  1. Thank you this was very well written post. Personally aslong as I can understand your decisions i’m happy, even if I disagree with them. When I have certainty about your direction I can adapt to it. This experience made me very concerned that we would have old silent anet back. I am very happy that you are weathering this storm and going even further in communication by sharing design philosophy. A few ending notes that I hope will be clarified in the design philosophy post: 1.) Why is range is not valued in balance. Example: virtuoso and vindicator is comparable in team utility however virtuoso has extreme range flexibility while vindicator has none. As a baseline virtuoso is balanced to have ~4k more dps on a smallhitbox. The gap becomes far bigger in a fight when mechanics force the vindicator into range where he cant dps until it is safe. Range is an advantage that should impact dps in my opinion. 2.) My second note is in regards to support. What is your philosophy on aegis and stability. Realistically the guild wars 2 player base expects the the support roles to provide these 2 boons because they have to be played at specific times and dps players lack the knowledge to do this. The result is that heal mech or heal firebrand is mandatory. In my opinion either all supports need these boons(I do not like this from a design point but it might be necessary) or a class like tempest has to have far greater carry potential to compete with these god builds. 3.) My third note is in regards to understanding your value on utility. Quickness: firebrand, catalyst, scrapper and harbinger do about the same dps yet almost everyone plays firebrand because it has aegis, stability, giga cc, condi cleanse, two extra utility bars etc. Firebrand would need to do far less dps to make space for other quickness providers for it to be fair in my opinion. 4.) My fourth and last note. What was the design philosophy behind putting the crit trait for warrior to be in arms? I know that traitline has other crit modifiers but warrior power builds play discipline and strength for the unique modifiers. thank you for your time Ghost Api.
