  1. I think there was a trait that awarded extra initiative that's been nerfed
  2. Ok, so as per a previous post, I suffered a head injury back in 2020, so I often take long breaks from the game while I balance my computer time with the medication I take. I tend to login and check out new releases etc when I see something in my Google feed that piques my interest. What has become a predictable trope now though, is that my Thief main across every single update in three years has had some kind of nerf or fundamental change that sucks the fun out of it in PvE. The latest of which that I've noticed is that 1/4 of my initiative bar is now gone, making my Dual Pistols Deadeye build absolutely painful to play. Is there any chance that the Dev team can knock it off, I get that PvP needs balancing, but you've demonstrated that you're perfectly capable of having different PvE and PvP settings for characters and I'm less and less excited to return to the game each time for PvE because the PvP balancing has been prioritized over fun.
  3. Every time I get a notification about profession changes my eyes roll into my sockets knowing that my PVE characters are being nerfed again. I'm struggling to stay with the game due to a head injury in 2020 and frankly, I'm less inclined to persevere if this keeps up
  4. I still don't understand the reason for nerfing traits like this, it's not like we're doing a massive heal that makes us unkillable in the first place.
  5. This 110% - a lot of my characters are now sat idle just claiming birthday rewards because of exactly this.
  6. Well yes, but some are coming at it with different mindsets. Sometimes I think we all forget this is supposed to be fun.
  7. Reductions to the regen portion of crits, a fair few reductions in stealth durations etc are really boring gameplay wise. I quite enjoy PvE slipping in an out of stealth against enemies. Even doing meta's last night I noticed a dramatic change in survive rate from before from just the trait line change. As for Revensnt, I made a sword/sword Rev themed around Mallyx, I loved the torment pulse skill and found it really good for holding down a single spot with hard damage. Now I'm just playing berserker instead of it as over the years the skills I enjoyed have for the most part all been changed and I don't enjoy it anymore. I'm sorry that I don't fall into the group of players that obsess over balance, I'm just giving my own feedback based on how much fun I am (or am not) having due to changes.
  8. I've never been a fan of PvP in GW, and I don't see why the group that do have to suck the fun out of PvE to do it with these constant nerfs. Its going to get to the point where I just quit altogether, I didn't play my Rev for two years until last week just to collate some birthday rewards for a black lion ticket, because of repeated nerfs to it. My warrior is far more suited to the task I first made a Revenant for, so why bother.
  9. This 100% - I play a pistol/pistol Deadeye and this was useful to keep me up in the fight, I'm finding that these nerfs are just sucking the fun out of PvE (I have zero interest in PvP) for what little time I can play.
  10. Personally, having had a forced break from Gw2 due to a head injury last year, I'm hoping that Thief get something decent. After getting gliding and mounts, I was hoping for a bit more than fishing and boats - but that all depends on how it plays so I can't cast too much judgement yet I like the sheathed weapon aspect of the new warrior class, and would like to see something along those lines perhaps with Thief
  11. I doubt that we'll get new mounts in LS5 like we've had in LS4, so I was thinking about what might be a suitable unlock to gain as part of the story. If we do indeed go after some kind of cure for Taimi, perhaps we could have to gather components to create a detector of some sorts, using the following components: Phasic Distortion ReaderLey infused LodestoneLevvi's Device and any other earn-able scanner devices. The combined device could then still provide the component warnings, but take up fewer inventory slots. For those of us with things like the world boss portal device from the Gemstore, these could also be added (just like the portal scrolls) freeing up additional space.
  12. I work full time and run a few social clubs, and have a small child that needs constant attention...Took me a week and a half to gather the materials.
  13. She turned me into a newt! Well, I got better...
  14. I'd like to see LS5 tackle some smaller stories with an over-arcing thread, perhaps finding a cure for Taimi as a 6 episode adventure that builds up to something setting up another expansion?
  15. Not sure if it was north or not, I just remember the fallen tree going up from a platform in the ravine to the cliff face, and the road markers used to navigate by
  16. I remember pre-searing from the GW beta, at some point myself and another player were heading across a ravine by way of a huge fallen tree, I remember being in awe of the scenery but sadly never found the location in the small time I had a copy of the live game installed. Maybe if something like this happened I could go exploring again
