  1. I use raid quickness scrapper for everything and survive in all openworld meta but you can change gear from berserker to Marauder for more hp. Eventhough the barrier is nerfed but still very strong. It can easily maitain scholar's rune 6th effect and I usually among top 5 dps in most meta. Hammer, imo, is the best weapon in gw2. It offers you dodge, block, barrier, cc, lightning field, whirl and leaper finisher, projectile reflect, vulnerability and might. With 2 normal dodge and hamer 3 and 4, you can pretty much survive most deadly attacks in all metas. Superspeed makes your positioning a lot faster.   2. Not only the Remote Charge do less to no dmg to structures, but the Granade Shot (tha charr tank skill #2) also do less to no dmg to the Ruinbringer shields'. I don't think the siege equipment will be more useful, the flame ram has very long cooldown, other siege equipements are too expensive and mostly do dmg to mobs not the structures, and you have keep re-placing them as you move into the base. Killing mobs is a lot faster than using siege equipment.
  3. I check this forum in 2021 and the drop rate is still the same. I have done 3 sucessful event and still did not obtain the Jade Core. I wish I would not have to do it 6 tries like the above.
  4. PoF HPs are easier to get than HoT ones, you get 10 points for each HP. You can get full Elite spec within a couple of hours.
  5. Mechanist needs a serious rework. Lore wise, it is super cool and I love it but sacrifing a whole traitline and all toobelt skills for a single golem does not worth. Engineer do not have wepaon swap with toolbelt being removed, a traitline heavily tied with golem and having low synergy within and with other trailines making Mechanist feels so limiting when playing.

  7. During one of my attempts, we made sure we have enough ppl to go on each platform and we managed to win second, third, and fourth round but we failed because of empty platforms. I think they should add scheduled public server like Dragonstorm where more than 50 ppl can join so that way it is easier for casual players.
  8. I saw you've added Guardian to your choice so I will pick guardian. You are good at everything. Meta in every game modes. You have almost all boons available (except alacrity), aegis, decent heal, very good at both condi and power dps (not sure about the latest update but I think it is still very good). Anyways, try to play all classes untill you get all elite specialisations because most of them totally change the whole mood and feel of the class. GW2 is very alt friendly. I started with warrior > mesmer (mirage) > ranger > necro > guardian > thief > ele > rev and engineer is the last because everyone says he is a mess don't touch him but now I main engineer both holo and scrapper are super fun to me. Just keep playing until you find the right one.
  9. You can play both power herald and ren. For herald, just go sword/sword with shiro+glint. Herald offers perma might, fury and swiftness which are really good for open world. For ren, you can go sword/sword and shortbow with shiro + kalla. Shortbow + impossible odd is op in killing trash mobs. You move fast. You kill fast from range.
  10. TBH, it's really difficult to get good sustain without sacrifying dmg on holosmith but I have been able to survive better with marauder + diviner gears with alchemy trait line. I also found that using action camera on holo help with my survivability a lot (like a lot lot lot) because I have to avoid dmg and move all the time This is what I've been using and successful for now.gw2skills.net/editor/?PegAw6lFwiYVMJWKWeT5vUA-zRZYBRDIGuA4g8LjALgYTA1mlImBA-epros: 2589 dmg, 100% crit within 300 range and fury, 60% boon duration, tons of boons, tons of dmg reduction, 18k hpcons: lack condi cleanse (you can change sigil or switch to Prismatic Converter but lose dmg reduction or use healing turret), lack stab (try using elixir u), lack stun break (use spectrum shield or elixir u), really bad range dmg (cannt fix) This key is to maintain protection (-33% dmg reduction) as long as possible together with Light Density Amplifier (-15% dmg reduction on photon mode) and Iron Blooded (at least -8% dmg reduction depending on boons you have), with 56% dmg reduction in photon mode you should be tanky enough to tank most minor dmg just avoid the big ones. Feel free to switch to any heal/utility/elite skills depending on situations but make sure you have at least 1 stun break or stability source. Try to use combo field and finisher scrapper has. Healing turret for condi clease and burst heal.Elixir H synergizes better on tankier build.A.E.D if you know when boss will hit hard.Rocket boost for mobility.Personal Battering ram for more cc.Tool kit skill 5 for 1,200 range pull.Flamethrower for tagging. (I don't reccommend it for dps because it is really bad)Granade kit for range if you dont like mortar kit or have a free utility slot.Throw mine for boon rip.Elixir B for offensive boons.Purge gyro for condi clease.Sneak gyro for super long stealth on short cooldown, combo sneak gyro with hammer skill 3 for longer stealth. (I use it to consume hp like Balthazar and loot chests)Mortat kit for range and cc and useful combo field.Supply Turret if you know you will fight in the same location for a while like death branded shatterer and other big meta events.
  12. +1 to staff/staff mirage. Super newby friendly build, purple butterflies, portal for jp lovers, etc.
  13. You should try sword/shield holosmith so much fun being in melee, visually stunning and plenty of tools to play with.
  14. I posted this in the other discussion and just saw yours so I want to share my go-to build. I use pistol/pistol deadeye to do everything, ow events, story, soloing champion, node farming etc.To solo champion I use, critical strike 3-2-3, trickery 3-1-2, deadeye 1-3-1 and equip sword/pistol on the other weapon set in case some champs reflect projectile.To tag mobs in ow events I use, critical strike 3-3-3, trickery 3-1-2, deadeye 2-2-2 with shortbow for tagging and mobility.For gear, I use berserker armor, marauder trinkets, eagle runes, force and generosity sigil since my build lacks condi cleanse.With this set up, you will have almost 100% crit chance with signet of agility and 90% hp and about 223% crit dmg.For heal skill I switch between heal signet and withdraw. I switch utility skills a lot depending on situation but I mostly use assasin and agility signet. The last slot depends on what is needed for each fight like stun break, cc, dps or utility like stealth, portal and 1200-ranged pull. For elite skill I switch between thieves guild and dagger storm. It has ranged, decent dmg, pretty good sustain, cc and other nice utilities like stealth, portal and mobility with shortbow 5.
