  1. I'm curious, what's the advantage of dodge-jumping? Why not just dodge?
  2. Anet likely has most, if not all, of their future mounts laid out and decided on, but I thought I'd throw up a few ideas. It's mostly for fun, but hey, maybe an Anet employee will see this and think "that's a neat idea". Throw up your own!! An underwater mount. Pretty obvious. We'll almost definitely go to see Bubbles eventually, so an underwater map is a given. Plus, the water drops on the mount icon when you're underwater. Not sure what it could be, but likely something that turns very easily and is at approximately player speed near the surface but gets faster as it gets deeper. Not sure how well the saddle idea would go over - maybe a large fish, dolphin, seahorse, or sea turtle, but if we ditch the saddle, then some sort of octopus or squid would be quite fun as well.Something that climbs. The problem with this one is that it might intersect with the springer a bit, but basically it would be a tetrapod that would climb along the walls. It wouldn't move very fast, probably slightly slower than the player, but it would be able to scale walls easily. Maybe an adrenaline bar if you were vertical?A burrower. Now, this one is a little tough to do, since the ground in GW2 is typically the ground. I'm not sure how it would work, but vertical movement through soil would be critical. Probably a bug-like mount, possibly a worm. It wouldn't be something where you're just moving underground but aside from that all movement is the same, you just can't see yourself.Speedy mount. Something with the strict purpose of going fast. Like a horse (those don't exist) an antelope, moose, or ostrich. The moose would have to be the size of an actual moose though, and not the midget ones that are in game. As a Canadian, seeing moose smaller than some characters upsets me. If you don't know how big a moose is, do not google it. Live in bliss.Shadhavar. I've heard rumours about this one. Personally, I wouldn't be using it all that much if it matches the rumours, but supposedly a camel-like mount would carry two people. The main thing I don't understand here is... why not just... use two mounts...? Or carry a lot more than 2 people.A very slow moving mount for crossing dangerous areas. Something with a lot of HP that is just intended to get you through a heavily fortified area.Another flying mount. The griffon was made because they didn't want a mount you could just afk on in the sky. They wanted skill to be a factor in how well you could handle it, and perpetually staying up would be something you had to practice for. So when I say another flying mount, I do mean stay with this idea - it should still be something that flies, but no better than the griffon. There isn't a specific reason for this aside from the fact that people just really like flying mounts, and having some variety would be nice.A far-sight mount. That can stealth. Guild Wars 2 is infamous for not rendering objects in the distance. A mount that has the ability to scout really well and sneak past enemies would certainly have its uses.A machine. Like a vehicle of some sort. This would be something with multiple uses - it wouldn't excel at anything in particular, like the springer can go high, but it would be an ATV.Personally, one thing that I would really like to be a thing with mounts, unless that mount was essential (like the first 3 PoF mounts are) is an acquisition barrier.I am not talking about gold. Please, no more 250 gold mounts. However, a journey, a feat that proves that you earned that mount would be fantastic. Most people would not own every single mount, which I find takes away the magic a little bit. Having a griffon is great, but if there were 5 mounts just as great and owning one of them also means that you know that only a small portion of players own that same mount? A little like legendaries, just maybe not quite that big of an achievement. Let me know what you all think, and what other mounts you'd like to see in the game!
  3. It really wouldn't.You're not automatically loading the TP without these things. It's a refined search. It's the same situation as "does this item have precision or not".
  4. Downsides: -Randomized mount skins.-No Tengu?-Giants, hydras, sand lions, and sand sharks all have broken cc.-I'd LOVE to go into first person for riding on my mount (and still be able to see my mount!!!!!). The fact that I can't do this makes me sad. Upsides: -MUSIC-Basically everything else? Future suggestions: -Another "safe zone" major city. Not even talking about if you ever do add the Tengu, but something in outside of Tyria.-Underwater map for Bubbles. Like, a deep one. Nothing in Tyria is deep.
