  1. I must admit that the item is much more tempting now. Once Ive worked my way through the several stacks of the consumables I have on hand I might consider it.
  2. This encompasses my preference as well. Some tweaks rather than a massive changes would hit the mark for me.
  3. Elementalist feels like a mage to me, or would if staff were a better weapon. The idea that a mage needs to attack at melee range, with melee weapons, to reach its potential as a "nuker" is a bit off IMO. Again, all it would take is a rework for staff for me to be happy with Ele. And I agree with the comment above about not caring for the target cap of five, especially for Meteor Shower.
  4. I am projecting nothing. I do tend to look with suspicion on claims of having quit the game by people who continue to frequent the forums. I left previously because I was disgusted with ANet, and did not "wander" around the forums talking about how much I was NOT playing the game. When I leave again, quite possibly very soon, because I am again disgusted with ANet, I will be gone until such time as a friend (many of my guildmates are people I know in real life) lures me back or something of the sort. As it stands now I would hardly say that I currently "love" the game as I am primarily playing because people I wish to spend gaming time with are doing so....but even that draw is finite.
  5. Yeah, they definitely need to stop printing their scripts on the back of originals of the magna carta.
  6. Claim to have quit the game. Personally I have "left" for extended breaks a few times and still remain.
  7. I never claimed to not be interested. That said, I just noticed your statement, in another thread, that you are using google to translate to/from English. Perhaps you didnt intend to say what I paraphrased here but my statement was an accurate representation of how google translated your intended statement. I apologize for picking apart a comment based on what was said in a situation where the fault lies with a language barrier. I do not normally respond as I did here when I am aware of the nature of the issue.
  8. For what it is worth, Google is doing an absolutely awful job of translating your posts into English. The word choices and sentence structure render many of your intended statements and thought into, at best, not much more than gibberish and, at worst, into what I assume to be almost the opposite of your intent. This, of course, is no fault of your own and I applaud your attempts, but you should be aware of just how badly google is mangling your intended message(s).
  9. Now that is hilarious. "I have no interest in this poll that I was sufficiently interested in to create. Your responses are of sufficient interest to me that I will give suggestions as to how you might make them more interesting to me....but, honest, I am totally not interested."
  10. Sorry to respond in a second post but this is incorrect. Retaining customers is largely irrelevant if they are not paying. Microtransactions are the primary source of revenue. In GW2 expansions have bordered on being loss leaders, barely recouping cost of production specifically to drive gemstore sales. Undercutting your primary income source is a solid way to kill your company unless you have some expectation that you can recover that revenue elsewhere.
  11. Then there will be a bunch of new shareholders. This does not reduce the company's revenue because the company is not participating in those trades. Now it may drive the stock's price down temporarily if the business fundamentals are solid and the sell off is baseless. But like as not that will mean some new saavy shareholders who recognized that the sellers were making a mistake. Otherwise, of course, the sell off couldnt occur as there would be no one wanting to buy.
  12. No, NCSoft is not funded by investors, or least not until they issue more stock. There is no ongoing fee/payment to be allowed to own stock. And, again, the potential loss of sales from GW2 as it becomes a lame duck (assuming that a GW3 actually gets developed and assuming that it is an MMO) is just part of the cost of development of GW3. And....as much as one can argue that some portion of the player base might stop spending money in GW2 if it enters lame duck status, one could argue just as readily that giving away monetizable content in GW3 would reduce that games earning potential as well. I spend a lot of money on my main game of choice. Give me in GW3 what I paid for in GW2 and you have cut tens of thousands of dollars of potential income from the new game.
  13. The core game and Factions, full games on their own, did not have them. Nightfall (a full game) and Eye of the North, not a full game but rather an expansion, did. Arguably more of the game was released without them than with. Especially if you consider the fact that initially the limit on heroes meant needing other players to fill a group. Still, it is very clear that ANet recognized the value of solo play, or at least the need for fewer human teammates, as the franchise went on.
  14. I play around in Silverwastes with some degree of frequency. It is one of my favorite maps and one of the few meta events that I actually enjoy. Its pretty rare that I WP into an inactive instance of the map. I would enjoy seeing a balance pass for the bosses with the current state of character power in mind, but care would have to be taken to avoid overdoing it for people joining the game and working their way through for the first time.
  15. Nothing needs to be done IMO. Sure something like the Hall of Monuments wod be a nice gesture, perhaps even a good idea financially, but there is no, "should be done here." GW3, if it gets developed, will be funded by NCSoft, not by GW2's revenue. The potential loss of revenue from GW2 (however small or great) due to player disengagement will be factored into the cost of developing GW3 (again a big IF). Now, if the projected cost of development, including reduced GW2 revenue, looks to be non recoverable, or otherwise unlikely to reach ROI target then it wont be developed.
  16. Looking at the requirements I found the WvW set to be the easiest. I played the game mode without thinking about the armor until one day a guildie asked how many skirmish tickets I had. I had no clue but checked my wallet and told him a little over 25k... I guess my point is, enjoy the game. You can get most rewards in a variety of ways. I recently bought a few legendary weapons off of the tp (because I didnt feel like doing more map completion) with gold earned playing content that I enjoy and felt like at the time. If none of the leggie armor acquisition methods appeal...so be it, but there are plenty of other options for your rewards.
  17. Have you considered WvW and strikes for your ascended weapons? Perhaps even go after legendaries (purchased outright for gen 1 and 3 weapons)? If you really like the combat system(s) here (as I do) then having stat switching on the fly is very nice. Up to you. For what its worth, I detest crafting in MMOs and have found GW2's version to be particularly awful. I refused, for years, to engage with it after giving it a shot at launch. In the end I was convinced to follow a guide and quickly level up a few crafting professions because I had acquired pretty much all of the materials needed for two full sets of legendary armor just by playing and, as my wife put it, "don't be that stubborn (insert alternate word for donkey here) I know you are being right now!" As she said, I was cutting off my nose to spite my face by not setting aside a few hours over the course of a month to just get it done so that I could enjoy the game much much more. I am not saying that you will enjoy the crafting process. Nor the process of leveling your crafting profession. I am saying that getting it done will open up the possibilities of having vastly more fun with the game.
  18. That is not what your poll asked. Not wanting Palworld elements in GW2 does not indicate that one finds nothing interesting about Palworld. I do not want strawberry icecream blended into my tomato basil soup, that does not mean that I dislike strawberry icecream.
  19. "They" also volunteer to help people with whatever is giving them a problem. Ive lost count of how many times people like Vayne has done so.
  20. Which has already been provided. We have access to skins and titles that no one who did not play GW1 can ever have. And, do remember that someone who came on board the game in 2015 could very well have supported the game and studio far more than someone who got their GWAMM back in 2010. There is nothing inherent to having the GWAMM title that indicates a level of financial support for the company beyomd buying GW1.
  21. Yeah, not to fond of automatic zoom either. A toggle might be nice....or at least an options setting.
  22. Not sure that I would want to get it again. Its been going on 12 years. I am over rewards I earned in a completely different game....aren't you? And it wasnt just GWAMM that funded GW2, it was all GW1 purchasers. I dont ask for special rewards when I buy a coke now just because I drank a lot of it decades ago.
  23. I dont think it is so much a, "design flaw," as it is a design decision, like so many others, that not everyone enjoys. I dont consider the existence of jumping puzzles in GW2 to be a design flaw so much as they are content that does not appeal to me.
  24. I do not see the point of adding additional account value for people who played a different game a decade or more ago. The initial purpose of pursuing all of those gw1 titles, namely keeping people engaged so that they were more likely to buy gw2, has been fulfilled.
