I'm missing the gems (which is understandable), but also the boost and inventory slot, and the extra character slot seems to be unusable. Little annoying, but I figure things on the back end are under an unusual amount of pressure.

I had the same trouble. Deleted a few quest and Anet related mails and the quest suddenly moved from 'check your mail' to 'Investigate Fort Salma again'. Baffling, but it worked.

Where? I've spoken to everyone in the Eye with the star-merchant marker, bought stuff with both the inventory crystals and defense tokens, and that counter hasn't gone up one jot.

The last couple batches of meta achievements have been utter garbage. Give me thirty achievements, have me do twenty for 'completion'. Don't give me a bloody Sophie's Choice between equally bad 'achievements', or make the assumption that anyone likes your content enough to do a Strike Mission upwards of twenty times. I still haven't finished a couple of the Elonian metas, and I doubt I'll bother with the ones after the Charr homelands.

Skipping the whole thing.

Damage spongy enemies, and bosses so dull I actually played dead through the third mission and went off to do something else. I'm going to have to do the third one over, because I apparently took a perfectly logical shortcut to Ascalon Settlement and missed the mastery point. Le whee. Somehow they made something even more boring than the original strike missions. There is one thing though: the writing was obnoxious enough that I've developed the same detestation for the NPCs that all of my guildmates have.

No, I assure you, I still have zero interest in faffing around with strikes.

Began the first challenge. No idea how Aurene was supposed to be absorbing volatile magic, but strongly suspect that bit of script wasn't firing properly.
