  1. nono OP you got it wrong - Jade Sea meta is part of those preparations - extractors stuff is not to take on ED, but to snuff out void magic out of her - meta is about subduing her so she sits still for long enough to do it.
  2. there is a hectic crapload of audio going on in that meta tho....
  3. Personally the main thing I would like to see addressed in this fight is telegraphing of the "dps the tail" segment. The one and only run I have had at this event failed primarily because we lost too much time on not killing the tail while trying to smack the shielded dragon. I thought I was paying attention to the encounter, but most of the time I was myself very slow at switching the dps target..... On a side note: Since I attempted the event myself only once, I cannot really comment on the issue of randomness of target's attack patterns and phases. I do agree that specific attacks and phases should happen at predetermined pattern, tied either to a time or hp % of the boss (or both). EDIT: on a side note I am unsure about the decision to lock siege turtle mount behind that one.... maybe turtle should be unlocked via other means, and have meta event reward something else but also valuable?
  4. A message from another veteran player to the devs: I disagree with virtually everything previous veteran player has stated in their opening post, and I have already pre-ordered EoD. And I followed GW2 from before they were doing beta events, and remember alot of silly designs for systems that were changed before release. One funny example was character traits - did you know that at some early stage AN wanted traits to be two slots based on your current weapon selection, and then I think like third universal one? Game was never meant to be hardcore anything, if you got that impression you were not paying attention to manifesto. Yes they wanted to make sPvP (Structured Player vs Player as that's how they called it during that time :P) into a serious esports, but they also were very serious about open world (main biggest change in design between GW1 and GW2) and they were also very serious about WvW. And from the very beginning they were like "we want everyone to be able to find content for them in GW2" I am looking forward to play the expansion as soon as my PC manages to patch it, +/- some time spent on character selection screen for the main theme 😉
  5. Wherever you got it from it could have not been official, because there was no official box for PoF made - all the pics I have seen were fanmade boxes, made by people who really wanted the box on the shelf, and were disappointed that AN haven't released one.
  6. There was no boxed version for PoF already. Last box they made was Heart of Thorns.
  7. It's like this with virtually every partnered giveaway, AN has ever done to date tho. How would I know? well, because each time a thing pops up I go to the terms and conditions and look at eligible countries list - and then ignore whole thing because my country is never there. Fortunatelly for this one I bought EoD long before they announced it and I would buy EoD regardless sooo.... yeah.
  8. this is mine attempt at "Champion of Aurene" fashion, tho note it is still work in progress, and it is highly derivative from mine "druid that overdosed astral magic" fashion 😉 https://imgur.com/a/YQpJJms https://imgur.com/a/wjOUlVB bow is placeholder-ish will swap it for aurenes legendary shortbow when I get one, for shorter-term I have prismatic champion's regalia in plans, but I have felt behind schedule with that one heavilly due to simple lack of irl time 😕 There is also a plan to give her other jormags eye to the pair, and then changing helmet from glints gaze to something else, not quite sure what yet. Highly likely to never happen due to how rare the thing is..... Auras used: Celestial infusion, Jormag's Right Eye.
  9. Personally the only places I crash with DX11 beta renderer are smae places game would crash on me with dx9 anyway. It's playable, but still very much beta (as seen by variance in stability between people, and graphical artifacts dx11 rendered sometimes puts up). But once it get's out of beta, I am all up for further optimization - after all AN themselves has stated, that while they do not expect DX11 migration alone to fix the performance of the game, it will open new possibilities in optimisation 🙂
  10. it ain't about copying it's about expanding the knowledge oh what combinations are possible with what pieces 😉 (I'll toss my WIP champ in later on, she's mainly missing the amulet atm)
  11. yeah but character wears more than a helmet, gloves, amulet and weapons 😉 with either dynamic poses or mount obscuring the view on all provided screenshots, I was able to only identify the things you mentioned, and herald's shoulderpiece. Chestpiece? can't tell much, leg piece? boots? I can only guess but am not sure if this is or isn't blossoming mist shard ones. I am also 50% confident that the pic involves one more aura that you did not list, as I don't exactly find much of other options on why the head of the character looks like a head-shaped crystal ball 😉 considering the texture on arms I would be betting on stone dwarf infusion from DRMs, but I am unsure if prismatic regalia alone would be enough to make it while like that, may be some other infusion involved in the stack. And all of that would come much easier to spot, had we have a single screenshot of character just standing still with weapons holstered 😉
  12. OP you are an expert at making it as difficult as possible to actually recognise the pieces you are using xD
  13. They used similar wording when they announced strike missions for icebrood saga - remember ice construct strike mission? the story version of it? basically same deal except hopefully the "strike mission" variants will not be so laughtable like that one was.
  14. Well, OP, based on the yesterday's stream, there is nothing stopping you from doing the story even if it requires the bot, and afterwards just unslotting the power core and never seeing the thing affecting you ever again 😉
  15. Thanks for answer! Is it possible to shed light on the treshold of "value" of junk items affected by recycler module, or is it not-that-simple or not finalized value yet? Can we expect to see that information in the tooltip of the module?
  16. they said charges will only be needed for map interactions (i.e. "turrets and stuff") and charges will not persist through zoning, so not only you will have no need for charges outside of cantha (nor will you be able to bring the charges out of it)
  17. "heavilly restricted" as in one particular feature you were very interested in, and one undetermined feature that is already restricted by charge mechanic, ok. You weren't listening were you? he said explicitelly that they will work everywhere in open world for sure, but not in pvp, and instanced/wvw is on ability-per-ability basis. And then when they finished describing scavenger and recycle modules dude said that they saw no point for them to not be allowed in wvw "so these two work in wvw". (Scavenger modules are basically chance for additional loot from corpses depending on which module you slot, recycler module converts "low quality trash items" you loot into a currency/material determined by module) Workshop is only needed for changing of "loadout" of the bot. As for gliding it was at first advertised as HoT-only thing with argumentation that it may break core maps that were not designed with this in mind. Due to popular request, they went over core maps to "adjust" problematic spots.... and then took some additional months to patch out all the problematic places players found to have slipped past them 😉 EDIT: I did not hear anything indicating that personal wp feature is going to be restricted to cantha alone...
  18. While stream provided a clarity on a handfull of things (i.e. mistmatch between massivelyop and pcgamer articles on what the charges will be for, with former saying for "using abilities" and latter stated "for interacting with some enviromental stuff, like turrets and so" - latter one seems correct based on the stream) it still leaves me with a handfull of questions. 1. How "persistent" are personal jade waypoints when not used up? if I drop it, will it disappear when I leave the map? region? log character out? close the game? 2. What is the value treshold for "low value trash items", that are affected by the recyling module? (is it 1 silver 10 silver? 50 silver?) Those are the most important ones I can recall from the top of my head. Also I would like to go on a record, that guild hall decorations for: bot control console, bot customization table, those anchor bits for the bot elevator, batteries if the elevator is one of interactables using up the charges 🙂 how so? from what they said on stream the only feature you loose out on outside of cantha is map-specific interactions "like turrets and such" which are powered by the jade charges. all the mastery abilities, and module stuff works exactly same in cantha and outside of cantha. EDIT: And even then they are not barred completely - some abilities works in those areas on per ability basis - in particular they provided example of scavenging/recycling modules working in wvw as well.
  19. The nature of the flames in here would not be the amount of damage they do, but sheer amount of hits a well placed one can score on a moving blob, and by this how many "every 5th hit" procs it can proc within a time interval. Does it mean it willbender will be perfectly fine in zergs? (I've heard some voices claiming it was OP in zergs during first beta, not sure how valid those are) can't say. but due to how core mechanics of willbender scale, zergs would be last on the list of my worries about where it can and cannot perform.
  20. Thank you for proving once again that you know nothing about how computer programs work. There is a huge technical difference between "there is a waypoint here that I can activate, otherwise it stays disabled" and "I can drop a waypoint, anywhere I like". You can deny it all you want, but you won't change that fact.
  21. Well frankly, I would say that due to the nature of flames, and the "per hit" virtues I could see willbender having a potential in melee train zergs. Like to be fair zergs are last place I would be worried about for willbenders, since their whole design benefits greatly from target rich environment that zerg clashes are. It's small scale/roaming where I would be worried (as far as WvW at least goes)
  22. Personally I see a quite a sizeable difference in graphics quality between the renderers - and I had side by side comparision as I was testing if one glitch was overal glitch of dx11 glitch so I disabled dx11 and rebooted the game and everything went so blurry..... FPS on both renderers seems roughtly similar.
  23. Personally I find them - at least as far as coverage so far went - actually more than I anticipated "jade tech" mastery to be. Looking forward to the guild chat to see whole scope of how they work 🙂 PS. OP not sure if you have seen the news media coverage on the subject, byt massively op and some others have made articles on it, and it would seem that scope of what bots can do will be much larger than just stamina refill for mounts, global lick wounds for downed state and updrafts-on-demand.
  24. To be perfectly fair, old kaineng was not all that far off from Coruscant as far as my completely fallible human perspective goes 😉 I can understand dislike towards magi-tech we got from asuras and now we get it in additional quantities from Cantha, and I can totally relate to dislike of inquest presence in places like fahranur, gandara, etc.
  25. bruh, emergency waypoints in WvW are NOTHING like the functionality of waypoint deploying via Jade bot. Emergency waypoint in wvw is static position conditionaly enabled waypoint, visible to everyone in relevant team. And you are trying to sell in here that it is same, as marking any point in map for a waypoint only you can see? (at least implied to be only seen and usable by you by a mention of "personal" in the blogpost). It is not nitpicking at "technically" different functionality, those two things ARE DEFINITIVELY different functionalities that requires separate code to work. Claiming it to be same only shows how little you know.
