  1. 1 - NA 2 - Seven Pines 3 - Skrittsburg 4 - variable, I have a couple alt accounts so I'll play where ever I can get content on whichever days life allows, usually 3-5 days a week (1-2 on the weekend and 1-3 during the week). I chose one account specifically to answer the questions for, based on its results. 5 - felt the same but we are frequently stuck in overpopulated server+links and our WR experience matches this, even putting most of our regular NA heavy guilds on the same world for the 2nd part of the beta. Multiple times we had every map queued well past prime time for both parts. 6 - yes 7 - yes 8 - no idea I rarely look for other tags & almost exclusively play with my guilds on NA these days. 9 - none, they all felt the same for me this time. 10 - process for getting people onto the right servers was really great to see. 11 - the explanation of how to select teams and the UI for doing so needs to be better executed so there's less player error in selecting the correct teams.
  2. In addition to what Chaba said - If you're feeling harassed just right click their name - > select "report" -> from the dropdown menu, choose Verbal Abuse -> click the "Report Player" button in the lower right corner of the reporting interface. Don't respond to them otherwise, no reason to spend your game time justifying your enjoyment of it to someone else who's not entitled to that explanation anyway.
  3. Siege used to go where ever your camera was angled, including into outer space. Point up and throw and it'd go flying into the stratosphere and beyond, presumably. No idea where it landed but it was a fun time to toss siege to the stars when there was nothing else to do.
  4. I think it's pretty bad to change 2 gyros and not all of them. Either change them all or keep them all as is until you figure out what you want to do. Please don't implement inconsistent design, even if only temporary. A gyro should function the same regardless of what type of gyro it is - either make them all wells or keep them all moving aoe's, please for the love of good design don't do this half and half nonsense.
  5. There's some USB foot pedals on Amazon that are $10 and under, of course if you're going for a few you'd need the available USB ports on the computer or a USB hub. But yeah, you don't need to buy a fancy racing set of foot pedals at all, there are lots of cheaper options out there and most of them are easy to use and very plug and play. 🙂
  6. Foot pedals and larger button controllers are pretty common for hand mobility issues. There are tons of adaptive controllers out there these days but the Microsoft one is nearly plug and play and gives so many options for connecting adaptive devices it's easily my favorite. If you're finding it harder to use a keyboard for inputs for prolonged d periods of time it may help to move to a more accommodating control setup and save the keyboard for typing when you need to.
  7. Seems there's an area of the map where the dogs seem to get stuck and can't be pet. In four separate instances with 4 separate dogs & groups of dogs the ones in the area in front of Kaya the Consortium Officer vendor were not able to be pet. Two examples below. Single dog stuck in spot and can't be interacted with. Two dogs stuck and can't be interacted with.
  8. My main takeaway from your posts here is that you aren't having fun in WvW. The game mode is not for everyone, and if you aren't having fun then I'd highly recommend trying a different mode where you do. I don't mean that in a demeaning or demoralizing manner, PvP is not something everyone enjoys and certainly not in a format like WvW where it's a constant 2v1 on 4 maps and sometimes you're a part of the 2 and sometimes you're the 1. It's not meant to be an even or fair fight. The only upside to this is it also doesn't matter if you win or lose - there's little tangible reward. Things that could help improve your enjoyment of WvW - join a WvW focused guild that has a large & active group during your prime playing time. If your server doesn't have one consider transferring to a server that does. This doesn't interfere with PvE in any respect, servers only matter for WvW. Your comment on people who achieve titles - I'm not sure how to take that. I've never actively sought out a WvW title like Yakslapper but after 10 years and thousands of hours in WvW I certainly do have it. Really though, if you're intent on learning WvW (the meta builds and classes are quite different than PvE and it's not a player vs. environment setting, it's very much about player vs. player with the environment providing interesting and different ways to fight), do seek out a WvW guild with a large & active player base in your prime playing time. It will change the way you see & experience the game mode -- if you are open to it, of course.
  9. Started happening yesterday and has happened a few times now. All game audio cuts out suddenly, last time was mid npc dialogue during the guild hall claim where the three ladies are chatting. Halfway through their dialogue all game audio disappeared. It doesn't miraculously come back either, I have to reboot the client. It is only the game audio that disappears - no other audio on my pc is affected. No audio inputs or outputs or volume levels change in any setting anywhere. The game just goes silent and stays that way until its closed and relaunched.
  10. Hasn't worked for me for days now. Not a single sliver. Kind of frustrating, Anet, slivers help progress all kinds of crafting and this is literally blocking that to being virtually non-existent for anyone that doesn't want to (or can't) spend thousands of gold on the trading post.
  11. Your account name looks like a CD key, which is pretty strange.
  12. The minis are cute and all, if a little awkward on the back legs ... however whenever I use one it just howls endlessly. Like, it'll howl and then about 2 seconds after it's finished it'll howl again. And it does this, forever, nonstop. As an owner of Shiba's I am fairly positive this is a bug. Mine almost never howl, even when I want them to, and certainly not non stop 24/7/365. It's honestly so annoying I actually hate using the mini, which is sad and unfortunate because they're easily my favorites. This must be a bug, right?!
  13. Not all type of movement on screen triggers motion sickness, and it's certainly different for everyone who experiences it. Character creation screen is less bright, more monotone, and considerably less perceptible. A better comparison, for me, would be underwater combat where the camera angles are terrible, the field of view inconsistent, and the movement and tracking of objects less predictable for the eye (underwater combat tends to trigger motion sickness for me). There are lots of small places in the game that it happens, usually adjusting a camera angle can avert or avoid it, but that isn't an option on the character select screen.
  14. Anet I hope you see this thread. I came looking to ask about this, too. Glad I searched before starting a new one. We desperately need a toggle button to disable the parallax on the login screen. Nearly puking every time I log in or swap characters is not a good experience, and it's one that you shouldn't have implemented without letting the player manage the setting client side.
  15. Yeah, there is definitely a bug - I didn't experience it (my audio cut out during one scene and I remembered to flip my slider over - no more issues for me), but my partner did on their play through & they had already made sure their audio was enabled to highest quality.
  16. On the audio settings tab there's a slider for audio quality - "Fastest" being one extreme and "Highest Quality" being the other. This does affect dialogue, and if it's all the way on "fastest" you'll miss pieces all over the place, including cut scenes and quest dialogue. I don't know if that's intentional or oversight but if you want to always hear all the quest and cut scene dialogue that slider has to be all the way over to "highest quality". Personally I think it's a design oversight for the slider to cut out quest and cutscene dialogue but if the systems don't allow for them to be separated or controlled by their own setting then it is what it is.
  17. Thought food items were only supposed to be salvageable with the composter .. I'm going to guess it's a bug?
  18. Yes, I have. I've seen plenty of devs playing WvW, in groups big and small, in comped small teams, solo roaming, even in GvG's. Playing since launch across different styles and servers provides plenty of opportunity. Whining and throwing a tantrum on the forums isn't really inviting devs to come play with you, exactly, but you do you man. You do you. Keep making generalized statements about a small segment of the playerbase and pretending it applies to everyone ever in WvW. Clearly this is working so well for you. No. Before any class couldn't threaten a roamer. Before the power coefficients were so much lower people thought big crits were 1k and the epitome of skill in GvG and open field was Rekz kitten around with a bit of co-ordination and (for the most part) pressing one while sometimes blasting a water field. This was, in the before times, the pinnacle of competitive WvW. And, I mean, if you doubt it you can always go watch their old footage on YouTube. You can also watch Trillmatic, or Yarr, or KoM, or any number of other small comped 5 or less groups or even slightly larger ones like EK, Agg, etc., from the same era obliterate groups 2x their size or a map queue by knowing what their skills do, by understanding combo fields, trait synergy, and just generally being a smarter player than the average person hopping in to WvW. And, for the most part, this hasn't changed. A skilled player or group will still outperform a lesser skilled one. As they should. Metabattle only provides builds and a bit of instruction, and some meta builds are definitely overtuned with a lot of passive benefits that don't require much skill to maximize, but a skilled player will still always outperform their unskilled peers. And I don't know if we're playing the same game here, but there's still plenty of overpowered bursty dps builds, but unlike in the before times there's now much more survivability available via increased armor stat sets and passive trait buffs. There's no lack of outgoing damage, unless your group lacks boon rips of course, in which case you're just shooting yourself in the foot and crying about it. 😄 There's still plenty of devs out in WvW. Their ANET tag is like a Guild, you know, they can turn it on and off whenever they want.
  19. That's not how boon rip works on CC. It removes a stack of stability for every CC that hits them - being hit while having stability means they lose a stack of stability - assuming the stability isn't straight corrupted before then (which would be the smart way to play and co-ordinate). Temporal curtain = 3 boons or stacks removed x5 (15 boon rips), F3 = 5 boons or stacks removed x5 (25 boon rips), Tides of Time = infinite boons or stacks removed because it doesn't have a target cap. I have literally seen this proc over 200 boon rips alone on one cast, now CT split it with a grav well & hit them both twice. One Mesmer is brilliant, add them in with other sources of boon rip and the game becomes considerably less of a challenge in that regard. It is so very easy to damage and kill in the current meta, to the point that damage over all really needs a nerf. It's not exciting when fights end in seconds. Another fix that needs to ship is an ICD on the Sigil of Absorption so it can't proc infinitely without interruption. You have to understand that your experience of this game is your own, and while you may not be good at doing something that doesn't mean it can't be done, either poorly or very well. Boon rip is so silly easy that even poorly used it's very effective. Used well in skilled players hands it's how you wipe a map queue in under 10 seconds flat. And I don't count myself among the most skilled. I'm above average, we spank casuals and semi competitive Guilds of similar and often twice our size but we get spanked by the top GvG'ers. Now if we can wipe a map queue in under 10 seconds flat with a pair of Mesmers and a couple of Scourges how absolutely stupid do you think boon rip is in the hands of our most competitive and skilled players? What. No. Nothing is hard to kill, unless they are more skilled and then naturally they should be harder to kill. Mechanics and game wise, every class is not supposed to be able to beat every other class toe to toe in a 1 v. 1. That isn't balance, if it was we'd all essentially be playing the same things and would have nothing special to bring to the table. I don't get this comment. Do you want devs to understand the game they work on from a players standpoint or do you only want them to understand it from a programmatical standpoint? Big hint, one of these is great and one of them is bad.
  20. Why? Every spec isn't supposed to be able to do everything & there's already 3 specs at least with incredibly strong boon rip.
  21. Follow the trail of buffs and nerfs from launch to now. Everything exists as a response to something, in an attempt to create a balance of gameplay. Boon application exists to counter power creep, along with healing specs, damage negation, and barrier. Boon rip exists to counter boon application & create opportunities for CC and dps to succeed. If this were a boon ball meta, you would be able to stack all the boons and boon reapplication and succeed. Which is not how it works - if you don't have boon rip you won't succeed at anything except dying slightly more slowly.
  22. Roaming isn't dead. I'm not sure what you're doing wrong to come to this conclusion but it's very much alive and well on NA. Thief / Ranger both have great utility in comped groups - again, I'm not sure what you're doing wrong to not know this, maybe join a guild that understands the meta and knows how to play within or around it creatively. If you're pugging you get what you get, the solution there is to not pug. If you need proof of this do some very easy research in to what the top guilds are running open field, or maybe just go to meta battle and note both classes are present in the "Great" category, and understand this means plenty of groups are using them both open field an in GvG's. Lack of new players & low participation is the only point you've got that I'll agree with, but it has nothing to do with the meta. There's no new player experience to entice people in to WvW, only the occasional "Call of the Mists" bonus or a curious person clicking the icon in the upper left. The barrier to entry is high, the vast majority of people using map or team chat are prone to being judgy and rude trolls & tend toward unhelpfulness and criticism rather than welcoming unskilled people in to teach them. In RE: your commentary on the stale and boring boon ball meta, a couple of notes. This isn't a boon ball meta, it's a boon rip meta. Sigil of Absorption + chrono shield 5 = no target cap stun proccing a sigil that steals 3 boons per target on interrupt -- with no internal cooldown. You can literally boon rip a map queue with 1 skill, twice if you continuum split it. And that's one skill on one class that can heavily trait for boon rip well beyond this single skill + sigil combination. I feel like you're just on the cusp of understanding the meta, in so much as you realize boons are involved somehow, but you've got it completely backwards in believing the meta is about boon ball rather than boon ripping. Boon application is what it is because of power creep - reducing boon application and boon ripping wouldn't account for the power creep they're attempting to substitute as a form of balance for. If you want to reduce boon spam & boon rip that's great but it has to happen in conjunction with other changes to outgoing damage and healing.
  23. There's 2 issues I've experienced buying gems. One was a something went wrong error and I had to enable javascript in that browser. The other something went wrong was being blocked by Anet because I'd already bought gems recently. As Zildjian mentioned above, you'd have to file a support ticket and ask them to remove the block. There's different types of removal, too, so if it only works once and then blocks again make a pointed request to Anet to completely remove the restriction not just temporarily.
  24. The only posts you should go read are Anet's posts explaining the point and purposes of both World Restructuring and Alliances so you aren't making a bunch of false statements and claims. That's on you, no one can understand it for you, and it's no one's responsibility but your own to educate you. Trying to insult me doesn't help your argument or rebut anything I said, not sure why you'd bother with that unless you're trying to make yourself look bad.
