Guild leader of MAS - a WvW-ONLY guild. We decided 2 weeks ago to stop playing Friday resets, precisely because you actually CAN'T play on Friday resets because of the lag. Decided we'd try to find a night when our skills actually go off when we intend them to, as that would be a ton more fun than what we were experiencing. Support this post (with exception to subscriptions) and hope you'll communicate with the WvW community as to your plans to make things better.

We run structured teams, focus only on WvW, have been around 6 years and are willing to help returning players catch up to the meta, as well as develop new, committed team players. Bumped so you can check us out, and that 15 character thing that's required.

That is a really objective summary of the difference. There is no risk being required for the reward, no thoughtful trade-off required. Run TB gear, mash buttons, kill all before you and never have to dip into your core health pool. This is awesome for new players to WvW because they don't have to know much other than where their F keys are, and they can kill and collect bags. But, as for the rest of us... well... hope there will be people sticking around cause this has all the makings of a repeat of the post-HOT exodus.
