  1. Dude, I really can't be bothered arguing with you on this point anymore. The transistion from temporary content that few people had the chance to play that lasted about 2 weeks to permanent is when things like this get reviewed/updated. Could they have kept the old tonic the way it was and been fine: yes. Do I understand why they would choose to update the forms in the story: also yes.
  2. I could be mistaken but I believe the guidelines are something like can contain nudity but not in a sexual manner. Regardless of lawsuit threat potential I can see many parents not being happy with their kids being exposed to such content. Devs probably made the 'better safe than sorry' decision. GW2 doesn't do overt blood/gore or overly sexual content. At this point we're just arguing over whether the sexbots are inappropriate for that market or not and I daresay we'll just have to accept that we disagree on that point.
  3. Of course it's not the same 🙄Note the words 'parody' and 'warped'... My point is that it's blatently sexual enough to not pass a PG12 rating which is important to consider when transforming temporary content into a permanent story arc. You assume I dislike the previous models. Personally I thought the sexual element was a brilliant choice to add a level of visceral horror to the twisted abominations and display Scarlet's sadism and depravity. If this game wasn't PG12 I'd be arguing that the censorship negatively impacted the original storytelling. I'd choose the new version for the jennah's watchknights and the old version for Scarlet's Abominations. But Anet wants to sell the game to as wide an audience as possible and that unfortunately means they need to consider censoring the sexbots.
  4. Rarely comment on the forums but this thread is hilarious so I couldn't resist. Let's clarify things: We are talking about a fully nude woman in stilleto heels that becomes mad, warps itself into a parody of the missionary position, legs wide open, on its back, mouth open in a silent scream which we then proceed to beat up. The male equivalent of that is not Lord Faren in his undies. No one is censoring south sun Kasmeer. The male equivalent would be a nude male robot with a dog collar that goes insane, twists on all fours and attacks you with lasers from its comically exagerrated junk. But nope, the choice to slightly censor this is not due to trying to keep the game to a PG12 rating but rather politics/feminism gone mad...
  5. I want to see some form of LS1 return based on my own experience of story in the game. To explain: I started off playing just after HOT was released. I hadn't even looked into the game before but my rl friend wanted someone to play through the story with and I could try it for free. I enjoyed the personal story up until that ending with no boss fight. I was genuinely in the celebration at Fort Trinity thinking 'and this is when we get the surprise last attack!'. I was kind of disappointed but I'd enjoyed it as a whole. Then I find I cannot even play the next story step. All I can find is a cut scene which didn't really explain much for me. I wouldn't have minded paying for it; I don't mind paying for any content in game that isn't part of the original release but that wasn't an option. Admittedly I am a very story driven person. I like all the other aspects of the game but some kind of story to link me to a virtual world is essential. When I found out Anet couldn't even implement story correctly is was a 50/50 for me to uninstall the game. I'm glad I stayed because I enjoy the game, and really like both the expansions, but I remember that moment and I can help but wonder how many new players which help keep this game populated are driven away by the absence of LS1.
  6. Yeah Anet is pretty good in comparison with other games. I think OP is looking at this from the understanding that if you go into battle wearing boob-armour you may as well not be wearing any as far as protection goes. Therefore the armour looks a lot more unrealistic to them than it might do to others. Boobs are not muscle after all; they will squish behind a flat breastplate, and if you were going into battle as a woman that's what you would need to avoid swords being directly aimed into your heart. Obviously it's a fantasy game but the op is looking for realism in the same way you wouldn't realistically go into battle in stilettos... Not that there is anything wrong with the phalanx greaves XD! That said I find it unlikely Anet will ever implement such skins as I have a suspicion that their skins are modeled to fit around the solid non-squishy character and you would have clipping issues with the breasts literally poking through the armour... Things along the line of the ascalonian breastplate are as good as we'll ever get. (Edited for spelling)
  7. Awesome post. This shows why I have no female heavy armour knight style characters other than my charr and I really wanna make a traditional human guard. I don't have any problem with sexy options (I have some very overtly sexy characters) but there is literally no believable roleplay options for female heavy armour characters if you have the slightest understanding of how armour works. Also where is my thong for a male norn? Seriously, my rev would norn that 110% So yeah, more sexiness, for both males and females please, but also some realistic options for player choice. You know I will buy ALL the skins!
  8. I find the crafting system incredibly boring to use. Sure, I've levelled it all up, but I never get a sense of achievement or fun from crafting. Maybe if it included some sort of mini-game or personal skill instead of grind I'd enjoy it more?
  9. I finally managed to dye my griffon to something I like but for a while I found myself preferring the original skin due to this issue. If, like the op, you want an entirely white griffon you cannot just use another colour!
