  1. Until they fix the aged UI, yeah.. they should probably leave allied targeting out of the game. It's just a total mess in PvE.
  2. Agreed... The aged UI is definitely holding people back at this point. We're getting to the point where we might need a WoW style bossmod or something like that.
  3. Where does it say that? The first post up top here says "When Legendary relics become available, players who have already crafted at least one Legendary rune will be granted a Legendary relic for free." Doesn't mention prior to Soto.
  4. I use one of the Azeron controllers. Works great for me. Awesome for MMOs that need a lot of buttons. Or is it you just prefer controllers with fewer buttons? https://www.azeron.eu
  5. I agree. In that video of the turtles on the DE meta, it was slower than if they hadn't used turtles at all. They succeeded, but it was slow. Using turtles was just a fun gimmick. But it certainly isn't something game-breaking that everyone will suddenly do. It wasn't worth the nerf.
  6. I wasn't part of that. 😛 But yeah.. as soon as I saw that youtube vid of the turtle DE meta, I foresaw this happening. And as it was foretold, so it happened. I can work with 1 second slam if you have pilot booster 3. Even 2 second. But 4... zero reduction at all? I'm not on board with that.

  8. Ok, I get that maybe you didn't like that turtle slam had zero cooldown at all. Fine. But putting it back to 4 seconds, what even is the point of investing in Turtle Pilot Booster 3 now? To fly a couple seconds longer? Not enough. You make slam on Turtle Pilot Booster 3 give 40% of an ammo per slam.. but locking that behind a 4 second slam cooldown renders that ammo regen pretty much meaningless. Here are some options to make it workable: For Turtle Pilot Booster 1, 2 and 3 reduce the cooldown from 4 seconds to 3, 2, 1 for each level of booster. If you really want to give slam meaningful ammo regen with Pilot Booster, then increase both the damage the 4 second slam does, and increase the ammo regen from 40% to something higher. One of the above 2 options would make it more worth using. Otherwise, we can only assume that the sensory array and service chip modules are only there as fluff, and not designed to provide anything really meaningful. Just a carrot to chase.
  9. With Deadeye scepter, I notice that more often than not, unless it's REALLY flat ground, when I use the Malicious Shadowsquall skill I just get "Obstructed" spam and not one of them hits. So probably a kink or two there to work out.
  10. I would accept even a 1 second cooldown. Maybe 2, max.. reluctantly. But 4? Like, very little reason to get that pilot booster now. Just to fly a bit further. if I want that, I'll just hop on my skyscale. No real reason to even use turtle now.

Well, I just tested.. 4 second cooldown between slams. They took out the cooldown reduction entirely. 😞 What is even the point of getting the turtle pilot booster now? Turtles have just been relegated to the scrap heap. Extremely disappointed with this nerf. I was enjoying the turtle as my favourite mount. All good things come to an end, apparently.

  13. In the table that shows the Skyscale mastery updates, for one of the masteries it mentions "Flying mounts can use updrafts". So.. just curious. Is a turtle considered a "flying" mount? With Turtle Pilot Booster 3 coupled with Mount Energy Booster 3, I can fly some pretty long distances. One dude who was riding shotgun told me "Man.. this thing can fly further than my griffon..."

  15. I see a few people here being very pessimistic about this road plan. To me, the way they explained it, it sounds like the most optimal way to proceed. And for those complaining about Anet making money from expansions as opposed to living world, they still charge gems for access to those living worlds if you missed them when they were released. So going forward, if people miss new content they don't need to worry about paying gems. And they said as the expansion are more frequent and smaller, that the cost would be "slightly reduced". I'm hoping the price reduction is closer to 50%, but unfortunately I doubt that's very realistic. So any bone I'd have to pick with this new proposed release system would be that the price of expansions might not be reduced sufficiently to my liking. But other than that, I am extremely excited that new content including new maps and metas will be forthcoming on a fairly frequent basis. The other question I have is, where does new elite specializations fit into their release schedules? Before, every expansion includes new elite specs. With more frequent expansions, I doubt we'll be getting new elite specs every time. So what would be the release schedule on those going forward?
  16. Ok, that makes sense about why some were confused. But it's weird, I'm on default settings and didn't format anything. So if people can't see stuff on default settings, then Anet has to pay attention to their forum message formats.
  17. Praise frikken' Joko! I been waiting 10 years for this simple thing! Next: Please show stats on the tooltips for named items or recipes, or food, etc. Right now, I just look at them and guess. Do I feel lucky? Do I want to eat that food? Will it overwrite my magic find buff with something different? Do I want that recipe? No idea what stats it provides unless I wiki it, then follow a link within the wiki page to the actual item it makes so I can see what the frikken' stats are, as even the wiki page for it doesn't show what the stats are.
  18. There is a part of ambient dialogue between Ranoah Grindsteel and Vishen Steelshot in Drizzlewood. Do I have a dirty mind when I saw this, or was the dev inserting a bit of innuendo? Either way, I found it hilarious. Dunno if it was just because it was really late at night and my mind was fried.
  19. Confirmed, previewing first seems to avoid the client crashing for me.
  20. It crashed my client all the time, too.. but I swapped skin, and then went back and it worked fine. Maybe you needed to "reset" it by selecting a different skin, then it starts working properly again. Edit: When I tried again the next day, it crashed again. So I had to change skin, then swap back to the skin that crashed me (Luminous Bastion), and it worked again. I guess until I log.
