  1. Graphic effects are imo increasingly becoming a problem. Not only in terms of FPS (yea, ok, might blame my crappy computer for that), but especially in terms of blocking out the relevant things. The skyscale - much as I like it especially to get to places or even to put in some afk-time without having to resort to a guild hall or the like - for me is becoming increasingly annoying - especially with people fluttering in the middle of the action at the current boss event bonus. In some places it is almost impossible to see what is going on because the entire screen is just covered with either fluttering wings (if you zoom out) or various graphic effects (if you zoom in). It would be great to have an option to turn player 'animation' off.
  2. I had a similar issue - neither my computer, nor my internet connection, nor my personal reaction time are particularly fast. I managed eventually, but the catch-game definitely gave me some initial grief (especially after all the effort I had put into the skyscale already), even if I managed eventually. When I had the first unsuccessful attempts, I found the fact that one miss reset the whole attempt to 0 the most frustrating part - maybe it could be an alternative option for implementation (if the originally intended one fails) to give an alternative of completion by a higher number of successful catches in total (instead of a lower number in a row). I guess for someone who has (for whatever reason) problems meeting subsequent successful catches that would at least make completion possible (and those who don't have any problems will probably achieve the required subsequent catches before they meet the alternative criterion)
  3. Well, I donated 250 ingots for 'science'. I didn't really expect anything great to come out of it - the whole thing smelled very much of some 'maniac' doing 'scientific research'.However, after the bar filled up completely (which in and of itself took ages - especially with no change in the required mats), absolutely nothing happened. Our mad scientist just continued collecting mithril. I waited for maybe 5 more collections after the bar was full, but as still nothing happened, I decided it was probably bugged and left for something more fun.I didn't expect any great reward, but no outcome at all (not even 5000 Karma or some kind of funny mystic forge animation or whatever) was definitely underwhelming. I hope it gets fixed so even those of us who decided not to keep looking at a pretty boring bug can experience what was meant to happen.
  4. Suggestion: put the beetle (and potentially other) races on a global timer and then have a tool like 'World Boss Portal Device' for the races (pretty please ^^)
  5. Gah, someone forgot to feed the server hamsters... so sad :P
  6. Quite frankly I believe that the age rating of GW2 (12+) would need to be reconsidered given the current trend of increasing 'gambling' aspects of the game (mount loot boxes, the 2 versions of ecto gambling, gambling for bag slot material). At least in Germany gambling for minors is against the law (no matter if with or without permission of parents/guardians by the way). While this might seem drastic, the reason is pretty simple: any form of gambling is paving the way to later addiction. And I think if people are honest, most of us - even if we are 'of age' - have at some point succumbed to the addictive aspect of some of that gambling (just one more lucky roll - I'll sure be able to refill gold and ecto this time...)In addition, the gambling in guild wars meets a lot of the criteria for being addictive (fast results - you know if you have won almost instantly; fast rewards - instant; the impression you can influence the result in some way - left chest/right chest? ....)The fact that it's now increased also with gems (which bear a somewhat closer relation to real-life money) doesn't really change the general concept. Gambling can lead to addiction - whether it's with in-game gold, gems or real-life money. And it is especially dangerous for younger people. In that light the new age rating would have to be 18+ given the recent developments. I think this is very sad. Coming from GW1 I always had the impression this particular brand of game was very nice in being something that could be enjoyed by family members across a wide age-span.
