pinerider.1950's Achievements

  1. Yes, you'll be able to teleport to them without having to do the opening mission of EoD.
  2. Look for Agent Zrii at the Pact Base Camp by Pact Base Camp Waypoint, and talk to her. She should have a dialog option "Any chance you can smuggle me behind enemy lines?", which will let you teleport back to that instance.
  3. It's a choice in the Heroic Chest, which you get for purchasing the Heroic Edition of Guild Wars 2 or purchasing the Digital Deluxe Upgrade in the gem store. Heroic Chest
  4. Mount skills are grouped by either Mount Ability 1 or 2, probably to save on how many key binds would be added to the options. In this case, Dive is Mount Ability 2, so you'll want to go in to the settings and change that key bind (it should be bound to C by default).
  5. Seconding that you can only harvest once per day on your account (going into a friend's home instance won't allow you to double dip either), but both the Grove and Rata Suum count as Maguuma Jungle, so you can pick whichever one has the node layout you prefer.
  6. I use it regularly on my Skyscale, since your launch point can be up in the air so the arc from the skill gets extended more than it would on any of the ground mounts and no fall damage.
  7. They've been in the tier rewards for the first few parts of the Icebrood Saga part of the Return to Living World achievements.
  8. Did you go and open the Vault after completing the Treasure Slueth achievement? It looks like Treasure Sleuth achievement might end after finding the 6th Treasure Hunter, so opening the Vault to get the Ancient Norn Talisman, which is what unlocks the Significant Otter achievement, isn't technically a part of any achievement. And according to the wiki page for Memory of Otter, it is possible to get Memories of Otter before you've unlocked the Significant Otter achievement by salvaging Stormcaller Weapons. 9. Here's my setup: Ctrl + Z - Raptor Ctrl + X - Springer Ctrl + C - Default, which I set to the newest mount, so currently Skyscale Ctrl + V - Skimmer Ctrl + 1 - Jackal Ctrl + 2 - Griffon Ctrl + 3 - Roller Beetle So I still have Q, W, E, A, S, D, and F that I can reach with no effort, and R and 4 would need a little bit of a reach to get.
  10. If you get the Ley-Energy Matter Converter, you can get 1 free HoT chest key per day (so either 1 Crowbar, Exalted Key, Vial of Chak Acid, or Machete). It's earned by killing the Mouth of Mordremoth in 20 minutes or less. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Ley-Energy_Matter_Converter
  11. Your first example is why it probably can't work, at least for Ele. The Weaver's sword skill 3 is determined by the two elements you're currently attuned to, which is a Weaver only mechanic. They could just force it to use the pure element skills, but at least for me, outside of the fire/fire one, I prefer the mixed element 3 skills on the sword.
  12. Mukluk did a video showing what each of these salvage kits does, if a showcase of each would help you make sense out of them more, which I've linked below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Epadskv9_Xg
  13. Yup, for 50 gold and 10k Volatile Magic: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Brandstone_Node
  14. Here's my one Charr (female) that kinda fits the tribal/Olmakhan look you're looking for, except for the face I'm guessing, and not being male. The Spearmarshal chest covers more than I was remembering, but the Ritualist outfit shows a good bit. The hair on my female requires a hair kit or makeover kit to get, so there could be something similar for male Charr in there as well. The staff is the Ritualist staff, the chest is Spearmarshal, the gloves are leystone (for the wispy effect), the boots are Requiem boots (wispy effect again), the shoulders are the Olmakhan shoulders, and the back piece is the Grand Wind Catcher (head piece hidden). The Olmakhan horns are female only, and require a total makeover kit to get (there's a different one for male Charr that can be acquired in the same way), which you can see how to do here: https://reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/82i8tg/charr_horns_glow_glitch/ Hope this helps a bit.
  15. No, it is not... quite. You can dive with super speed and gain an incredible amount of altitude. Let me reiterate: when a plane is in flight it can gain altitude by either adding power to the engines or using a dive to gain enough speed to then climb. The Gryphon's can, at best, maintain a level flight path for a short distance but then they slowly glide towards the ground. And, unless I've missed something, I have yet to have my Gryphon gain altitude on a long glide.Putting a Gryphon into a dive and then "pulling up" does not actually lead to a gain in altitude just an increase in speed. At around 19 seconds in, the person on their griffon uses their super speed, or whatever it's called, to climb to a much higher altitude than it was currently gliding at, and then doing another dive to regain super speed, so that they could climb to a higher altitude again if they wanted/needed to, but in this instance they finished the course, so climbing again isn't necessary. Assuming that a person's reflexes are good enough, and there's plenty of space below you, I believe it should be possible to keep a griffon in the air indefinitely with the dive/super speed/climb mechanics.
