Plat 1 definitely possibe, Plat 2 above very very very difficult. ping matters so much when you matched up against good player.. I'm from south east asia, so I have same issue as you, I usually bounce between plat 1 - gold 3, eventually ended up in plat 1 by end of season, so yeah possible. Although, I'm playing ranger, it's the most friendly class for high ping player imo. I understand the diffculty of playing melee class like warrior, it's hard to land the chain cc.

I am around 1570-1600. Can't take on top 50. They seem to be able to dodge all my attacks but I can't always dodge theirs. But even against p2 games I do pretty decently. Most of the time I anticipate what they do. If a ranger pew pews n smoke assaults I know they will follow up with worldly impact. So I dodge after using my gs evades on my warrior. If I see Holo stealth. I will either sheild 5 or gs 3. Because he will likely Holo 5 or rifle 4. Just things like that have been keeping me holding nodes n winning 1v1s. I am on 270 ping on average. I only feel likes not playable over 300. I generally test skill canceling before I go in game. If I can cancel then I know I m good to go. Cheers to you mate! I'm SEA so we should have similar pings. My highest rating is around 1580, on those rating, playing against P2+ players, milisecond delay matters. I mostly play ranger, the most annoying part is the longbow skill not hitting target while in the close distance, and I can't skill cancel quickly enough to react to my opponent, so yeah I think that is the ceiling for player like us, maybe I can reach P2 at some point but definitely not above that..

Ranger (soulbeast) boonbeast is quite easy to play, not many combos needed to kill someone and has good sustain Sic'em ranger also good noob stomper, although it needs little practice and timing to perfectly land the full damage sic'em combos. If you do land it, it feels satisfying..

Holy molly 7 second? You would probably dead the time you finish the cast lol. Is this the longest casted skill in gw2?

Great guide man! Although for new player could be a bit much to digest, but overall you touch every subject. What I saw very often in gold-plat 1, and sometimes i did it myself is overextending to far after winning mid fight,going 2-3 people far after winning mid might and leave mid or home empty, a lot of people tend to be greedy when winning mid fight.

I have to agree, from pvp perspective i think they overnerfed the sustainability of druid, now you can’t bunker against almost any class, at least before you can win or draw against warrior or mesmer, now you just got destroyed. You can’t focus on support also, firebrand is just waaay better. Honestly i’m now confused on the role of druid, you can’t bunker, your support is limited, and your damage is just bad.. So yeah just reroll to another class..

Well that explains my laggy game in the past 2 weeks, thanks for sharing. You guys should still be grateful to have 150 ping, I live in asia, the ping right now jumps to 400ish from previously 200ish, it's unplayable really, hope anet fix this soon
