You mean in the Anet dev post saying “At Launch: Rune Rework In the same spirit of opening more meaningful build choices, we’re excited to be streamlining the rune system with Guild Wars 2: Secrets of the Obscure. As they exist in the game today, runes have five tiers of relatively straightforward stat bonuses, and the sixth tier is a wild card that can offer additional bonuses or special effects”. sorry they used the word straightforward not basic but same meaning.
-
It is a bonus that gives additional stats that’s all, Anet said the 6th bonus gives an additional stat bonus or special bonus. Since Wurm and Exuberance give nothing except for a stat bonus for their 6th effect and nothing else, they never said it was a basic bonus like tier 1-5 bonuses since those are classified as basic bonuses not additional stat bonus or special bonus. Again reading comprehension would help some people a lot here
-
It is one special bonus, not two separate bonuses very simple to understand, they never said they are taking anything thing away, they are replacing the 6th bonus with another 6th bonus. It’s very clear in all their wording, just because you refuse to understand that doesn’t make you right… otherwise their wording would be something like “currently runes have 5 tier basic bonuses and a 6th tier additional bonus, or an additional bonus and a special bonus” but they never say that they say it’s either the additional bonus or a special bonus… just because you want something to be something else doesn’t make it so. Your failure to understand doesn’t make you right. it’s still 6/6 bonuses no matter how you cut it. also the thing about two linked build components is in reference to runes 5 tier bonuses being tied to the 6th tier bonus and that’s what they’re separating so players have more build diversity, they aren’t saying the 6th tier bonus has two things tied together, again basic reading comprehension will show you that

Do all endgame bosses have "mechanics"?
BlaqueFyre.5678 replied to Hermes.8159's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
I looked you are that person topic was “the endgame makes me want to quit (new player) and I’m not moving the goal post I asked for clarifying information, something you’re trying to avoid. You have a history of not paying attention/skipping the explanations and information the game provides to teach the game and mechanics and then complain about it not providing those things. -

Wait are you the person that complained about not being able to select equipment when using the 80 boost? Because you didn’t read the dialog from the NPC you’re forced into dialog with when you use a level 80 boost and test the different builds, weapons and skills that explains all those things? -

Let me guess you immediately used the level 80 boost without doing any content prior? Didn’t read any of the dialog or pay attention to the events or explanation leading to the “mechanics”? -

@Sobx.1758is 100% on point here. @Hermes.8159 just address their questions, and people will be able to assist. also the game does very well at explaining things if you actually read the dialog and do the stories and events leading up to them. And most fights that have mechanics explain them by either telling you about them or before the boss you see the mechanics broken up into pieces in certain instance separately leading up to the boss fights… -
Being melodramatic much? You don’t lose any functionality the functionality of legendary Runes was swapping freely between superior runes, that functionality still exist no matter how you try to mental gymnastics it. Superior/Legendary runes still have 6 bonuses, you lose zero functionality from the Legendary runes… you actually gain an overall benefit now to get to have perfect stats with whatever bonuses Relics gives. your perceived slight doesn’t mean it’s real…
-
That’s just false… last 24 hours was 4.3 in peak, and in off peak right now it’s 3.5… easily verifiable

No, there’s only 6 bonuses the 6th bonus is all packaged as one Anet even said so, there are 6 total bonuses and after there will be 6 total bonuses, there aren’t 7 bonuses on any runes you can separate out bonuses that are clearly stated by Anet in their post as one 6th bonus. those are clearly 2 different bonuses between the examples Swoo tried to use but failed, one is 25% and shocking aura and one is 25% and boons each of which falls under the 6th bonus per Anet.

The endgame makes me want to quit (new player)
BlaqueFyre.5678 replied to Hermes.8159's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
The game naturally tells you what fractals are, what raids are, what meta events are, in game mechanics that are added in each expansion area, special vendors all the endgame stuff is provided in game and you don’t have to look to YouTube guides or any text guide if people actually play the game and read the information the game clearly explains. -
Clearly you don’t understand the meaning of the word “same” those bonuses can never be the same since one provides shocking aura and one provides boons… also if you’re trying to compare them because one has a period and one has a semi colon after the 25% movement speed they both provide 25% movement speed at all times and each rune still only has 6 bonuses and guess what after the change they will still have only 6 bonuses…
-
No I never said they had more effects, again your example was a very poor example to try to back your “argument” by saying two clearly different bonuses were clearly different because they provided different effects ie one was shocking aura and the other was boons, clearly reading comprehension is lacking for some people. and Anet stated all Superior Runes provide 6 bonus again their words. someone’s lack of reading comprehension and maths skills doesn’t mean your claim of them having more than 6 bonuses is correct
-
Yeah they all perform the same function of driving, some just cost more than others. and yes 6 bonuses are 6 bonuses, but you were trying to claim that there won’t be 6 bonuses after change and that there was more than 6 bonuses prior … which there wasn’t. Even in Anet’s own words there was only 6 bonuses on Superior/Legendary Runes
