I play in the evening (Australian time) mostly which is off-peak US time. I did some of those bastion mastery point achievements in the last couple of weeks without too many problems. Just tag up or call out on whatever event you need completed and people will come to help.

I deleted a batch of the WV skins last night. The way I do it is type out the first one and CTRL-C copy the string. On subsequent ones I CTRL-V paste the string and just change the weapon name part. Saves a lot of time but agreed with already unlocked skins a simple confirmation request before deleting should be enough.

Daily/lengedary mats are a bad decision
jamesg.7128 replied to Jumpin Lumpix.6108's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
Been playing since release and I've bought both starter kits and don't feel it devalues the 5 legs I've made so far. I already had 3 of the legs in the first kit and Hope instead of Quip so don't need a leg pistol but I will pick Quip anyway for the skins but mainly for the gifts which will save me gold for the legs I'm currently making. From kit 2 I would pick either Moot or Predator as I don't currently have legs of either weapon type. Probably Predator as REALLY don't like the Moot. If anything, as a veteran I feel this more as a convenience so I can spend more time actually playing for fun rather than grinding for mats or gold. -
Wizards Vault Developer Article

Not at all, I said "seems to be left open". That it "must avoid touching this core loop" does not mean there can't be some kind of monetisation and the full sentence can interpreted as though it's been considered. I have no idea what it might be but they didn't categorically rule it out. -
Hi gamers, came across this article today which is an interesting read - https://www.gamedeveloper.com/production/deep-dive-reimagining-the-battle-pass-to-maximize-enjoyment-in-guild-wars-2 Some interesting points 1. Daily and weekly tasks are chosen from a "deck" that gets reshuffled when empty 2. No monetisation now but seems to be left open to some kind of "potential future monetization in this feature" 3. designed such that players can achieve the same level of progress as the old system "by logging in around 40% less frequently" 4. designed to encourage spending of reward currency "rather than hoarding"

Skins/colors for mechs and ranger pets [Merged]
jamesg.7128 replied to Dadefyl.1908's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
Playing Mechanist a lot, I've always thought that at the very least the 3 arm types should be colour coded to make it more obvious which is which. They already change the arm looks so adding some small colour splashes would be good. Like red for power, blue for support and yellow for condi or whatever. -

This one is actually pretty easy. You can even skip large parts of it with some creative jumping. -

I had one player on my team LITERALLY asleep. As in using the sleep emote in the middle of the field and doing nothing the whole game. I get it that people are being forced into playing to get the daily done (until we get the extra daily this week supposedly) but really... -

My first attempt found it bugged at the necro guy. People yelling for everyone to leave to try to get it reset. People getting angry they wouldn't be able to finish the daily. I tried again a few hours later and managed to get it done but all the way through people yelling to slow down to make sure it didn't bug out. Not a good experience. Seriously Anet, weekly is 6/8. Why is daily mandatory 3/3 with no choice. It really needs to change or you will lose a lot of the good will a new expansion brings (if you haven't already). The rest of the vault system is pretty good imo, except I'd like to preview armour etc before buying. -

jamesg.7128 replied to Manasa Devi.7958's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
I like the vault concept and the rewards in it, but dislike the mandatory and randomly assigned 3 selections that Anet made for me. I would prefer to select 3 from more choices. If the concern is to not have people earn too much AA per day then fine, just disable the rest on the list once 3 are completed. It can't be that hard to design, and this new system with lack of choice is a major downgrade of the old more flexible system. -
I got this on first login when I only had an hour or so to play so couldn't finish it. Why would you give this as a first up daily before someone has started the means to complete it? This is why the current system of forcing people to complete only the GIVEN dailies is a bad implementation. More choice is always better.

No choice is not "playing how you want". -

The only problem I have with the new system is that the dailies are no longer selected but randomly assigned and you must do all 3. If you had to 3 out of 5 it would be a very good system. The rewards you can get for the AA are fine imo, it's just that lack of choice that sux. -
Math comparing old and new dailys
jamesg.7128 replied to sos.6510's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
Yes, this is my only criticism as well. I logged in yesterday and for dailies I was given 10 salvages, break an enemy breakbar, and do a rift event. I didn't have time to do all those 3. If there had been another choice or two I might have made it but the point is, that this design goes against the "play as you want" design that has been promoted since launch. Not having a choice is not playing as you want. Please Anet, instead of making it 3/3 randomly chosen tasks, make it 3/5 (or I'd settle for 3/4) so that we have that choice again. Actually, I just had another idea. Another option could be a re-roll button that you can use once to roll another set of dailies. Not as good as choosing, but I'd be ok with that too.
