  1. Did it in private with a 10 squad with all but 1 cm on, didn't count for the weekly strike. Lol. Must not be Strikey enough for the Strike club.
  2. If one uses the Sorcerer's Cape with a sheathed weapon, instead of floating off of your back and being blessed in front of you, it will instead merely spin on your back? Looks pretty strange. It can sometimes be temporarily fixed by hiding then showing your cape appearance but that doesn't always work and some weapons don't get fixed at all by this. And the fix end when you swap weapons. Thanks for your time!
  3. Not to be mean, but they should stop playing advocate and just lock threads like these. If it's been this long, they know, and besides, last time I made a thread reminding them I got in trouble for it because I didn't know about this one. At this point, complaining about this problem can get your Gw2 Forum account flagged. So to be perfectly honest I am just moving on, as all of you should. 🤷‍♀️ Let's be honest, if the point of the forum is to point out issues along with discussion for Gw2, then clearly as far as this bug is concerned the forum does not apply. Like, why even complain if it will fall upon deaf ears, or worse, be punished for it. I know the forum moderators can't do much to push it along, clearly, but it would be nice to not get in trouble for wanting portions of the game to be accessible. We paid for it after all. Makes me NOT want to report bugs to be honest, because why waste my time? P.S. for forum moderators, this isn't flak for you, just flak for how disappointing it is to feel like reporting bugs on the forum isn't worth my time anymore. This is pretty much the last thing I have to say on stuff like this so a warning for me "flaming" isn't needed. This isn't flaming. This is lamenting and accepting a permanent situation. Use your time for something worthwhile. I shan't post another message in this thread. =/ Also the easiest fix would just be removing the bounty as a requirement for the achievement, or removing the bounty entirely.
  4. I found a possibility: OnTopReplica. It has some kinks in it, you can make multiple windows but only one can work with the hide/unhide hotkeys. I was also told there was an old custom UI made for Gw1(?), maybe one day that could be updated and put into Gw2 so that everyone can have custom UIs. But for now that is the only tool I have found. Just make sure to disable the "Click Forwarding" function, and enable "Click Through". Hopefully it'll get more updates soon (if forgets setting when you use the hide/unhide hotkey), but for now that is what I have been able to scrounge up. Open to, and will share further solutions as I go.
  5. Does anyone know of a tool I might be able to use to add (preferably opaque) replicas of the skill bar, into other places on the screen like a sort of overlay? I want it so I can more easily keep track of CDs without having to take my eyes off of what I am fighting. Could be a magnifier tool, could be a Blish HUD tool, honestly I don't really care where it comes from but if I could have something to make something like that appear on the screen where I want it, it would greatly enhance my ability to learn rotations, and significantly improve reaction time, since I wouldn't have to waste time glancing at my ability bar. Something like this (idk how to make opaque things in paint): https://imgur.com/a4q9BVV Cheers and thanks to anyone who puts forward anything. Hopefully one day they'll let us move the ability bar around. I would put mine at the top of the screen.
  6. I am just making suggestions but, have you tried unequipping your jade bot if you have one? When I was redoing it for achievements, if I had a core equipped, my skills simply would not load. Also this is pretty dumb because I am PRETTY sure in the last patch notes they said they fixed this...
  7. Hello, my name does not matter. What does matter is all the people having their ability to get the legendary Prismatic Regalia/Vision hampered by the fact that this bounty only works once a day, then the respawn bugs out, and if she spawns on top of a pre existing event it won't COUNT for your achievements. So, as this has been buged for a while, I feel it is only right for me, to help the rest of player base, by making a post that will stay at the top of the bug forums, for a while, by stating every single day, that it is still bugged, with an accompanying screenshot. Is this salty? Yes. I don't deny that. But my singular salt is far less than that of the salt of those who are being held back from getting Domain of Istan mastery. This is even required to get Vision. I get the devs have a lot on their plate, but it's still kind of shameful that this bug still exists for so long after it's been discovered. Think of me as a Lighthouse, salty by the ocean spray, putting a spotlight on what important. Screenshot:https://i.imgur.com/eXkJe4W.png P.S. Yes, I know there are other achievements, but there being other ways isn't an excuse for broken content.
  8. So this may or may not work for y'all, BUT my partner found an applicable fix in a solo instance (we haven't tried it together again yet) that if you hold space to glide, it will actually load you onto the dragon like it's supposed to instead of having you fall all the way down to the bottom. If your bug is a freefall upon entering, this should circumvent that. I can only assume that there's a trigger to load your character onto aurene, but it seems that if you load in before the trigger does, you just fall below it. I really hope they get on this because this sounds like something that would affect anyone with spotty internet, which is a real shame.
  9. I mean, part of why I personally wait for other profession releases is the hopes that the new profession will be a lot more solid than what I'm currently using. Which means I'm not really waiting for new profession per say, as I am more banking on the new profs being more feature complete than the former (aka guardian balance levels). I'll happily take no more new profession for a while if it meant all the other classes attained that level of quality in design and balance. I hope I'm not the only one that feels this way but I often forget that there are 27 professions, as it often doesn't feel like there are that many. I feel part of this is because some professions are just... Simply more robust than others, while being more accessible. So players like me naturally gravitate towards those.
  10. I would absolutely pay for it if it is quality content. Unless of course it's just DRM levels of quality. So bad it's not even easily replayed. I have an easier time replaying dungeons than I do DRMs, and those are still a bit dead despite the currency changes.
  11. Two words: Craft queuing. It doesn't need to be more than 1 new item to craft next. I don't need to be able to queue up everything I'm making, but being able to queue up 300 crafts of x while I wait for 1000 crafts of y would at least give me the ability to do something else while literally just sitting there, waiting, actual dozens of minutes, for things to craft in end game. I understand and even appreciate the point of not letting us autocraft, and not having it be instant, but I'm sure that I'm not the only one who finds babysitting crafting to finish it quickly, quite excruciating. I'm sure there are even devs who dislike it. This shouldn't be a hard ask, especially now when research notes are required for legendaries which just adds more time spent brainlessly watching items craft, unavoidably, for QoL items. I don't need any changes to crafting beyond that. And the knowledge I don't have to babysit my toon every second while they craft 700 of a single item so that I can be ready to queue the next item to finish crafting, sooner than later, would be amazing? If you don't craft constantly for profits, then this is more apparent when making legendaries. Not everyone crafts legendaries over time, some of us make nearly everything all at once after we have all the time-gated/account-bound items. And end game crafting is time consuming as hell. Being able to effectively have a continuous queue if one is paying attention I think is a good trade-off because they're actually paying enough attention to continuously queue. Having to pay attention specifically for the end of a craft cycle to type up the next quantity and to either mess up the amount or accidently queue the same item again in the rush to finish always feels awful. There is no involved way to guarantee being ready for the next item, instead only passively staring at a number go down until zero. Sorry about my tone, if I sound a little aggravated, it's because making 3000+ items every day and making the aforementioned mistakes despite having constant practice attempting to avoid them tends to wear at you when you know the currently system doesn't need to really change much to nearly completely eliminate those issues. We don't even have a notifications to tell you when you're done. Not when the notification for the first of 500 items is the same as the 500th.
  12. I appreciate any Joko RP. While I can't say I'd know how to improve the skill, I do know that since I picked warrior back up again (against my better judgement), I will say that I agree. The skill is pretty much a dud. Currently it feels like one of those talents in a single player game that looks useful on paper, but in practice, it's very wanting. You know the ones, they literally exist for you to realize they are bad, and get a rush from picking something better. Like sure, it can do something nice, but completely at random, which makes it inconsistent and basically worthless.
  13. My partner and I are also having this problem. I'd say this prevents any new player from getting Skyscale. A quick fix asap would be nice, if not for the players, then simply for all the Skyscale skin sales you guys are missing out on. Needless to say, no amount of restarting or various combinations of story journal clicking is fixing this for us.
  14. Because this is a videogame sold for money and bureaucrats are extremely slow to adapt to the tech landscape. You're right to be bothered and anyone covering for it should rethink their political stances, yet I am sorry to tell you but most laws pale in comparison to the laws of monetary exchange. Want it to change? Push for changes where you live that pressure lawmakers to facilitate movements and laws that place building community and social systems and services, to hold people up, rather than enrich the select powerful few of your nation. Sorry to bring the depressing realities of real life into this but you asked a depressing real life question. Shrug
  15. I went with the pre events being too long, namely the escorts, and the rewards are too small to justify escorts that are so long. I feel and know it's like to this as filler content to feel more substantial, but it just feels like Single Player game filler. Beyond that the list lengthens; CMs can't be done in PuGs, only statics, it's not that it's too hard, it's that CMless is boring, solo is boring CMs are the only thing that adds variety to them, and again, can only be accessed in statics Related dailies now randomized, preventing them from actually getting publics filled The buffs within only help other DRMs, so there isn't reason to do them for other content, other than themselves The travel sections should just be removed, they're the primary reason people seem to AFK since you can rush everything else before, and the most obvious flag that says it's filler content A lot of this wouldn't be a problem if they were designed with replay in mind, as any that it has isn't exactly accessible or rewarding. I personally don't consider having to collect 5 people into a party, or whatever the number is since I never see more than 3 other people in a map, to uncoordinatedly repeat CMs as anything close to accessible replay-ability. DRMs suck because everything that has to be done to get some semblance of enjoyment/reward out of them requires those that play them to do all the work to get them to that point. Basically we have to facilitate what Anet should have programmed in, in the first place; Consistent Dailies, Reconnecting, Engaging Escorts(as opposed to A - B, aka 10+ minutes wasted), Monster Variety, CMs in PuGs, and a dedicated LFG. We have to set all this up ourselves. We have to set up statics, and coordinate them to bypass the long, boring sections that no amount of CMs can make more interesting. The form factor just doesn't work. It could work, but they'd actually have to fix the mistakes they've made over time, an easy example being them tossing the DRM dailies into the Icebrood daily rotation table. I would happily do DRMs if it told me which people are all doing and gave me extra for doing so, but as it stands, I just don't feel like doing more facilitation work than is required by kittening dungeons. Dungeons are more accessible than repeat DRMs.
  16. To be honest I'm at the point where I firmly believe that this was done because it was the fastest solution and they wanted to be done with getting out a already late holiday arrival. So late. Imagine kittening a lot of end game systems sideways because you wanted to be lazy? Slow is smooth, and smooth is fast. If you'd picked the slower solution, you'd not have to spend time fixing all the new problems ya'll created by rushing.
  17. Inclined to agree with this. Any time a WP won't get you somewhere is a moment to practice with your mounts. Mounts trivialize travel with good use. A well versed griffon or roller beetle driver can cross the average map in under a minute.
  18. (Deleted first part because I realize now I was injecting too much of my frustration over the time sink portion of the currency) So because they didn't think about it's interactions with festivals, we have to now watch them remove items from the game in order to facilitate an item that removes items from the game, namely all of the candy from our trick and treat boxes. And if you can't see the irony there, then you're just Arena Net. The real reason why this currency isn't working is cuz they won't stop messing with it. I got news for you arena net, no one wants to use a currency that is subject to rug pulling! How are we supposed to plan anything out that incorporates these things when we don't know when they're going to shoot up in price randomly because of a stupid knee jerk dev move???
  19. This is so necessary that I now consider the fact that we don't have it, a bug. 😁 On low settings it's manageable, on high it looks like Megiddo from Golden Sun on loop. A bit much.
  20. Like, really? Ya'll removed ~12 items from the drop table, 10 of them being food items related to what this dumb festival is based off of, which is Halloween. I can only assume this is because it could be abused during the season to get people a lot of research notes. Ya'll seem to want to prevent people from having a lot of those, and the only reason I can infer is that they will be needed for future important stuff, beyond their 10-30g relevance in gen 3 legendary crafting. Can you please just remove these from the research table and then leave them on the food compost table? Then can you give us back our fake candy in our video game? I dunno if there are any rp'ers out there but I liked to eat the candy for rp reasons. Now I can't. Now I have to sell it all. Boring. They were more than just buffs too, some gave color effects and other things. It was fun! But I mean seriously. Who takes Halloween candy away from trick or treaters? :c P.S. If my suggestion was always the plan, great, but if ninja removing it on the pretense that festivals are subject to change was always the plan... well it's obvious and it's crumby. It feels hostile.
  21. Getting bent because of research notes, ironically a system they didn't do the research for, before implementing. If you have to kill other systems to facilitate a system no one wants, you're just wasting your time breaking other systems you'll eventually have to fix, rather than taking the broken system itself to task. If you have to keep changing the game for a bad change you made, maybe look at the change, and not the rest of the game? Grade School kitten, yo.
  22. I decided to start looking into the usefulness of research notes and to be honest I've found them wanting. I know of a few ways to get them. The fastest way has them at 1s a note, so 30g(3000 notes) for Aurene's Fang. The next fastest, which I do do, has them at about 62c a note, or around 20g, probably a little less, once again for Aurene's Fang. And finally, the slowest but most lucrative method puts my research notes at about 42c a note, or about 12.5g, Aurene's Fang. Why did I type this out? Well it's pretty simple, it's almost as if they want to FORCE us to spend 30g in value on leggies, and not 12.5g. Basically, they're breaking all methods of easy food and some of the boons of festivals because of a 18 gold price point on legendaries. That kind of reasoning is pretty stupid if you ask me. I get not wanting them to be worth nothing but we need to keep sight of the actual things at play here? Most legendaries cost over 1000 gold to make. They're screwing up these systems and bending others over backwards, for a component of 3rd gen legendaries that is barely be even 1-3% of their total cost. I could get it if they, I dunno, LISTED THE CHANGE, AND IT'S REASONING. But alas, they left us here to guess. And while I hope they made the change as a temp fix, I doubt it. As there is no note next to invisible ones detailing the change, and how it's only temp until they mark them as non-researchable. I am at a total loss for words.
  23. I think the core problem is it's a "spare item" sink, that requires what you put into it be of greater value than what you get back. I am certain the reason we use the other sinks is because what we get back is at least equally useful when factoring in the time spent on the sink and what we got back. Research notes are kinda worthless, and the more items of their ilk you've unlocked, the less useful they become. I got all the unlocks that required them, then I stopped making them because I didn't need them anymore. I only get more of them when I am forced to. So I completely FAIL to understand why arena net is trying to force these down our throats by both, breaking older more valuable systems because that might improve this broken one, while at the same time trying to destroy anything that could give a meaningful way of getting that new currency. It's like they both WANT us to have a ton of it, but want us to give up a LOT more just to have it. I really don't understand you right now, arena net, I am not sure you do either. It's just not going to happen. You will never succeed in forcing us to use a new, worthless system by making older ones worthless as well. All you're going to accomplish is having two worthless systems, instead of one. Want us to use it? Make it useful without having to destroy another system so it has a place. If you have to do that, then maybe you should rethink the system, entirely. Edit: A new fresh hell has reached me, it's not just an unfair item sink, it's a time sink as you have to spent loads of time trying to find the best items to convert into research notes because the margins can be so tight with these that even a small mistake can lead to 100% losses and no return. We already spend time waiting for items to craft. At this point, crafting an item, so I can break it to craft the real item I wanted, is getting a bit kittening excessive, no a-net? I thought you respected our time...
  24. Maybe I am just an kitten hat but I've always felt like energy meld was a filler ability so that there was more to do on the class while you waited, since old vindi was a lot of waiting. I think it should be something that fits in with the idea of an "alliance". Maybe it would be cool if it was the Elite skill of your other legend. Now now, I know what you're thinking, random, right? Yes, but it plays into the alliance thing. Your legend is allied with the other legend(s if literally alliance), in a more literal sense now, giving you access to both Elites at all times, sure they cost the same but you always have access. This would also add more unique flavor to alliance as you would have a choice over which elite depending upon which of viktor or archie you were on last. And who knows, maybe we could call it an invocation so that it would benefit from the invocation stuff, like "invoke elite". Anything else I say about it is semantics past this point, the main idea is I think that Energy meld should be something that has to do with the legend you aren't currently locked into. Who knows, maybe if things were like this, there would be one area and instance where Jade Winds isn't just a waft of green air off of a land fill. But anyways, as energy meld stands, it's just a cast time that is barely worth the endurance it gives me, sometimes I don't even bother because tree song/scavengers burst exist.
  25. Ignoring the edited bottom half since it isn't actually important to this discussion. Gonna focus on the top half. I am sorry friend but I must call this out. While I won't argue that reducing complexity is always a good thing, I will argue that insinuating "how hard it is/isn't to play" as reasoning for "poor balance", isn't. No offense, but I don't really care how good it makes you feel to "get something" when others "don't", especially in an MMO where everyone is supposed to be able to at least pick up a class. So to be perfectly honest, this insinuation that "it is now easier for others to play at high-level" as a bad thing, really isn't a great look and just makes you look like a giant elitist. I sincerely hope that isn't what you're trying to put across, but it's the message I am getting. TL;DR, if your take is "it is easier now and that's bad", then you just have a bad take.
