  1. l was in the queue for 45 minutes. The "you can travel" window with the timer didn't appear, but I coincidentally opened the WvW window and saw the new "Travel" button. (Neat!) The moment I clicked on it though, it behaved as if I had not been in the queue at all and asked if I want to join the queue. So I was at the end of the queue again. 😞 From someone else I've heard that they had the travel window appear, but got thrown to the end of the queue as well.
  2. Are there any? I'm not serious about PvP (gold 2/3), I just want to have some fun. But it's not fun at all when your team is all over the place, constantly fighting and losing 1v2 battles far away from nodes. I just wanna play with chill people with a *basic* sense for the game mode who won't flame me for not being a 1337 haxx0r at the game mode.
  3. I was using those locations, but there were VERY few sharks. However, today after killing just two sharks, the bloodstone crazed one appeared. No idea why it hadn't worked the last time where I had killed 4 or 5. I thought I need to kill many more.
  4. Whenever I go to Bloodtide Coast, it's already dead according to Levvi's Device. And in Frostgorge Sound and Mount Maelstrom, it doesn't want to spawn. I've read that you have to kill regular sharks to make it spawn, but I can barely find any regular sharks in the areas. What am I doing wrong?
  5. I was one of those hoping for playable Tengu too but no point complaining about it now, it's not like they'll be like "oh mkay let's add them in the next patch then" 😄 Just gotta enjoy the things we did get with the xpac.
  6. Thanks for the tips, apparently it was Firefox's built-in "Enhanced Tracking Protection" which you can disable by clicking on the shield on the left end of the address bar. EDIT: To clarify, neither Private mode nor Ad Block Plus were related. (Opening it in a normal tab with ABP disabled doesn't solve the issue.)
  7. I had assumed this to be a temporary issue but after weeks it still looks like this. Otherwise I would have long pre-ordered End of Dragons already. https://i.imgur.com/UTno93l.png https://i.imgur.com/JtqMMTy.png EDIT: The purchase seems to work well in-game, which is probably why nobody here seems to complain LOL. Still, you're probably missing out on some purchases from first-time players who become interested due to the new expansion.
  8. Ugh, you're right. I could have sworn I've looked everywhere. Thanks!
  9. I haven't played for two months or so. Now there doesn't seem to be a way to buy the DMC 2. As such, I can't progress the mastery track. Unless I'm missing something, this is a major bug. EDIT: Solved:
  10. Oh man, I thought this was related to the new episode or something, didn't realize it was an old video. xDThere were Tengu in the trailer... Gotta play it soon and check out if there's any Tengu-related news.
  11. If you were playing on a MacBook of some kind, you could possibly buy a second-hand ThinkPad T530 or so for a couple hundred bucks. Even second-hand ThinkPads usually last many years. Won't give you the greatest graphics but if you were already playing on a type of laptop then you can probably endure that. If you bought an expensive Mac of some sort and aren't so rich that you can just buy a good PC, then that's a pretty sad situation. I guess you could try to dual-boot Windows but not sure if GW2 works well (or at all) on MS Windows running on Apple hardware? This is typical Apple though: "we do our own cool thing and don't give a crap about compatibility." If I ended up in a situation like this I'd reconsider once more whether I want to support a company like Apple.
  12. Easy solution: player must have been on that server for a while, or recently transferred together with their guild.
  13. To respond to OP: yes there are good guilds. Well, at least one. The one I'm in, obviously. Jokes aside, while I have no idea about our skill level (I'm guessing average), the people are super nice. The guy who leads most often is extremely chill, average age of members is probably about 25, and membership is about half-half female/male including commanders, which IMO is a sign of a very healthy community. The only obligations you have to the guild is to represent it and to use a zerg-useful build during raids, and the rules on that aren't super strict i.e. no one's gonna say "no you have to use this exact build" as long as your build is in some way raid oriented. It's a German/EU guild though.
  14. showed up in her town and did what to her? lol I'm asking myself the same. WHAT DID HE DO??? Maybe we shouldn't ask.
  15. Well an expansion has to bring... expansion-level new content. HoT brought us a whole new class, elites, and gliding, PoF brought us several mounts and more elites, what big thing will EoD bring? A new race might certainly be that big new thing, though hopefully not the only.
  16. The last two episodes will get their VA when this "chapter" goes live on the 17th Oh WTF, I didn't even notice there was another episode I haven't played yet. xD Great to hear they're getting their voice acting finally.
  17. Did I miss something or does the last chapter still not have voice acting? Because I'm still waiting for that before I do it, haven't stepped a foot in Drizzlewood. Totally agree. I only started playing like 3 years ago and those toxic krait thingy things which were apparently part of LWS1 were just... confusing. Imagine you're a new player now and not only have those, but also the Awakened invasions, and now a third kind? Ehh...
  18. Only time I ever used one, from what I remember, was during the fight against Mordremoth's mind in the last part of the HoT story. There was a mechanic to the fight that I didn't manage to figure out right away and died many, many times until I did.
  19. I'm personally still waiting for the voice acting to land for the last Icebrood Saga episode. Still didn't even visit that map.
  20. Err, yes, that's one of the things a thief is SUPPOSED to do in PvP, as they fill in the "roamer" role. A roamer (like thief) has very high mobility, which means they can quickly run to enemy point, decap it, and return to fight. This way, the enemy team misses out on points they would otherwise be getting during the fight. This also forces the enemy team to have someone go there to recapture the point, which takes more time than to decap it (have to stand on it longer). Of course, the roamer should time this action well, because if she/he does it right before someone from the enemy team respawns and can run to their home node anyway, then the roamer just wasted time. Or maybe without their help their team will get wiped out, which would also be terrible... On the other hand, if you anticipate that whoever from the enemy team is about to respawn would lose against you (the roamer) in a 1v1 duel, then you can both decap the point and kill the respawning enemy while you're close to their home, which is two stones with one bird, although you have to weight that option against going back faster to help your team... I'm new to PvP but these are principles you can read about in any basic PvP guide. The question of where each player should run at any given point in the match is called "rotation" and it's one of the most important things to win. Decapping enemy nodes is a standard part of a roamer's rotation.
  21. Meh, didn't seriously use traps, and don't use preparations, so I have no hard opinion, although I did very much enjoy running a condi trap meme build for a while. Did some ridiculous poison and bleeding damage but mostly didn't work well on players, just NPCs.
