'd say annoying. Sorrow is not even particularly engaging to fight, but it's very frustrating and annoying for the heavy CC he does: the vortex that sucks you in and you can't go to Zojja, the rocks/boulders on the ground that block you and you don't see, that F1 for the leyline that you have to constantly enable/disable. There are many things that are just annoying, but the fight itself is not boring for me. Still, I look forward to the day I'll complete my 100th run, for the achiev. Although now I'm worried ArenaNet will put another tier and ask us to complete 250 convergences in the future.
  22. I'm also not happy. They threw the stick too far this time, I'm not going to fetch it. Sure, it's not mandatory to complete it, but the "problem" is that it demotivates also with other long achievements that I was going to farm. If you already know that you will leave some long achievement, you are less willing to complete also other long achiev.
  23. I also would like to know more about the tier2 (both as skin and cost). I have enough mats to buy 2 sets of legendary PvP armor and 1 set with LI, but I'm still waiting to decide what's the less ugly weight for each set. I guess I have to wait other 3 months before crafting them.
  24. Oh my, I was counting the days now to reach my 200 PvP victories with my last profession, after 6 years, and I've just read that this is not the end 😕
