  1. I guess because I did complete the rest of the map before this update I did not get any reward now, when I finally completing the whole thing... And I assume the mapcomp reward is required for the obsidian armor. edit* According to some people the map is not complete yet. I think its still strange that we can get the mapcomp reward via lanterns, but not via regular mapcomp ..
  2. Dear Balance Devs I just realized that you completely removed CC from Dragonslash in competitive modes. This means there won't be a need to consider competitive implications when adding CC to the remaining PvE slash options as well. So please make Dragonslash apply the CC from Unyielding Dragon baseline for PvE. Without the CC on Dragonslash, Bladesworn is just lacking in any situation that requires it (which is very common in modern gw2 encounters..). This adjustment would not break anything; rather, it would bring all three traits to a comparable power level. Thank you for reading this 😊 P.S. Since there haven't been any posts lately saying they want Daring Dragon back, I'll add this here - if properly balanced it would be a really nice change of pace and actually good design (maybe add that playstyle to the Immortal Dragon trait?)
  3. First: The changes to Flicker Step (Dragon Trigger #5) and to the Peitha relic were clearly aimed at enabling a new dps-Bladesworn build in pve, which in my opinion (with its icd) adds a really nice layer of complexity to the build, I love the idea! But it currently does not work underwater at all (the projectile gets launched and stays above the water surface!), and on land any adds/ big hitboxes / invuln hitboxes that overlap with your target, make it impossible to make sure you get the relic bonus against it. I have two suggestion to improve this: A) You make the relic either prioritize your active target, and ensure that the projectile can't be blocked by random hitboxes (sometimes even untargetable ones). B) Instead of making the relic require the projectile to hit, make it (when the projectile effect happens) apply a buff to the player that gives a general damage increase to any target for the intended duration, regardless of what the projectile does (like some other relics do)? On another note, I don't believe that torment fits with a power relic, maybe vulnerability would be a better suit? thanks for your consideration!
  4. The alacrity on bsw does not need to hit a target as it currently is, you can just spam it. Pulsing alac while converting flow would make it a lot worse...
  5. As the build currently stands, it does only provide damage and one boon. While I assume we will get staff as a support weapon to allow for healing options, that won't fix the inherent CC problem it has. The dps variant of the build relies on the CC that is baked into the grandmaster trait Unyielding Dragon to do provide any meaningful CC and the Alacrity build, which is supposed to be a support build, is now forced into the exact same playstyle but does not have access to that. My suggestion is making the CC aspect (and ONLY the CC part) of Unyielding Dragon baseline or at least adding it to Daring Dragon, so that Bladesworn will be able to provide meaningful cc as a support. Even if it only would make a dragonslash cause 250 breakbar damage instead of the 500 that you get on the full dps build (because of the shorter charging time) it would already be a big improvement over its current state. *edit for clarification: Bladesworn has 200CC on the Gunsaber on a 30s CD and another 232 on Cartridges, on a slightly higher CD (30-40) (which could be swapped out with Bulls Charge (300CC) , for about 2k dps loss). Swapping out another skill out such as Dragonspike Mine or Flow Stabilizer comes at a huge dps cost and makes for a non-viable dps build compared to other dps alacs. Now lets compare this with other alacrity specs: - On Specter you have free access to Basilisk Venom and Pistol offhand, which is easily 1000CC on a short CD - On Renegade you have Staff 5(1000) on Swap and Darkrazor (600) Which is maybe ~1500CC on most encounters on a short CD - On Chrono you can take Moa (600CC) at no loss, have sword 4 which is another 200CC and then GS5 (200) or Focus pull (200) depending on what build you play - On Mech you have Drop Down (232), Rocket Punch(100), a weapon CC(232), Force Signet(150) and you could even swap out stuff for more CC - Condi Tempest is the only Build that does have similar CC, but at the same time that build provides Protection, Fury and Might.. All the Builds mentioned above do offer more CC or more utility while providing alacrity and similar damage output at the same time. Little CC and alacrity is all Bladesworn has (and we would have to trade that CC +dmg for a bit of might with FGJ lol). - I didn't count Druid because that build does not exist yet, but if we go based on the old build its gonna have a lot of CC capability too. - Willbender from what I understand will still get changes - Scourge Alac will still get changes too Thanks for reading
  6. Apparently, this bug has existed since the instability of Vengeance was introduced, and I am certain it has been reported before, I hope you can fix this, as it keeps getting worse. As your developers continue to introduce more and more Aegis to the professions (which I assume is supposed to be a positive change for players), it becomes increasingly frustrating to play around Vengeance due to the bug that makes it a negative experience instead. Bug description: The fractal instability of Vengeance applies Weakness to the player when blocking an attack with the boon Aegis, which is not intended. Additionally, it unintentionally applies Weakness to the player if they use up a stack of stability. This bug is particularly harmful for players who play the Bladesworn specialization, as they rely on Aegis to survive in exchange for not being able to move. With this instability active, it becomes a 50-50 gamble whether the Bladesworn's profession mechanic even works, making it even more frustrating. With the recent Tuesday patch, you continue to add more passive Aegis to Bladesworn, making the problem even worse.
  7. If we will be able to use our legendary gear on all our characters we need a way to quickly move our infusions between them - we already have a button on each gear template that says "unequip all items" - a simple solution would be to add another one that says "unequip all infusions from legendary gear" - that sould save us 36+ clicks or even more if we have to remove the infusions from more than one template.Maybe there could even be a way to share infusions that are being used in legendary equipment?
  8. After playing some weeks with the new instabs I came to the conclusion that Siren's Reef and the new instabilities (with the exception of Slippery slope because that makes some skills unusable) are perfectly fine as they are. If you cannot handle the T4 instabs, go do it with your team on T3 (instead of just not doing it) - there are difficulty tiers for a reason...I did it twice today, one time with a completely unoptimized pug (we did not even have booncoverage and wiped a single time) and the other time with a powerfb+ ren healer comp and we did not wipe at all.
  9. While I can see why some people prefer "immersive" rp-names, I greatly enjoy naming my characters after game-related stuff and honestly most of those names took me hours, days or weeks to find/settle on.In my opinion names are a big and important part of the fashion wars meta. Some examples:Fractal Spoon - Sylvari Mesmer (my main fractal character from before HoT-times, collecting fractal spoons was something I and many others greatly enjoyed back when there were no broken ones)Visual Noise - Sylvari Mirage (I think there is no spec that can create a bigger visual mess than a mirage)Underwater Content - Sylvari Holosmith (my second main character, sadly I barely played it since the mesmer-phantasm rework - I greatly enjoy underwater content and engi was always a strong underwater spec)Revive Orb - Asura Scrapper (the name dates back to the days when scrapper was meta in pvp and is quite self explanatory)Harvesting Sickle - Asura Thief (before we got mounts this was my go-to harvesting character)Racial Elite Skill - Human Thief (this one dates back to the condi-daredevil era; Avatar of Melandru with its pulsing immobilize was a strong damage increase on thief.)Damage Increase - Sylvari Elementalist (despite having been an elementalist main for the first quarter of my overall gw2-playtime I still cannot handle how broken eles were in the past)Shrouded Thingy - Asura Necromancer (okay this is an exception, but she is a cute little asura)Fractal Chopsticks - Revenant (credit for that goes to a stranger that suggested it during a fractal pug, shortly after the HoT announcement)
  10. Also something to consider: Depending on the burst of your spec, you will end up with a higher number if you test it on a 1mil golem vs a 4mil one.
  11. Also I know many "veteran" people that do not play GW2 atm, since there is no new content. Will probably change if Anet decides to introduce new frac CMs / Raids.
  12. Sorry but a well played Weaver (supported by its team) is godmode for fractals, and with how Weaver balance is being handled, I don't see how this can change. As other people already mentioned, they have so many modifiers, that they can kill/phase bosses even before your condi comp reaches its damage peak. And ads just die due to massive cleave damage. ^This is optimal as soon as people know the fractal and its phases - when there is a new release and people do not know the encounter, other comps might pull ahead, since other comps are not punished as hard for making errors. This "optimal comp" will only change if they release fractals that are such aoe/cc fiestas that there is no way to pull off weaver rotations (or absolutely require condition damage). And since the skill requirement for GW2 content is rather low and they don't primarily cater towards hardcore players, I don't see this happen.
