LOL. This has to be a joke. Go out into WvW...neato! Small groups of people are DUELING in a Open map SIEGE world. Its soooo good hardly anyone plays!!! But its great!

But its NOT fun. Thats what hes basically stating. Its all about FOTM till the next 6 month patch hits. Face rolling "CERTAIN CLASSES" AOE/knock-down/snare/cant-move/bunker BS and somehow this is supposed to be fun??? Sorry the guys on point. Its just once again Anets lack of ANY type of PvP management/balance. It blows my mind how they cant figure out that "non-stop cant control my character and rings of non-stop toxic aoe death all over the place" is somehow "skill" or fun. Its pathetic. You have a great game and a REAL chance to pick up WoW pvp players. Never seen a company botch something OVER and OVER again and STILL not trying something "new".

its NOT the game. Its a setting you have in your 'comptuer audio' settings whatever brand you are using. I had this issue on my laptop and it was the surround settings in the audio realtek advanced. You need to turn off the enhancements or you will get the craziness where its missing voices unless you face them etc...

Wont give them another dime. Purchased this so called "NEW EXPANSION' for the "upcoming Pvp and WvW!". Haven't even logged in since this expansion was released. Straight lied. i'm out.

Well I got took. I bought into the "PVP HYPE TRAIN FOR EOD!!!". Purchased the collectors EOD. Look at release notes, Never even installed. Thats the last dollar they get from me ever. I'm done with these companies false hype just to get more sales. Purchased a stupid expansion of garbage PVE and wont even touch it.

On ONE character. NOT new characters.

Hey NEATO! What's that, want to RANK PVP??? Well folks, all you do is get out of the starter area, (5 minutes) then ding ding ding!!! Now you too can QUE FOR RANKED PVP! Yup, its just that easy. Been like this for years but good ole Anet just wont put a simple LOCK on this. Wouldn't solve everything but sure would FIX this stupid garbage of lvl 1=80s farming/botting. Ridiculous.

Game is growing...not sure what this poster is trying to start. I see more and more returning players such as myself, and its just fun. NOT happy with the lack of PVP content/updates. They have dead WvW maps which could sooooo easily be updated and would bring over even more players. But overall the game is fun/engaging/good. good time to be playing.

I agree with the above but not the rest of these posts. The downstate in it's current form is NOT pvp. It's a broken cheese mechanic that is abused aka jumping off cliffs to rezz etc. Takes MORE time banging on someone laying there. That's not pvp..it's annoying. Then again sounds like the playerbase in gw2 IS all pvers at heart. I guess I see why it is what it is....

Why do we even have these down-states? The maps are bumping right now and this pvp feels waaaayyy more visceral getting a "kill shot" vs the "sponge" lay there and keep taking hits downstate. Why are they even a thing? I guess if the PVE content needs/requires it...great. But having them in PvP just sucks compared to this current event! Please just remove them, the PvP feels fresh and exciting!

I mean incentive. Look, You have 3 maps around the eternal war map. Those 3 maps are just lifeless. Nobody cares, its just standing on points and watching them flip. Why not revamp and place epic mobs out there, dungeon caverns that go deep and the lower you go the more massive the mobs become with drops/items etc. Have these area's contested because if you dangle the carrot there, people WILL show up which will cause fights/reason. Right now, its flip a node standing around and go in circles..boring mobs, boring camps..just boring. This game has so much potential and it will NOT affect pve'rs in the slightest. The pvp end-game here is just NON-EXISTANT.

I come back to this game year after year...same old problem. The END game pvp is just TERRIBLE. Its not the classes/skills/mobs...its the POINTLESSNESS of it. Are they going to do ANYTHING to address this? I mean, all they would have to do is introduce a PVE/PVE centralized dungeon in the maps to farm world bosses/epic mobs..and cause CONFLICT. Shoot, even a dungeon or map could open up for the "side" that has the most keeps held...just SOMETHING besides this ill thought out point flipping mob scarcity boredom world. I was all excited about the expansion, purchased and bought into the hype...now once again just seems same old same old. Too bad, great combat/skills buts TERRIBLE end game pvp.

NO, those things just turn a game into mid/max and its terrible in EVERY game. WoW a prime example.

Look, the game is turning out GREAT...but you HAVE to let these guys change the Mech COLOR! All I see are these big GREEN glowing mechs bouncing around... Please, give them an option to somehow change the "color" or glow..even if its just like a set 5 colors....otherwise this just looks so over the top generic! thank you, and great job so far. 🙂

turn off your overclocking. alt f4 crash is hardware related.

If that is NOT your issue, and you have downloaded GPU-Z while running it in the background to make SURE the core is going up....then your power supply. Do you have the UPGRADED power supply for your laptop or were u given one of them "mini" sized ones. I've seen that before as well where the power supply provided was NOT adequate and they did this to save company money. aka 45w vs 65w, vs 80w. good luck hope you figure it out. (still think though if you download the gpuz- and watch it in the background..your gpu is not being used)

I'd be willing to bet money you are NOT using the geforce 1050 and your card is defaulting to "internal" intel graphics. You need to make sure you are FORCING the geforce card to run by going into nvidia control panel and selecting the Gw2 exe file, and selecting the GPU. That laptop will easily push the game on med at 60+ fps. Good luck you "may" try going to the laptop drivers for that vendor, and using the SUPPLIED graphics card drivers for it...I know they will be dated but if you are unable to figure out how to force the card 1050 to run..thats your only option." Sometimes the laptop vendors have funky locks /issues with driver codes to where you cannot use the newest nvidia drivers without it getting confused. At least this will let you play.

Its a TERRIBLE TERRIBLE class...PERIOD. I quit this game years ago decided to come back. Thief STILL BORING, no dmg, total chore to use; was just like man this game still sucks. So somehow I finally just said screw it i'll roll a new class. Went guardian. NOT EVEN A COMPARISON. I can WvW, I can PVE, I can PvP...the game is actually fun. The thief class is BROKEN, NO DMG, and just POINTLESS in WvW unless you want to "scout" and run..and why the hell do that when you can just kill. Reroll, trust me, you will NEVER go back. P.S. Good Job Anet, you got me to blow $100.00 bucks for the new class. (although I should NOT have had to do this)

What scares me is if I go spend all this money redo this as my main .. and they pull a black desert online. They do this and it forces everyone to reroll to flavor of the month. Makes them a ton of cash but I don't have the time to run thru this ... I just want a main.

Lol hogwash. Plz don't kid yourself. I was here with the unlimited stealth spam the #2 button power spam. It's NOT some high tier class. It's broken and if u think working 2x as hard for the same results then have at it. Games for issues and the more I play it the more I'm seeing this balancing act.

I don't like "running" or capping all day. I fight. And powerful....not even close. Did you even read my post? The dots alone on this guardian blow away my max con spec thief...its a travesty. Class should be called "coward" and then let people know what they are getting into. As for the rest of the comments thanks guys for the understanding, I've now realized I was correct in my assessment.

So my friends and I started this game day of release many years ago. We played it for awhile, and eventually quit and went back to WoW. Came back for the expansions and again, played for awhile and quit. So here I am back again...and after all these years decided to actually try a "different" class than my thief. I've spent a ton of money, bags, world map achievements etc..but something just kept telling me to re-roll a fresh 80. So low and behold, I buy all NEW bag slots, item slots, redo map achievements etc....NOT cool but fine OK. (this stuff should carry over seriously) Roll a guardian...R U KIDDING MEEEE!!!!??? I go into PVE, i'm a god, I go into PvP, i'm a god. What kind of crap is this??? I am literally smashing my face on my keyboard and just blowing stuff up left and right with burn damage all over and healing like a tornado...Is the thief class broken? Is this some kinda fluke/joke??? This cant be right. Why did I spend sooo much time/money on a busted class. I'm being honest, I'm only ranked gold on my thief but this isn't right/fair. I no longer think "necros/eng/guards/mes" are good players...I think I was playing with a handicap...and if this is "balance" I have NO idea what Anet has been doing all these years with this game. Just my thoughts/2 cents but this balancing is insane. I should have rolled a guardian years ago.

While I appreciate and admire the time you put into this, I'm gonna say please no. I'm a thief/rogue. I do not want "big" swords, "magic", castable spells and effects. IMO we should be the closest thing to a "warrior" in this game when it comes to "clean/pure" weaponry builds. This "hybrid" you've created sounds more like something that's a mix between a whole new class/Mesmer. Like the heart, but not the placement of classes.
