I was getting that when I tried to use Paypal. Just paid with my credit card and it worked. I wonder if maybe Paypal was having an issue, or saw a LOT of purchases from Anet much higher than normal and decided to lock it?

They should make an unannounced patch and change dragon banner into a duplicate of Centaur banner but keep the Dragon banner tool tips...just for the LuLz

It's not terrible. I'd grade it as what, in an earlier century, we used to call a "gentleman's C". i.e. average quality in a weak field. MMO story telling is difficult to do and never seems to compare with single player story telling let alone books or movies.

The problem I see is it's a 1 in 4 chance on crit every 20 seconds. so first you have to crit, then you roll the dice and 75% of the time get nothing

That is because cloves have always been weird with how they handle getting multiple items from a single gather. Pretty much every other gather result will give you 1 stack of 1-N items. Cloves on the other hand always gives you 1-N stacks of 1 item each instead. A glyph of bounty is nice but glyph of crucible and glyph of alchemy are also good for these. yep I haven't opened content for Kourna or Sandswept isles. Since doing PoF shortly after it came out I've mostly been in WvW except for a few PvE dailies and PvE guild missions

yep. I have like 3 stacks of varietal cloves in the bank. as opposed to the others which are all in the 30-50 range...but it may be I use the others up faster than the cloves or that Mount Maelstrom is just an easier place to gather + the multiple per strike thing.

Herb nodes are pretty scattered and the varietal versions seems even more that way. So hunting around the core Tyria area thus far I've found the following: Varietal Peppercorn - Diessa Plateau, EotM (N.B. after nearly 2 months and lots of hours spent scouting on my thief/cook no drops at the synthesizers in regular WvW)Varietal Mint - Fireheart Rise, Iron Marches, rarely in Bloodtide Coast south edgeVarietal Clove - Mount Maelstrom-more than you will likely need. up until last year I was using an nVidia 660Ti with an Intel Core i5 6600 and it was "fine" in most cases with things turned down a bit and at the resolution my old monitor had (1600x 1060). gave the card to a friend. Currently using same processor with an nVidia GTX 1080 and a newer 1080P monitor and things are much much better.

The meta event in Field of Ruins is sad making. You basically burn an orge village to the ground to draw out their old retired warrior and his pet then kill them and continue onward to wipe out their entire culture and probably their race.
