  1. Powerful and boring. You can instantly feel the power creep, but you can also notice the lose of control right away. It really feels like I have to invest a complete elite specialization just to get a Ranger with way fewer pets. Sorry I'm not being very constructive with the criticism, I just hoped for ANYTHING but more AI stuff for my main class. So sad.
  2. Asuran tech and furniture as decorations for the Guild Hall. Just let me make my laboratory already!
  3. The simple point of variety outright defeats any pretension of self declared realism, IMO. Is way more important to offer variety than to respect some narrow paradigm that doesn't even fit with everyone's. Would I use the bikini mail on my characters? Nor very probable.Would I like to have it added to the game? Yes, of course.Would I prefer to have an alternative to the actual underwear atrocities? Yes.
  4. Character Selection Screen needs a TON of work. Just to be able to see the feet of my characters would make me happy...
  5. All species have some relevant characteristic to them. If the wings, masks, colors and mood in the end aren't necessary, then Anet will be shooting themselves in the feet. They would need to create a huge amount of new lore that would thoroughly change what Largos currently are. This could be great, no doubt, but is a heavy risk: what guarantees people would still like them after such a heavy makeover? I'm not "projecting a stereotype over them", because they, until now, are nothing more than that.I could say you are the one "projecting your wishes" on them. I could do it too, but it should be no more than speculation, and no base to create an effective new playable race. TLDR: To make Largos a playable race, you would have to remove most of what we identify them with, create everything anew, and hope people will still like them. Too many IFs, too many risks. Super bad move, IMHO. About the Tengu: They are far superior to every other species in Tyria for making a playable race. They have a distinct appearance, visual and cultural variety, a decently deep lore, their own 3d model, a defined starter zone, compatibility with the current armor system, big potential for gemstore monetization, don't depend on an specific environment, etc. Ideal material. About the Norn: Right now they are, in fact, just oversized humans. No wonder they are considered the weakest and less valuable of the current species (If you doubt my words, you can look at the polls). I don't think Anet would want to make another race with the same flaws as the Norn.
  6. Mind writing them out? I've done it many times, and I'm tired, so please forgive me if I just quote myself. Anet have shown in their previous playable race designs to be far superior and more committed to make truly unique, detailed and believable species than almost any other MMO. Largos conflicts with this philosophy from the beginning, because they have exactly the same base as humans, and nothing to differentiate them except very superficial things that don't play well with the rest of the game: Largos need to be aquatic to be Largos. But 90% of the game happen to be in dry earth.Largos need masks to be Largos. But masks don't allow facial expressions, and conflict with headgear.Largos needs back fins to be Largos. But back fins conflict with backpacks.Largos need white hair to be Largos. But white hair conflicts with free customization.Largos need pale skin to be Largos. But pale skin also conflicts with free customization.Largos need to be edgy to be Largos. But to be edgy conflicts with 80% of fashion wars and mmo culture.Largos need to be mysterious to be Largos. But to be mysterious conflicts with being the protagonist of a cheesy mmo.Largos need to be distinct from other races to be Largos. But making them playable makes them just humans with pointy ears. Most of these are just cosmetic. But so are Largos, because they are nothing more than a cool but very shallow cliché, with very little to offer and many elements that conflict directly with playability and, even worse, with monetization.
  7. The game restarted me 3 times on the first mission from the current EP 4, because I was exploring ways to best move the people around the rooms. The warnings lasted as long as half second, then insta-restart.SUPER ANNOYING, please improve it, Anet.
  8. The removal of the mandatory backpacks was HUGE. It was an amazing and super well received change from Anet. However, it would be almost as much amazing if they completed now such work by adding the old skins into the wardrobe. Please do!
  9. So, a fully turret centered engie. No, please. PLEASE NO!
  10. I've said many times, and I would say it again: HoT as a whole, and its maps specially, were revolutionary for all the MMORPG genre. Verdant Brink is the map I have enjoyed the most, in any game, ever.
  11. There are so many reasons playable Largos are a terrible idea.
  12. Please don't use elite specs to "solve" problems with core professions. Look at core Engie and Scrapper, see how much good Holo (Created to solve the problem of kits being too relevant and too hard) has done to them. Anet should FIRST fix the base problems, THEN create specs to make the profession more diverse.
  13. Engie rifle needs a little buff to ranged dps (aka, auto). Aside from that, it is an amazing tool that do a lot of things in a really fun way. One of the best weapons in the game, fun wise, and my personal favorite, without any doubt.
  14. It has a very weak relation: the repair thing. IMO it could be kept or not, IMO toolkit doesn't need turrets to shine, and turrets should be able to act in a more independent way. Also I forgot the Med Kit, which should match better with Inventions, so maybe the turrets can become a "core" specific kit?I don't know.
  15. IMO, one kit per traitline is good. You can get all of them if you want, from f1 to f5, but to get the optimal version, you have to take the corresponding traitline. Alchemy -> Elixir Gun KitFirearms -> Flamethrower KitTools -> Tool KitInventions -> Turret Kit (All the utility turrets became a single kit, plus a melee auto that repairs like current toolkit auto)Explosives -> Demolition Kit (Grenades+Bomb kits get fused, auto is melee bomb, the rest are ground targeted)Scrapper -> Gyro Kit (Only on F5)Holosmith -> Photon Forge Kit (Only on F5)
  16. There is a healthy weight range. It is not a specific number, but being obese means you are way over the upper end of it, and into the area were many diseases become truly dangerous for your life. Fashion doesn't have anything to do there, except maybe helping to motivate some people to eat in a healthier way. Emphasis on SOME. I would love to care for looks, maybe it could help me to actually follow a diet and work out a little. Vain people seems to be healthier...
  17. IMO they should bring back the wall reflect and smoke utilities as solid, non rng skills.
  18. "Dudes, are you afk?" "Should I report you?"If they answer, they are ok. If they not, they may be truly not there, and your report would be on stronger grounds.Of course, you are not a GM, so you asking anything doesn't means they HAVE to say anything.
  19. IMHO, characters should only die in 3 situations: Suddenly and unexpectedly when part of a multi-protagonist story with serious and realistic gray morality tone, to make clear the basic and powerful "anyone can die here" that make such stories so good.Contemplatively, within an intimist story where the characters struggle to grow internally, with death marking the end of their struggle, be it as a final step towards their true self, or as an impossible to overcome, tragic, final obstacle in the path of salvation. As part of a very meaningful action initiated by the character itself. Think of heroes sacrificing their lives for the greater good, villains falling victims of their own evil desires, anti-heroes choosing to accept a fitting destiny, or a designed example-person making a mistake extremely relevant to the story.Guild Wars 2 is not a multi-protagonist story, and only allows subtle dashes of gray, so the first option is totally out. The characters aren't really multidimensional either, so an "introspective" death is not going to work. This leaves the third, more archetypal death. So, please, Anet, don't kill characters without a MEANINGFUL action initiated by THEM. Also, please don't kill anybody, (good, bad or a bit of both) without HUGE consequences for EVERYONE.
  20. I'm just going to copy the prediction I posted on the thread about the "What New Elite Spec to Expect for 3rd Expac"( https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/42859/guess-what-new-specialization-your-profession-will-get )I'd say we have a 50/50 chance of getting this:
  21. I'm all for new and different, as long as it is coherent. But Elves are none of these.
