You never described the function of the Legendary Runes… again learn what function means it may help you understand things. Legendary Runes have a singular function and that is swapping between all currently available Superior Runes in the game. The function of the Legendary Runes doesn’t care what the bonuses or name of those Superior Runes are and doesn’t care about any balance changes to those runes, only that as long as there are Superior Runes in the game they can freely swap between them all freely. That’s it that is the only function… it’s no simpler than that, your lack of understanding of the word function or the functionality of Legendary Runes doesn’t make you right no matter how upset you are about the change or how much you repeat it it’s like the only functions of Legendary Armor/Weapons/Trinkets is to freely Stat Swap between all currently available stats in the game free of charge and swap out the upgrades slotted without using extractors. If they removed some of the stat combos doesn’t mean they removed the function of those items…

A player just wanting legendary items isn’t a function of the legendary item… again go learn what function means… and the only function legendary runes have is swapping between all available Superior Runes freely nothing more nothing less.

There would be unless they give each turn that may be a duplicate a different 6th bonus. and again Legendary Runes never claimed to give access to any specific number of Runes only that you would be able to have access to all currently available Runes. and they may remove runes because they may be redundant after the change. and Anet Never said they would never remove specific Runes or anything by that matter. Just because you’re losing duplicate stats doesn’t mean you’re losing value. And you even said you don’t switch so what value is there again? man’s the 6th Rune bonus is not the only part of runes, Runes a complete package consisting of 6 bonuses not just one bonus. again the topic is on the Legendary Rune losing their Function and being invalidated and nothing else again stay on topic.

It’s not an opinion it’s literally the only function of Legendary Runes… you can’t dispute that unless you’re willfully ignoring the facts. It doesn’t devalue Legendary Runes in the slightest, you keep trying to claim that without backing it up. Having full stat freedom for the runes to get the perfect stats on whatever build you want is more value than having to choose subpar stats… I’m saying this from the perspective of if they give out a legendary relic I would come out ahead if they don’t, I still come out ahead because there is zero loss of Legendary Rune functionality and on one hand I would just get free compensation whatever it may be. Just because you find no value in the proposed change doesn’t mean the Legendary Runes lose functionality, or the functionality is useless because they are far from useless.

Again what you’re saying is irrelevant to the conversation. you would still do 6/6 runes because the progressive bonuses of the runes, you act like those aren’t a thing if stats didn’t matter people wouldn’t be trying to add the perfect amount of certain stats to their builds… and with rune select everyone only ever chose from a small selection to begin with so… your fetish with scholar runes is a little funny it’s like that’s the only time you ever had selected or something. and you don’t know what Runes will be available after the patch or their cost… legendary runes still allow free selection of all available runes at any given time free of cost to include any new stat selection they may include(they’ve added quite few different stats every xpac) that normally require special materials or currency to acquire so again please stay on topic of the thread instead of trying to derail it

No it’s a fact of what the function of Legendary Runes are, no reason to try to deny the only function is to provide swapping between any available Superior Runes free of charge. Identical does not equal the same as you claim again read my comment using your logic identical twins would mean that two separate people that are identical are the same person, when clearly they are not the bonuses between Runes of trooper and relic of trooper are similar but not the same and Yes they are whining because their whole premise is losing the function of Legendary runes which they haven’t as proven multiple times they haven’t lost the legendary rune function and they keep asking for free items for that

I answered that question rune of the trooper 6th bonus is 125 toughness and condi cleanse relic of the trooper is condi cleanse only they aren’t the same bonus.. using your logic of Identical= same then identical twins would be the same person. That’s not the case they are similar but different

Bonus for matching sets you also get a bonus after the change already answered that or can’t you read again the fact there’s a special bonus or not doesn’t change the fact you’re not losing functionality on legendary runes and you won’t be able to replicate the builds after the change since as I already proved the Bonuses are different please go re read the previous answers I already answered all of your questions. again Legendary Runes only have one Function and that’s freely swapping between Superior Rune. now answer these questions are the item type known as Superior Runes Being removed? will the Superior Runes after the patch still provide 6 total bonuses? you seem so confident so answer

Again your get 6 bonuses currently, you will get 6 bonuses after change. for relics plus runes maybe to can replicate some builds but not guaranteed since the Relic bonuses are different from the Rune bonuses your Trooper example proves my point Trooper Rune 6 bonus gives 125 Toughness and the condicleanse that’s all one singular bonus Trooper Relic doesn’t give that Toughness so the Bonus is different it may be similar but it won’t be the same build. again you’re not losing any function of Legendary Runes the function stays the exact same no matter how much you hate that it is the truth. again Legendary Runes only function is being able to swap between what Superior Runes are available at any given time that function doesn’t care about the bonuses those runes are because those bonuses aren’t the Function of Legendary Runes.

Legendary Runes aren’t losing any function again the only function of Legendary Runes is swapping freely between all available Superior Runes nothing more nothing less. Them changing what bonuses Runes give doesn’t change that functionality.

There is a ton of benefit to the balance change of Runes plus not all changes are favorable changes to each individual player. So please keep to discussion at hand

You still get to switch between all available Runes just because Runes change doesn’t mean you lost the functionality of changing runes. This is no different than any other balance change. And remember you agreed to the ToS that says they can make any changes to the game they want with no compensation

You tried to conflate an analogy of two separate items and one item being taken away with one thing known as Superior Runes that isn’t being taken away. Now you have Superior Runes after the xpac you still have Superior Runes. See how that works see how it’s not two separate things and one thing being taken away? Pretty simple and you won’t be able to replicate the builds because Relic Bonuses will be different than current Bonuses
