Complaining here likely isn't going to get the issue fixed. Only thing worth trying (which won't yield results) is to open a support ticket. You'll be asked for machine specifications, trace routes (which is a horrid way to measure latency), and ultimately get no where because it is an underlying server-side engine issue. Had this email chain with an ANet engineer directly. It ended in a 'sorry, looks like an engine problem'. And it wasn't a response of they couldn't/wouldn't do anything, but the resources weren't there to focus on this particular issue.

They are the most effective at picking off other classes that people find to be a thorn in their side: Scourges, Firebrands, and Revs If a ranger locks onto any of these 3, it doesn't matter how much reflect is thrown up or how much healing is thrown at them, they will die, and die rather quickly. But a lot of people don't see this, all they see is meta, which is why the vast majority of these "meta groups" fall to numbers half their size. As a rev main, rangers are easy to counter.

Staff ele does it better. So while there may not be enough around, it wouldn't make rangers more desirable.

Chrono is now ded in WvW. It is, at most, a pull bot and a veil bot. Pulls are situational and scrapper outclasses mesmer for stealth. Bring back shatter without clones. Bring back SoI boon application. Bring back distortion share. Make Chrono Great Again, ANet. You can do it, we believe. Start paying attention to what you're doing to classes in WvW. We hear all the time about class diversity this, class diversity that. Well, there is no diversity in WvW for mesmer. Chrono was a staple for organized zergs at one point. Then it became a couple per zerg, commander included. Now it isn't even useful for commanders to run.

Add a hammer with a significant hit on #2. Make all utility slots provide AoE boons. Switch the class to use heavy armor.

Anything a ranger can do in and for a squad, another class does it better.

PvE can certainly be enjoyable. As someone who is rank 4600+ in WvW, I also complete all maps, for instance. But PvE is repetitive -- and granted, WvW is to some extent, as well, but with the human factor, every encounter is a bit different and potentially challenging in a way PvE simply cannot be.

Tiers don't matter. Find a guild that plays your TZ and fits your play style/personality, then go from there.

They include [AS], [VII] (both "fight" guilds, don't laugh), SOAR, NUDE, and likely a few more I'm forgetting that are core CD WvW guilds. OP is correct. Can confirm. Was in 1 of 2 zergs. Got the keep cap to go with it. It was great times had by CD and FA.

Latency and server lag are not connected. You can have low latency (<150ms) with high server lag.

Xushin is back as of Memorial Day, yes. He's so skilled, he plays like he's playing against himself. Big brain stuff. Biggest brain you'll find in WvW, in fact. I don't know of a bigger brain. Not a smooth brain, either. As for Dods, he picks one ded game after another to stream. I'm not sure if he came back to this one, or not.

It takes practice with others who want to try hard. You need to understand that criticism of your play is not personal -- the cmdr wants you to git gud. To counter most of these groups will require tight coordination which is something you're not going to find in your average group and random tags. TL;DR: Git gud; don't die.
