PSA thread coming from a necro main. Core necro has had life force drain increased to 5% per tic. No problem with that per se. But what this means is that core necro and reaper now have same % drain. The "tradeoff" between core and reaper was originally that reaper was higher damage but lost sustain as shroud drained faster. So ANet have removed that tradeoff for??? Balancing core necro makes sense, but this just seems poorly thought out.

Balance and maps are bad for 3v3 especially. And any mode that matches full pre-made against soloq is just a bad idea.

Gold 1 and Plat 3 are 6 "rungs" apart on the ladder. There is no way they should be matched together, but Anet prefers fast queue pops over decent matchmaking. They should introduce a function that allows people to toggle off the algorithm that expands the rating range of players it will add to a match. If you want faster queues, keep it on and get whack matchmaking. If you want better matchmaking, toggle off and wait a bit longer for queue pop but with people around your rating. At the moment it's the worst of both worlds where the longer you wait, the more likely you will get put into a game with players far below/ above you.

Agree that minionmancer needs nerfs even if your point about necromantic corruption assumes that all minions remain alive the entire time which is unlikely after sustain nerfs, and shroud damage reduction could take a hit although removing it entirely would be too far imo. But saying that necro mobility (spectral walk and flesh wurm) needs to be nuked and then comparing it with mirage mobility is just stupid. Wurm bugs half the time, and they are needed for a class with no in-built blocks/invuln/stab/extra evades otherwise you get stunlocked even through shroud.

Flashbang 1.5 second blind.Is this the new Shatterstone meme? Completely missing the point and doing nothing to address the real issue, but having constant minor changes anyway.

Anet said a long time ago that no class should be able to generate 25 might stacks by itself...Guess the fact that holo can passively stack 22-25 stacks easily slipped passed them. But flashbang blind is 2secs so it's all good, we have balance.

The overheat mechanic on holo should be brought into play a lot more imo.At the moment, it simply means you can't stay in holo mode the whole time, which isn't much of an issue because you can then cycle through other skills/ utilities etc.If they made it much more likely to overheat, but then tuned down the overheat punishment, it might introduce more balance. -

The whole current meta if focused around chain CC'ing your opponent. It doesn't matter if the CC themselves do 0 damage - your teammates can dps the enemies down whilst they are CC'ed and unable to react. (inb4 "judge dodge" or "just bring stun break" - there are not enough dodges/stunbreaks to deal with the amount of spammable CC floating around at the moment) -

Query for ANet or anyone else who can answer. I understood that matchmaking parameters only widened after queuing for 5 minutes, so after that length of time you're more likely to get people outside your mmr.Why then can you be matched with people 300 rating below you when queue pops after 30 seconds - 2 minutes?

But why is it ok for other specs like Power Shiro to hit a 10k strike, but not a Ranger? I've been wondering this for a very long time now. In WvW maybe, but in PvP that is extremely unlikely unless you are light armor with 25 Vulnerability. The highest I've seen is 9k and that was only 1 time. During the 2v2, I had Noir surprise me with a Power Shiro use over Condi Mallyx. The guy Phase Traversed to me from across Asuran Arena and killed my Core Necromancer in like 2s. Power Shiro deals like Triple the damage output of a Core Ranger, in half the amount of time. Like really though, I'm not just saying that. That is actually true.This one time, a core ele lightning flashed to me from across Asuran Arena and killed my Core Necromancer in like 2s with water autoattack. And what may or may not have happened to your necro in 2v2 from a rev is a super relevant point about the state of ranger pets, AI and damage modifiers from ranger traits.

Moment of Clarity is +50% damage, your defenses are useless if you've been interrupted (and armor has a soft cap of ~3k). Spotter in PvP lol BTW you don't need 25 might/ 25 vuln to get these hits out of pets, and that's part of the problem... it's not hard to pull off
