Necro staff is everything you'd ever want from Ele staff and much more.

Can't have sidegrade/horizontal content that requires any actual grind because the player base can't handle it(See: Masteries during HOT). Can't have cosmetic grinds because this game is Buy to play and the best cosmetics go into gacha boxes and the cash shop. Can't have gear grinds because they advertised this game as no gear grinds. Anet has backed themselves into a corner and created a game that has no reason to be played.

It's for PvP / WvW, which, hilariously, is the one form of content where I have infinite energy and don't even manage it. It's a complete failure of a game mechanic. Working as intended. Elementalist is more effort, same or less reward. That is the design philosophy behind the class. Once you understand that, you'll be a happier player. Quit Ele until it's 0% play rate.

It's so funny how Anet fell for the same trap every other modern MMO dev has fallen for. Two difficulties, one for the 1% of players who are completely incapable of playing the game, and another for the 1% of players who extremely good at the game. The other 98% of people get nothing!

We need new gear, period. There needs to be another tier of gear beyond Ascended if this game intends to not stay reliant purely on cycling in new players over and over again.

This is exactly how I've felt since EoD. I've never seen devs just go "No, we'd rather you didn't play our game" until EoD in GW2.

It's not. Vanilla WoW and FFXI (11, not 14)are still great games that I have fun playing.

Also, most ele builds simply go afk when its "zero dmg from melee". 10/10 interaction.

10m people could buy the game overnight and 0% of that would go into GW2.

They never fix bugs with them and certain creature types like Imps.

The game is the worst state it's been in since LS1. The state is just as bad as LS1. Thank the 3 leviathans who single handedly keep the game afloat through Black lion chest gambling.

EoD was trash, too. The games been terrible for a while. Drizzlewood is still the last farm map we've gotten.

Initiative is why I will never play thief in PvE. It makes it extremely boring. PvP only class, when PvP is completely abandoned(WvW too). Really weird.

SotO has the worst metas since Core. The expansion released, then had a fractal event while fractals were so bugged they were completely non-funcitonal (CMs), and it still went unfixed for weeks. All of SotO's metas are unfun and extremely unrewarding unless you need legendary armor. Rifts are the worst content in GW2, period. Up there with trash like crab toss and southsun survival. Afking for pips in WvW is more fun than doing the metas or Rifts for legendary armor. The first update added basically nothing to work towards or do, in an already weak expansion with nothing to do and no rewards.

Crazy how people are still in denial about GW2 being in maintenance mode after seeing post-SoTos release schedule and content offerings.

This game has been in maintenance mode since PoF. It's weird people are now just realizing Anet gave up.

A lot of cool, fun and good changes. None to ele, as usual, not even sure why the class is in the game but whatever. A shame none of this matters since they don't add meaningful content to do, or things to work towards. The last farm map we got was Drizzlewood and it's a 4 year old map at this point. That's two WoW expacs, or 16 PoE leagues.

All training groups are a scam and inhumane.

Power creep is a big issue in a game with such anemic content updates. Every expac essentially removes more content than it adds due to power creep.

No they shouldn't. Raids / CM's are done by such a small minority and should remain that way. I knew they'd continue to pick the worst option for a battle pass(ruin the game option) and try to get players to do content they hate doing. Blizzard tried doing this for a decade and finally learned that you don't force players to do things they don't want to do, or they quit the game. Anet is in for a rude awakening.

Gyala Delve is the best meta in the game.(part1) Healers matter. DPS matters. Buffers matter. It's the best gold/hr in the game. This hatred over Gyala is so weird. You prefer metas that give less gold than Queensdale and pose zero challenge where nothing matters? Cause thats every SotO meta.
