  4. Running this mix of Dire, Trailblazers and Carrion gear is a big part of your problem. The Carrion is specifically a suboptimal choice. The Sigil of Corruption provides negligible value against a boss without constant adds. In this encounter the proc off the sigil won't last long enough to be of constant value during the Boss Phases. Plaguelands is an objectively better elite in PvE than Ghastly Breech.   8. As long as you are playing with people who will accept an off-meta healer in raids/t4 fractals Scrapper, Tempest and Scourge are all very viable. I prefer tempest for raw carry as it's heals are significantly more powerful thanks to overload water and warhorn, but I've been very successful with Scourge in Strikes, Scrapper is fun and "good" but it lags behind the other two in PvE (even with the quickness added). Do keep in mind though that to really maximize support you should really leverage your Build Templates and Equipment loadouts and create a separate support and dps build/equ

  12. The reaction from others to your post is largely a function of the tone you have used in your OP and in your other responses in this thread. You started with an aggressive tone ("remember how totally WRONG you all were?... you are WRONG about this too!") and used the same faulty logic that people have used to justify requests for other niche content like Player Housing, or Underwater combat reworks. If you wanted factual discussion you may have tried a different approach in your OP. As it stands you started your argument without facts and got zero in return. No surprise there.
  13. Implementing Duels in Open World on PvE maps would force the engine to apply the existing PvE ruleset/gearing to the Duel. This cannot be changed according to the developers. This is why WvW guilds do not often practice in Guild Halls, as they apply the PvE ruleset and not the WvW or sPvP ones. The PvE ruleset is poorly balanced for competitive activity by design.   16. If you are happy with the old missions repackaged with a Legendary amulet as a form of jingling the keys to distract you from the lack of content, I am truly happy for you. I am not.   17. Ticked off about this one. We're looking at what... 4 months worth of old content repackaged with "fresh achievements" and a Legendary Amulet to distract us from what is one of the bigger content droughts in this game? And the Achievements are bugged? pretty uncool.
  18. What is "the best" is going to depend largely on your individual skill level,play style and ability with the class. While a full damage set like Viper's(-ine) might be preferred overall for a condi build, if your skill level with the class/build is such that you find yourself struggling to stay alive, then Trailblazer's would be preferred. You don't do damage while you are running around, resetting and re-sustaining. It comes down to the basic question "am I running around trying to stay alive?". or "is this stupidly easy and I wish I was doing more damage?". No one can answer

  20. The verticality you claim is causing players "agony" was one of the things that truly made me fall in love with this game. The design of Verdant Brink made the open world feel dangerous in a way that no other MMO had managed to do before for me. The layered approach of Tangled Depths represents, to me at least, some of the greatest open world map design in any MMO, which usually contain flat-ish maps with static collections of mobs.   21. Catering exclusively to a low effort playstyle is what this company did through the bulk of 2019. The results were the worst financial quarter this game has ever seen. The results were so bad, the game director responsible for this course was sent packing and a large statement was made that included a capitulation that the more engaged players were not being well served as an audience. Since then we've been delivered a much wider variety of content and the game is in a much better financial place. The game has actually offered a much better variety of content that appeals
