  1. @Avatar.3568 so you say if we watch a video from one of those good players, you will see nothing they could do better in a hole match?I know misstakes happen, but on how much times they happen compare to others shows theyr consistancy. So how much times is a good player allowed to have bad desitions/ not optimal desitions to still can tell that player is good in this game? And on my point there are at least 2 non optimal desitions on maprotation/ mapavareness and depending on how much fights a class is involved, its between 5-8 desitions each game on each player at average on each match i saw till today and im not counting addaptations on bad habbits. How about a deal, show me a video and then we try to figure out why that player made different desitions and if they where good and whatelse they could do. Just to clarify: 1v1 is not the only thing that matters in a match, its only to show how well they can use different mechanics and those mechanics get even more complex as more players and maprelevant points exist. So basically reach 500p bevore the other team. Your team tries to outvalue the otherone at those map relevant points and the strategie that can afort that at best, or better said at best a player can possibly follow the strategie, is the meta. Means also if a strategie is way harder to fullfill then anotherone even if its the stronger one on theory, as long noone reach the skill lvl of that strategie its more likely anotherone will be used.

  3. Why do i hear so much about ideas of changing things and mechanics and nothing about better options to learn them? I mean we are too far away having a really good player (imo that player is so good, she/he knows all fightsituations till at least a 3v3 for metabuilds, all mapsituations and how to addapt at those situations to get the match as best at your favor). If i count the best streamers and known players i would say the limit of the player is allready at 1v1s and all what goes over it goes to random button smash (sure they smash faster then others otherwise they woulnt be the best players, but still without knowing what they do it stays at the same skill). If we cant learn from the best more then pushing buttons faster then others, thats insane how far behind we are to TRY to be compeditive. So giving all players far better tools to learn the game, is better then changing/ rotading skills and everyone just stops getting better. Btw. maybe i just have higher requirements on what our community should be capable to do esp if we talk about our BEST players, but im also seeing alot of downgrades on our personal skills and i get really mad if i think about our options to learn the game and what we got on pve (THEY HAVE A INSTANCE FOR THEMSELFS/ THEYR TEAM, CAUSE THE RAIDS COULD BE TOO DIFFICULT FOR THEM ALSO THEY CAN MANUALLY CHANGE THINGS* AND WE STILL SHARE THE SAME PLACE WITH THE HOLE LOBBY! btw. even if we got this options we have on pve, its stays bad). *Boons/Conditions, how much hp the golem has, how hard he is and if i remember right the numbers of dmg dealt in a timeline. Second point: If we change mechanics and players learned to use them better, we still have the mental part of the game. The main reason, we have no community and today so few players it would be better to take all servers together for pvp to have at least a little more variation or even better: just shut down pvp till it gets more love. I still ask myself why players never get supported for helping the community out of theyr mental issues like toxity/flamming/Overconfidence/giving up/being mean and outside of that we also have ofc hackers and bots that need over twice as long to be removed then on pve. Third Point: We have Ranked, Unranked, Hotjoin, Tournaments and everyone has his own issues. Ranked is a gamble mode, but till today most players think it is something that showes theyr skill.Unranked could be a good options for so many things but its at least nothing of those: not a scrim for teams that want to play tournaments, not a place for new players learning, but also a place for guildmissions, oh and there are some players doing stronghold.... Hotjoin was a place for casuall but thanks to a change a long time ago, with minimal comunication most players thought ranked is the new cassual mode. At least you have the 1v1 servers and noone that just runs into your 1v1 right?Thanks to the same change a long time ago most players leaved pvp for ever, without realising that teamranked goes even more profesionall by having a real tournamentevent with limited time, means you have also time to prepare for this! But today you see the same two teams over and over and over.Those things need to be fixed more then some mechanics noone is able to use close to correctly. Without good players, there is no challange or motivation at this game, with the remaining part of the community that got mental issues and sharing that issues to others or with luck are able to leave pvp and as long noone knows how a mode was suppost to be used and you have no inspiration for it there is no future for PVP. And you know whats the worst for me: Its the best MMORPG outside esp. on how good the mechanics are, so you could have the best experience on a player vs player mode, just throwing his potential to be even 2 steps more ahead of all others and on that point im mad as hell! Im crying and im bleeding inside!! See ya, maybe.

  5. Hello mates!Pvp is since ages very porly treated, we all know it, just our other parts of the comunity doesnt notice how unfair we are treated. But thats not theyr fault, the bad guys are arenanet.I really hope we can open the eyes of the rest of the community, so we are not allone to fight arenanet on this unfairness against us. Maybe we should also ask the wvw community to help, since they are also bad treated. So why dont go at the forum over pve and show of what do we get in compare to them.I start simple What pve have and what we have in compare: We have a balance patch, thats going to have a bigger uptime till its there. Atm all 4 patches are balance patches for all contents, but there is no patch esp. for pvp or wvw since over a half year!We got 3 new maps and a rework in over 6 years. On Pve you got a huge amout of new content! Lets just show how it would be if you take it even: on hot you would have one new map and on pof also only one new map, no mounts, no gliders, no raids, no new maps for fractals, no story, just a new bad aktivity most players dont want and one new skin. thats how behind we are compare to pve.We have a bot problems and cheaters that needs a month to get fixed (if they want to fix). On pve they nearly killed every bot. Well what if you would have it from know on back till 5 years later.Our Trainingsground is just taken away. you need a mate that runs with you to test and try new things out, or you have to share with others the pvp lobby and hope noone is blind. On pve you got an extra trainingsarea for raids you can use alone or with the group you invite and also an intro on the first raid to understand the new mechanic! its like we had one area you have to share with thousands of people for the dungeons, cause you have no raids as a new content.You have the choise of one player to play together at your mainstream content, thats like you can choose one player to play with on each raid and all other players are completely random! Most maps are till today bugged! Now imagine all things i wrote happen to pve and on that few things you now have, you have to watch the same bugs destroying that few contents you have to play the mode you love at most.On top of that, we had once the chance to choose what we wanted more: separate solo-q from ranked or seperate team v team from ranked. No mater what, the other mode would still exist but a few egos would have the option to play allone a TEAMPLAY GAMEMODE and the other part will go near to extinction cause noone told them what the change means! On pve case that would mean players that play a gamemode wrong have the option to still play it wrong and that part that plays it how that gamemode is supost to be shrinks so hard you have only a handfull players that still play it cause of a simple missunderstanding.We are still not over, the next big misstake was to do nothing to help. We never learned how to get over so much frustration over years. So from month to month, we got more toxic, flame more, block everyone that has another opinion and kill the last remaining things. We start to forget why we loved, the game. We take away everyone that likes the same things then us and we have to stop playing the game before the mental issue we get, reaches our privat lifes.Im pretty sure i forgot somethings but these points are strong enouth to destroy your hole comunity into parts. I will also write this on the pve channel, cause i think we really need theyr support! If you are mainly home at pve and read this pls help us to get the attention we needed :) Pls help us to be better players!
  6. Hey there, PvP was fun a long time ago for me. Since then i search for alternatives, after a while i tryed myself on activities, pve and also wvw, but thats not what i wanted. PvE, wasnt difficult enough, i dont find enough players to do Activities, they also get boring after a while and WvW is just too big, also there was no place to see what you can do alone and worst of all, PvP isnt a home anymore, i dont want to be part of this toxity or this madness happening with it. I was since start part of this community and had one of the crasyest playertimes a long time ago with 9.8k played games till hot, 15.3k played games till pof and 17.671 played games till now. Like i said i searched a long time ago for an alternative otherwise my playtime would be over 20k. I tryed a lot, to fix whats happening in pvp, like giving cookies to mad players, try to motivate them and help them to get over theyr toxity, or wishing all players luck and fun at the beginning of every match, helping out at different Guilds. Later i started a new Guild "Rabbits Trainingscave", so older Players remember themselfs, that they allways will be rabbits (you know cause of the first rank you got!) and help younger mates to a fun experience, but all i tryed wasnt enough, it was too late and i also started to let my frustration on other players. Thats what i never wanted to be, i dont want to be that player that takes the fun of others! So its also time for me to say goodbye, thanks for the great time, but i have to leave and continue my search, maybe one day i´ll find a home again.
  7. thanks guys for the feedback. So the important thinks against the strategie are: 3 Leaders are hard to findyou still need zerg builds instead of other options. And cause of that you have 5 players that facetank and the other 10 try to finish => less dpsSo what could be a good way to fix the problems? Maybe having 3 leaders isnt that important. If you have one that knows how to coordinate the team it could also be enough. You want to still keep the commands as simple as possible, but that also means you need for that strategie new commands and people that understand them. But what commands do you think are needed? On the second part im just not that deep i needed to be. So i need someone else to prof this part. doesnt matter on what side you want to prof it^^. I really struggle on my own to see/ test this on practice and can only hope someone is willing to try out.And the pro points are: the smaller team could also use stealth/superspeed and stack them little better. they are also faster then a zerg.So what does it mean for the team? You will need options to stack stealth/ superspeed to have a good option to outrun zergs or at all very mobile classesWhat are good options for a 5man team? Imo i somehow allways have a Mesmer with a portal in mind on each team, but like i said im not so deep in this to stay bulletproof on that.Did i miss something?
  8. Hello,I had a sort of interresting strategie in mind, but i dont know how well it can be or if its just too difficult and im not that lucky to have mates to test it out on my own :(((((. So here the idea for a 15v15 and i dont know if its possible to use it also on bigger zergs (maybe only on open areas cause you need space!). The actuall meta is all about zerging and fight as 15 mates together, but my Idea is to splitt into 3x5 Teams.Why? Cause you can build a triangle(3x5) around the zerg, deppending on what side they want to attack the other two teams can start to burst from behind (your basically flanking the zerg all the time!)We have a dmg hit regulation to maximal 10 players, so if your group is only 5 players, you get less dmg at all (but also every group gets save more dmg so you will maybe need more defence stats!)also dodges get far better, normally you dont want to dodge if you play as a zerg esp cause this means mostly dmg loose or are just used to get a half step nearlyer, but here you need to dodge, so your team has enough time to react an punish them from the other sides.Smaller teams are mostly easyer to controll, but you also need 3 good leaders for that on the otherside, one missplay and your fighting a 10v15 esp. if your team doesnt have enough engage potential (maybe all 3 teams need a mesmer with portal^^)If the zerg plays defensively, you have 3times more tries for "hit and run bursts" That will be very stressfull for the zerg to fight against if it works (esp if you run in cycles or start mindgames with portals you open just that the next team use it/dont use it)So here the part im not sure if it will bring a new playstile or not: I dont know if you have still enough defences It will need 3 leaders instead of one in 3 channels (you dont wanna be shouted by 3 players at the same time xD)you need to be able to engage im not sure if this comb does enough dps or if they have to play burstZergs could addapt and find a way to abuse it (but the surprice is first on your side)stealth could break all thingsit could also be, that you need someone that coordinate how your team gonna burst/ start the offence ooooor just count your teams in 1,2,3 and team one bursts first the others follows at the timing you think is rightSo what do you think about it, can this work or are there too much weaknesses? If you like the idea how would you play the 3 teams? (3 times the same comb? are mesmers even needed?)
  9. the pvp community, we still have only bad players in pvp, every other pvp community is better and every other mode community is better then our pvp community.We have no good option to learn how to get better at mechanics, mentality, simply all... If you dont have the resources, then let it die in piece and close the pvp.
  10. I like how in your book, chrono is OK while ranger is UP. Lovely :D Im watching the Theorie, on that side, pets never hit outside of petswap in meele range or if your Smokescale uses Smoke Assault. Ofc most playerskills never reached the theoretical best, so my list doesnt represent what you will see on matches.Also we still have the bug that you can run inside a character sothat you interrupt single range skills, means most ranged skills works against all classes, as long they dont abuse that mechanic^^. note: it existed since beginning and was never fixxed, also like multi hits against stealthed enermies xDOn the other side, chrono has better bursts cause they are saver and im not talking about f1-5 outside of mele. I call sarcasm. why?

Ok here my list: Ele - uptempest - upWeaver - op/ok Mesmer - okchrono - okmirrage - op Necro - okreaper - okscourge - up ranger - updruid - oksoulbeast - ok thief - okdaredevil - up/opdeadeye - up/ok engie - upscrapper - ok/opholo - ok warri - upberserk - upspellbreaker - ok Guard- updh - upFB - ok/op rev - ok/opherald - ok/oprenegard - ok/op Based on playerskill, most classes can dramaticaly change to underpowered and all burst/condi builds to op against most players!On theoriecraft you have the best matchup as mirragekite is op, but most players dont use them rightbest duo-q on theory is druid+warrior cause you can hold 2 points and/or support teamfightsbest duo-q on abuse playerhabbits is double mirrage if you can play that class otherwise just play 2 burst combsworst abuseable map: Templebest abuseable map: Niflhel
  12. Yes. But you dont get the same rewards, also the playerbase is pretty low on both of them, both can be pretty competitive and i think it also helps our players to learn a little more about mechanicals, cause activities have less buttons to push, so they are more important to push right.
  13. you are wrong, that is not what powercreep means If you just say something is wrong, without a normal argue, you dont help him to understand and maybe you feed strawmans or other manipulations. Back to topic, here some basics: If you nerf the op things, you buff the rest. Nerfing is easyer cause you only need to nerf few thingsIts hard to balance if the biggest issue are the playerskills. Means you have some god tier player and the potatoe, if you balance the way both are on the same skill lvl is pretty hard, outside of lets say by running the game automatical and noone has an option to controll the match. There are mechanics that are also harder to balance cause they abuse playershabits like: Bad reaction vs Burst, bad removal management vs condis/cc, Stealthburst vs good ears and more. But we also have outside of mechanical issues on players, also mental issues like: Toxity, different understanding of mechanicals, self districtions, experienceEvery good game itself need to be a little unbalanced at all: Not everyone wants to play the good stuff but it allways will be a good stuff to play! HF on balance these players...We all need to selfreflect, like asking ourselfs what we like about the game and why or why we want that something changesGw2 just begann to balance all modes different: if we look back, every specs was good. just some where better at pvp others at pve or wvw. They just started to work a way to also balance the traitlines inside a gamemode and to be onest, thats like trying to fix the issue between a god and a potatoe. just think about every class that can play a duellist and know add all classes that are bad at it but still want to be played as one.I hope i didnt miss something, just correct me if you want.
