  1. When your argument relies, in part at least, on the point that there is content that awards MC but that people choose not to do it, you have disproven your entire position.
  2. the majority of people on this forum say the same for mounts before their arrivalJust because it was bad on other games doesn't mean it will be bad on gw2. Perhaps, but then there are people who found mounts to be a bad thing in GW2. The very things that some spoke about as being bad regarding mounts before they were implemented here came to pass as predicted.
  3. I agree with the sentiment but the hyperbole undermines it.
  4. I like the idea, but the tendency to interpret increased mob health as increased difficulty would concern me as well.
  5. Agreed. The visual noise in this game makes large scale fights, such as bosses, a chore.
  6. I find the open world content in this game to be mind-numbingly bland. Almost a complete lack of challenge. I prefer playing with others in general, just not here. Working as a group to overcome challenges greater than any one of us is fun. Having multiple people semi-afk auto-attack a foe down with almost no chance of failure is not more fun than doing so alone. Without challenges to overcome as a group (and I admit that there are a few) then playing as a group is meaningless. If all one wants is to socialize the game is not needed.
  7. You do realize that you are asking for prices to be actually fixed while complaining about fictional price fixing right?
  8. I detest the movement based masteries that make me feel like I am playing a mario game rather than an MMO, so hopefully not more of those.
  9. Depends on how the difficulty is achieved. Groups of mobs with tons of chained hard CC and extra health is not particularly interesting as a challenge to me.
  10. Arenanet is a wholly owned subsidiary of NCsoft, which is the Blizzard of Korea. Not a small indie dev True, but ANet self publishes. ArenaNet was it's own publisher for a couple of years; NCSoft (West) resumed that position two or more years ago. Thanks, I missed that.
  11. The polls is blatantly biased....and the aspect races you mention were awful and unfair by the very standards you apply, in your OP, to the current events.
  12. Participating in the market is not market manipulation.
  13. You are arguing to have control of their property taken away from others so that you can benefit....and you have the audacity to speak of fairness?
  14. Arenanet is a wholly owned subsidiary of NCsoft, which is the Blizzard of Korea. Not a small indie dev True, but ANet self publishes.
  15. I dislike the CC in this game as well, but I am not sure how requiring players to actively engage with their character's defense and survival is somehow more dumb than just stacking defensive gear and self heals.
  16. This. In some games you have to be out of the circle to avoid the AoE damage. In GW2 you merely have to be in mid dodge at the moment of the damage effect. So focus on timing your dodge rather than trying to move farther. That said, yes a speed boost, in the long run, added to your build can be very helpful because moving out of some circles means you still have your dodge(s) available for the others.
  17. It had nothing to do with being more fair to incoming players and is not more fair to them.
  18. Excessive visual effects are actually slowly pushing me away from this game, but ANet knows that this is the case for some portion of their player base. That is what a forum discussion is for. Ultimatums are inappropriate in this context in my opinion.
  19. So, are DRM possible to complete solo? Because if the answer is "no" they might as well not exist. If that is what the future holds, then that's bad.Of course they are.But to say that content must be soloable to exist in an MMO is among the more misguided comments someone could make. From how things are designed in GW2, anet agrees with me. Want to twist my arm in an attemt to make me join your grouping thing? I'll just bail insted. So, how is the design of raids, fractals, strike missions, sPvP, and those dungeons that absolutely require a team an indication that Anet agrees with you?
  20. Entitled? How? Please explain, because I really don't get it. Nothing in what you said indicated a sense of entitlement. This is just another example of someone throwing around a catchphrase without really understanding it. Like the word ‘forced’. ? I don't know what else to call it when the OP wants Anet to add "incentives" for content with which players aren't engaging enough for the OP. If players want the additional "incentive", they would then be forced to do the content. I can't make this point any more clear. If some can't wrap their mind around it, then I can't do anything more.I would use required or requirement rather than forced, but the point was clear even with your choice.
