This is just for communication and why these specific words? I don't know the origin, just what they mean. I assume each language have his own code (if not several). 😞

Yep i'm french but no, most people i know don't understand english at all ^^ (pretty common in France). I was probably not specific enough, so i will try to be clearer. Let's just talk about french community (maybe it's not the same for german and spanish ones). When i say "you can still follow a raid in vocal because a lot of calls are already in english", it's just mean that, nothing more. We (french) use a lot of english words in vocal for fights like bomb, shade, dps, heal, spike, stab, gyro (for inge stealth), cc/control, pull/grab. So people who understand a bit of english can follow a french lead that lead in french because of that and a french can follow an english lead even with no understanding of english. The 2 main issues in both cases would probably be : - the accents - the direction calls because we use french words for that (left=gauche, right=droite, in front=en avant/devant, back=arrière) To develop the main point of this thread, the language is totally a issue for the communication in map chat, because abbreviations and acronyms can be really differents between language/courntry communities. So the scouting can be really difficult. For example, in french, inner = P2 and outer = P1 and just that can already bring a lot of misunderstandings, and delay reactions 😞 .

@Chichimec.9364 @Malus.2184 The language can totally be an issue in EU, but usually you can still follow a raid in vocal because a lot of calls are already in english. Usually you just need some specific words in the language you don't know to understand general moves ( like "right/left", "push/back") and for that you can ask in squad (there is often few people that understand english and can answer you). Of course, you won't understand all the side talks but that's okay 😉

@Nyghtslave.6152 Or/and Anet should better explain it directly In Game before the beta, so the players like you (or the ones who don't check forum and news) can be informed about it.

To be fair, some Raids are easier and less dps checks than this meta. Also @Cynder.2509, you remember Serpents's Ire? It is challenging. Did it force the players to improve? Spoiler : no and nobody run it (some ppl don't even know it)

I think the issue at the moment is more the HP (or the timer) because the boss is a big dps check even if you succeed at the mecanics and cc (ppl are pretty good at it from what i saw but event failed anyways). For example, yesterday, Teapots did this with optimised squad (meta builds, opti sub-groups + boon pre stack before each burn phases) and with voice com to coordinate. There was 40 seconds left on timer... So i think it's fair to say it's overtuned atm ^^ (but i don't want it to be nerfed to the ground either)

Well, that's the whole point of Elite specializations, to change the ways of playing. And, if you want the "1 class = 1 role", you're not in the good MMO.

At the moment, if you take a cheesy comp with 3 condi scourge + 1 alac mirage (ren works too) + 1 HFb, the CMs +t4 run is ez pz (and require less skill than before). We tested it with guildies the other day and now with the changes on torment and condi exposed, it is chocking how easy it becames (kinda sad imo). The cm100 boss just melt, cc the sorrows? no need, just epi on the boss + (bonus) ton of barrier for ppl (idem on Ark, just epi, no need to go on anomaly)

And, this Anet's quote says nothing about the absence or not of microtransactions (already explained in this very thread :p). Reminder : "there is no gem or gold cost to access or use" templates system, and there is still 3 layers of microtransactions associated to it.
