This birthday is a bit of a let down.....I'd have settled for another title...ah well

Some of us who got the celebration cap at launch do quite understand the frustration....nothing is really sacred in a game I suppose.

Well there goes that. Went in game took hat off charr and asura. At least I still have my wings of the sunless. The 10 yr title makes losing the hat less painful to be sure. And btw if anyone had lost the hat because of wardrobe change they needed only submit a ticket and it was replaced. Why not just rename the hat, that way all players might be satisfied. I mean you just had to be there.....

Not a fan of the fishing either try as I might I just can't get into it. More power to others though especially if it's rewarding for them.

How about adding a Kuun to the new xpac? Definitely a must have for GW1 vets.

That's not true, I remember Josh Foreman saying that the dev team would love to revisit Cantha and that we should keep asking for it. No they said We wouldn't be going back to Cantha (something about the asian market/NCSoft iirc). They did say they would love to revisit as well. It would be nice after 6 years they sorted whatever the problem was and take us back. But it was a Big NO then. Factions was and is my fave campaign out of the 3, EoTN is the only xpac of GW1 so doesn't really count. I'd love to see Cantha back as well.

Anet made it clear at launch Cantha will not be a factor in GW2. We all asked repeatedly in the beginning and always got the same reply. Would be gr8 to have but I'd say it's still going to be a big NO.

It was an item for the first 2 weeks of the game to celebrate the launch. Re-releasing it would kind of be a slap in the face of those who were actually there to get it. And it's called (Celebration Hat) :) Hopefully ANET will leave it as is with no return.

Errm .. I think you might be confusing GW2 with one its competitors there.... can't remember travelling to Tamriel from Lions Arch... could be kinda cool tho :) As for wanting to see the game covered in scantily clad pixels.. maybe folks just need to go rent a video and take the evening off gaming. LOL brilliant!

Just like with LS1 they have stated they wont be going back there. They said this back at launch as well. Cantha is sadly lost to us pretty much unless we go play GW1. I wouldn't want to see LS1 again but Cantha will always be welcome.

What does it matter in a game?

I'd be curious to see Cantha 250 years later definately. I started in Proph beta and quit shortly after ob for awhile. When they released Factions I came back and was hooked. My fave campaign to date ;)
