  1. What team were you placed on? Dragon's Claw. What team did you expect to be placed on? Skrittsburgh. Did you change/toggle your selected WvW guild after Thursday night, even briefly? No Have you shard/world transferred recently? No. What is your default world when World Restructuring is disabled? Far Shiverpeaks For what it's worth, I had checked the "WvW Guild" Box a good while back, I think as soon as the beta was announced, but the tick was definitely still there when I pulled up the dialogue to confirm I hadn't messed up somewhere.
  2. Greetings! As far as our events are concerned, we usually run guild missions on Monday, 21:00 UK time. Other optional events may be on Wednesday/Friday at around the same time. Since a fair few of our members are working or otherwise busy during the day, we tend to have most of our activity in the evenings, or on weekends. If you have any other questions, please feel free to mail me ingame!
  3. They have added a message that appears when people are whispering a f2p account, because those are unable to reply unless you're in the same instance, or friends. I'd guess this is what you're seeing. Is the person you are talking to a f2p account? If not, then the system's probably bugged and sending you that warning on accident.
  4. What I want out of the next expac, as far as open world PvE is concerned: meta events with replayability value on the one hand, and exploration that's fun on the other. I want some maps that have a mapwide meta with mechanics that require a bit of coordination, like Auric Basin or Tangled Depths. That would be the part where I go for action, loot, and organised gameplay. But I also want zones where I can stop and find cool stuff without being f-ed over by random mobs or environmental effects every time I look away for five seconds. Somewhere along the lines of Grothmar Valley, which I love because it took a step back from the ridiculous "let's just put damage over time effects on half of the map and a bunch of trash enemies ganging up on you on the other, so you can't get from A to B or explore that funny looking tower." All the NPC conversations and random tidbits that you can actually stop and listen to add greatly to immersion, in my opinion.
  5. I heard it the first day that the map was out, afterwards it never happened again.I also can't recall I ever got hit by the supposed "artillery strikes" that I was warned about, even though I was out in the open, just gathering materials here and there. It might be a coincidence, but I think I noticed sound and artillery disappearing after they had fixed the issue where the meta was not resetting and stuck at a 0:00 timer.
  6. Oh, look, it's another bump post with extraordinary verbosity to get beyond the 15 character limit! All jokes aside - we are still looking for new people who want to join our ranks and accompany us on guild missions, dungeons, other PvE activities, or simply watch me die in strike missions (I lied about the jokes.) Feel free to drop us a whisper or an ingame mail if we sound like something you want to be part of, or if there are any other questions that need answering.
  7. If fall damage reduction in PvE is going to be removed because "we have gliders and mounts now and it's too complicated and unnecessary" (I don't see what is so complicated about "you take less fall damage, but.... OK), then there shouldn't be zones in the open world where gliders and mounts are disabled, because otherwise that argument has some holes in it. For example, JPs:Either you're going down the route that old content should be experienced "as it was designed" i.e. without mounts and gliders to help out, but in that case, we had that trait to take less fall damage, and the option was there for those who just weren't very adept at jumping.Or you're saying that fall damage reduction is obsolete because we have gliders and mounts, but then let us actually use those. Enforcing us to take 100% fall damage in some instances AND giving no option to mitigate/prevent it does not feel very balanced to me.
  8. This, so much. Now, Disclaimer: I haven't played LS4 myself yet, because PoF is such a drag to get through, I only got the important plot points spoilered at my request. But I feel like they've actually written themselves in a corner with trying to pull the plot twist of "Surprise! Killing the dragons was literally Breaking The Universe [tm]" while still clinging to that "each expansion fights a different dragon" formula. I honestly wish they'd just have gone with a different story, hell, even different NPCs to accompany us, instead of that spectacle creep we got. And YMMV but I can do without that grimdark "Oh no I'm such a horrible commander and everything I do makes it worse"-attitude that our character displays. Might be just me but I found it more annoying than adding any sort of emotional depth. Would love to see an expansion that gives us something completely different this time, maybe news about Malyck and a possible second Pale Tree? Charr homelands? Anything that doesn't require us to meet Queen Jennah?
