  1. He is the perfect choice and who I plan to choose.
  2. Since I see so many players asking for more content like this, I have a pretty big concern. As much as Anet is being inclusive, I'm aro/ace and so are my GW2 characters. I didn't want to play this update until I heard there was a platonic option because I don't want to be forced into romance and flirting. I get enough of the "you aren't human if you don't want romance and sex" in real life and I sure don't need it in my pretendy fun time too. Can I ask for a platonic partner/friendship option if this is going to be a constant thing? And can that be pretty clearly pointed out which one it is?
  3. They don't care about this. I've been asking for a year for the reduction of visual noise to aid disabled players or at least a slider. I just get laughed at and/or ignored while they keep piling on more.
  4. All of them. I was so irritated no mesmers were porting and so frustrated with the currency grind that I just went "kitten it", crafted them all, and skipped the entire thing. I normally love exploration (but hate JPS) however at that point I was just annoyed with the entire quest and couldn't waste more time.
  5. Totals so far: Istan: Took an hour and a half to get 250 by doing hearts on alts.Sandswept: 2 1/2 days to get 250, drops were absolutely awful.Jahai: At 120 currently after 1 day of farming/hearts. Seems to depend entirely on finding a map with people doing events.Kourna: Haven't startedDragonfall: At 170 from casually doing events since episode drop.Thunderhead: At 70 from a day of farming hearts and nodes.
  6. Can we not make it mandatory though? I had a great time playing hide and seek. Catch? Not so much since I had to beg someone to do it for me since my disabled tail lacks the reflexes to move fast. But I'd love to play hide and seek or games that required my brain. Just.. not mandatory.
  7. There IS an account limit on some nodes. I don't mine S4 ones too often but I know that there's a limit on almost every S3 one aside from berries. There is NO limit on how many times you can do a heart and grab the currency reward from the vendor. Not yet anyhow.
  8. Had to add this bit. 25 per character, per heart, per day for Domain of Istan. this is not so bad. Why is the rest limited to 5 per?! What were you thinking, ANet?! My mind is so numb for all this ridiculousness. Whoever came up with all this damned ideas needs to be seriously fired, without severance or any other benefit. I used to get people to play this game. I used to convince my friends to buy the game and play it. I have been playing GW since the first game, read every novel. But now I am just speechless. I am telling my friends to stay away. ANet is really destroying a game that was really good when it began. But looks like ANet lost its way. Sadly, I agree on the currency. Istan was easy enough and reasonable. Even if I didn't have alts, it wouldn't be too long until I would have the needed currency just from hearts and the meta. The other maps can be mind numbing to farm and yield so little for the effort. I was still willing to do it with all my alts but.... Now imagine how I feel, having gone through all this grinding and timegating to hit a "no you don't get your Skyscale" because of a stupid catch game. This was poorly implemented in every way.
  9. Also... Warning my disabled peers - this takes reflexes. They expect you to play catch with this thing and not miss once or you have to start all over. I'm not sure I can do it. Thanks Anet.
  10. Can't post in the other thread because it closed but... There are no mesmers porting the JPs for Troublesome Skyscales. None. Every map I've gone too, no ports. Nada. They're all off grinding the S4 currency we had sprung on us. So I'm glad I have the gold but irritated I have to waste it this way.
  11. You're not. I had more than enough of each currency as well, because I'm not the kind of person to spend everything I've got. I save up 1 or 2 stacks of most materials just in case I need them for future content. I also craft timegated items on a daily basis for the same reason, so I'm using my 2 stacks of charged quartz crystals now to earn some easy money by selling grow lamps and skyscale treats. I don't understand where this "I need to be told beforehand what to do" thing comes from, though. Just like any other collection in the game we find out what we need to do once it's released/unlocked. I don't believe it's ever been a thing where game companies release specifics of content before it's released. A general idea, maybe, but detailed information on all the things we need to do and spend? Nope. If anything, they would've told us that it's a series of collections, give a few general examples of the things we need to do, but that's it. We are not owed content information before content is released. It's a courtesy. Let me explain. Some of us don't consider GW2 a job and we don't have the time to endlessly grind away at things. Some of us, like myself, have disabilities where certain types of content just isn't possible to complete. Others don't want to do that content. It's nice to know before wading into any sort of epic quest type thing exactly what's going to be required, you know, so people can judge if it's #1 worth the time, #2 something they can do, and #3 if they can access everything they need to complete it. We knew everything that had to be done for Warclaw and Griffon. People made the choice of if it was worth it. Skyscale? It was purposely hidden from us. I honestly see no issue with putting all the steps of a very grindy, very timegated quest out there so players can go "Oh I can't do that so I won't start it" or "Oh, I can plan for that then". Would have been nice to know about the currency on Day One. Would have been nice to know about the quartz on Day One. Would have been nice to know just how big and timegated this was in Day One. FFS, I can look up exactly what I need to do to make any Legendary in the entire game, why should this be different? I'm real sure if people were not constantly surprised by timegates inside of timegates and materials that have to be grinded out, half the complaints would have died off because it would have been in the open - not some sadistic secret.
  12. I explained earlier how: first you spend them on everything there is to acquire on the map (armor sets, weapons skins, recipes, minis, tonics), then you go, "Finally! I am done here for good," and start consuming the currency from thereon. See? Easily not saved up. ;) This. I started consuming all mine a few months ago because the things I didn't have required magic, NOT currency, and since the Istan nerf there are only a few LWS4 maps I actually still visit. This is just stupid at this point, this isn't a Legendary.
  13. Wow, Anet. What a nice F.U. considering how hard it can be to get that currency. I've never had a stack of anything but the Istan one and only because of the farm (that got nerfed and with it, my source). This isn't fun but I guess at least these parts can be soloed...
  14. This. This statement should be upheld as the very essence of this entire thread. As many of the skyscale collection detractors have already said, we don't want the mount instantly, or for absolutely no effort. However, that doesn't excuse the current acquisition process, which is repetitive, uninteresting, not commensurate with the (un)usefulness of the mount itself, and a completely unannounced departure from all seven previous mount acquisition quests. I'm glad some of you seem to get something out of the meaningless delay, but I find it very hard to believe that any of this process really prioritized the quality of the player experience. I'd be fine with it not being player-centric if it at least remained consistent with the rest of the game, or important aspects of the episode. I find that it fails to be either of those things. I'm trying to keep an open mind about what we'll hear on the 24th about all this, but somehow I don't think the discussion will be very frank. Exactly this.Like I said, if I want to make a Legendary - I can look up exactly what's involved and I can decide before taking a single step or spending any time or gold if #1 it's worth it to me and #2 if I can actually do all that's needed to complete it.None of us got this option with Skyscale. It's like sorting an impossibly tall stack of papers and then someone pops up the next day saying "Oh that was just the first one" and points to a second stack of papers taller than the first. Then you finish that one and oh look, a third. It would have been nice to know this going in. People could have planned and decided if it was worth it. What's the point of hiding what this mount entails?
