Also player housing is one of the most popular MMO gaming features for a reason. Its content creation on personal level that can be shared with others

    Is it really though?
    WoW doesn't have any.
BDO's is barely used by most people other than to gain relevant buffs and minmax progression.
Even FF14's implementation is a feature that the vast majority of players consistently ignore other than a passionate niche.
I can list a very long line of fairly successful MMOs that have zero player housing,

no , other games got lawsuits for about the same topic.

every judge will make anet force to lay their production and operating costs for such skin open and then they need to explain why they think with this low cost developement are able to charge 20 bucks per each. Always keep infront your eyes its digital content so it cant run out or needs to be reproduced like real world items.

Easy win for my attorney with this high price they ask. Its almost the price of an expansion and almost half the price of a full game...

    Hogwash.
Making items for a price and selling them for more than it costs to make them has a name.
    It's called "capitalism".
    And it is 100% legal.

But feel free to call up Sydney Powell on this one.
I hear she has time to take the case.

Please tell me they're not actually waiting to have fully re-released LWS1 before giving us a genuinely new LW episode. 😞

No where has Anet promised any kind of Living World continuation. They've chosen their words very carefully about any upcoming content and purposefully avoided any reference to "Living World"
    Ask yourself why.
The answer is pretty simple... they are not planning any.

... but what if the game forbade players and NPCs from moving through one another?

It was a thing in GW1 and honestly meant putting more thought into combat.

Just imagine an end to stacking as the be-all, end-all reasoning for narrow areas of effect, awful balance decisions, and benchmark exploits reliant on maximizing the number of hits delivered from inside a target's hit-box.  Would also be nice to see encounter and arena design with more workable space than constantly worrying if my forced movement skill is going to fling me into the soup or off a cliff (again).

And yeah, to get it to work -- I mean, really work -- ANet would need to go back and redesign a ton of content and instanced maps where narrow corridors and the like would make this really awful to deal with, but then again, that just goes to show you that no one was considerate of space and movement in the first place.

The real reason is that body blocking requires far more server resources and data transmission to calculate.

I've been out of the loop for awhile. So what exactly did they do to drive the price back down to below a gold? Eod was like a weekend jaunt, map complete then move on. Wasn't that memorable so I've probably missed what ever they added to hurt the coins. Was it these incredibly underwhelming gemstore quality leggies that came out with? That would make sense to me if that's the case.

The Gen3 legendaries don't need a stack of them, and take far fewer clovers. The majority are crafting the new hotness.
    Less demand, same supply.

  6. Is toughness aggro really a thing?
I seem to remember a developer dispelling this at some point saying that only certain raid bosses (and even then not all of them) actually factored toughness into it's threat table.

Admit I could be wrong on this one but... Open World, Dungeons, Fractals I have never once noticed a difference in aggro mechanics. I am no stranger to running things like Trailblazers or Celestial, while also running full damage gear.
I suppose some science is in order.

No. I stated what I'd like to see in this thread. I'm not going to put time into some analysis as to how exactly to reach it without hurting people who bought 200 accounts for login rewards because someone on the forums wants to argue with me in bad faith.

That's a funny way of saying "I can't do it"

    These forums are depressingly predictable:

More than one person: you just want them to be easier to get! You want to hurt my and/or other people's login reward profits!

Explain how a new faucet will not drive down the price further (thereby hurting people who used them as income).
    They are a trade-able resource.

As far as I can tell, there is no non-time-gated way to obtain Mystic Coins and the most organic ways are some Fractal Daily chests? (possible drop), the one from ley-line anomaly, and a limited amount from PvP tournaments and WvW pip track.

Basically what I'm getting at is, unlike most materials (even t6, which aren't easy to come by, but have a variety of ways to work toward them)

The TP is not time gated.

    "stuff I don't like"/=Bad design
There is a sizable portion of players of this game (one may even venture the majority) who will never make a legendary weapon. For them, the mystic coins were a massive piece of their income. This income stream has been gutted now. All it took was a new generation of legendary weapons that didn't require a stack of them and half the mystic clovers.

A year ago people on this forum were screaming bloody murder at Anet for the price when they were hovering around 2g.
Now it's less than 25% what they were.
I doubt you're  going to get a whole lot of reasonable voices joining you leading the charge to drive them down further.

    This.

Personally I would rather not see too much more in the way of dev resources put into fishing until monetization of fishing is increased.

I could care less about the monetization.
I recognize the system's value in terms of engagement. I see plenty of people fishing.

But this idea that the fishing system is supposed to be some kind of passive gold farm where people need to be doing other things at the same time?

    Hot garbage.

No, that's inaccurate since neither Sylvari nor Asura have surnames.

@ confused person: That's a fact. :classic_rolleyes: Read up on the lore. Gorrik also mentions it in LWS4:

"Asura do not have a last name, instead opting to use job titles, a krewe name, or honorifics to differentiate themselves. Those who choose to take a last name of a style similar to humans are rare and are considered eccentrics, and their surname is often ignored by other asura."

    https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Asura

Asura may absolutely use a last name and be lore-friendly

What do you think about getting another utility skill so instead of the current 3 we are going to have 4.

It is a small change but will open the build variations.

    Power Creep is bad, mkay?

If "build variety" =Better gameplay we would all still be playing gw1

Hello, dear community of Guild Wars 2.

I've never been the type of writing a forum post about something trivial to rant about, but this time, I feel like I have to 'vent' a bit.

Logged in about 30 minutes ago, opened up the gem store to look at skins and behold: plush griffon skin.

Now, I've never been the most 'immersive' type of a player, but the plush skin line is, for my taste, a bit too much. I mean, I'm not the most immersion seeking type, but I do love a little amount of it, some of the skins fit Guild Wars 2 lore very well, while the others not so much. Looking at the Plush Griffon, it honestly feels like a second-hand easy cash grab that was developed by a greedy eastern developer *cough* Gamigo *cough*. Something about that skin rocked my boat to the extent I had to make a forum post about it - I cannot be the only one that feels like it, can I?

Plus the price of 1280 gems (20% off right now) with a regular price of 1600 gems. I can just ignore it, I know it fully well, but something about it grinded my gears. 😞 Maybe the fact I'm expecting more from Anet?  Maybe the fact that I'm desperately hoping they won't turn into a greedy company that will pop out a whole batch of half-assed skins and call it a day? Maybe I truly and wholeheartedly believe that this is not the absolute best what Anet has to offer...

I fully understand that it's such a trivial thing to complain about, but I just had to voice my small opinion about it - Plush skins do not fit into Guild Wars 2 as they feel cheap.

I'm sorry for spamming the forum with a topic like this.

Yeah it's just awful to have your immersion broken.
Let me put on my Ascended Aurene T-shirt outfit, jump on my Super Adventure Raptor Mount, equip my shortbow that shoots rainbow unicorns and we can have a long conversation about it while we kill some Choya.

OK ANET need to fix what is required to make the legendary ring Conflux, you put it behind the longest waiting map currency in the game. You need a total of 2600 skirmish tickets to make conflux. Well guess what some people do not enjoy playing part of this game like it is a god kitten job, and with all the Rifle Mech crap that is going around on WvW it is impossible to even get close to getting those numbers. At present with the 2600 tickets needed at max chests you will need to full complete 7.1 weeks in a row. This is 1,000,000% unfair to anyone who wants to have conflux but does not enjoy WvW at all. You need to fix this, if you want to keep conflux hidden behind the skirmish tickets than make them so you can sell them on the TP.  The same thing can be said for PvP. Some players just do not like those parts of the game and should not be penalized for not wanting to do them.   Please fix this over sight, and either one make the tickets able to be sold on the TP or give a second currency that can be used to make the ring and either or situation works just as well.......While your at it really really really look hard at the Mech they are all over the place and they need to be fixed the rifle is just WAY to OP.
