I think I have stuck 3 relics out of 35 toons since the update. Once in a while I get the urge to get back on the build craft wagon, but I look at the mess they made and give it up again.

This idea that the choice is between entry level verse raid difficulty is awfully disingenuous. If the game never requires a learning curve it won't retain anyone either.

They kind of maxxed out with mounts and have totally milked it in the innovation department since then.
It's been one dull mount thing after another since then, culminating with EoD. An expansion entirely headlined by wildly dubious extensions of mount technology. What a mess.

Anet is heavily promoting these to new players. With the Armory, legendaries are the essential long term goal for any player now, not just the traditional end game players.
I can't see this remaining as a productive approach anymore. I doubt they will stick with GoB acquisition as it currently exists.

So many players get this idea that others are there to supply recruits for their preferred end game. Really holds these games back.
It's a useful carrot to entice players sure. It becomes a slap in the face if it's too rigid.

True end game is judging other players. OP just getting his licks in. Hell I enjoy a swing or two on occasion.

Mmo games live too long and eventually eat themselves to keep going. If you enjoy learning and mastering a complex game, late stage is disappointing.

Ehh this is beyond silly at this point. I used to agree that other modes for a legendary was a useful requirement, and not too much to ask. Now the only thing the studio supports is PVE.
Nothing but spite is driving this now, just let it go. The same tired bitter arguments, smh.

There are two spare weeklies, I just don't look at those as necessary, just a nice suggestion to grab them if I want to spend the time.

The LFG is so empty to you because people blocked by you now also make squads they're in not show up in LFG for you

This may make sense for instance groups but now they need a better way to move to meta maps.
